for me not of better ROM, each material accepts the ROMS more or less well. the roms bring their batch of quality and its batch of defect, each material reacts differement. in any case it is my report after having tested many ROMS and read several post
There is not best ROM for every one, but a ROM can be perfect for me and not for you, like everyone, test, test and re-test
For the moment the best for me is the PDAViet's one but I haven't test Gullum's yet.

WEll ive tried both currently ive converted 4.0.0.6 touch to 4MB pagepool n using it wat i think both r gr8 rom developers but both have different flaws i personally like the look of PV but gullum touch performance is cool..........
A piece of advice gullum n cloudyfa should work together on an ultimate rom in which both of them remove their respective bugs n stuf....
i have tried gullum's rom,the x-button problem stays,everything else is the same as pdaviet touch rom,if you can fix this stupid screen alignement problem...
For me, x-button don't work right with Gullum's rom (thanks for your greats roms ) but it works with PDAVIET 4.0.0.6.
So , like all others post, test is the beter way...
For me, Gullum's ROM is very fast but... X-button problem is the same other guy. If the X-button can fix, I think Gullum's ROM is very fast than PV ROM

PDAVIET and Gullum are great, but if one of you could fix the wifi "catch" (sorry for my english) i want to say " don't have to play with power button to catch my home network"(maybe a regkey for detection timming), it would be difficult for me to make a choice between PDAVIET or Gullum (maybe the perfect one with GPV(GullumPdaViet)"touch"TNT1.0 )
Why choose HTC X-Button
Hi Gullum,
After tested HTC X-Button and InClose Mobile. I find that InClose is a better software because it has more functions and options to hide excluded applications and rotate, reset, screen off etc.
Perhaps you should include this as the prefer application instead of spending more time on HTC X-Button.

Solved and working cab
The X/ok button problem with my roms has been solved by meschle
There were as I was expecting after several xcluding tests some regestry entries that were missing
ok first to be shure that it works
the right xbutton solved can be found here
or if it's not to much trubble then do a hard reset and install the new xbutton fix

Do you using the verison 1.51 build 30229 ? if yes maybe a registry problem. What about a full registry dump of a device with PDAVIET that have the X button working? maybe could help.
and what about the screen allignement? i've saw in the your previous release that depending on it the x button works...

I‘ve never use the X-button.I use MagicButton instead.
Magicbutton include task manager and close program functions.it can restart PPC easily.So I like It.
Gullum Dude... chill out... Relax... spend time with the family.... **** the X-Button.....
Anyway... funny thing is that I have not had the x-button issue since TouchV3...

I hate it too... Why don't you just use something else instead of X-button so we can test your rom and maybe in the meanwhile a solution will be found for the x-button. Like another post said: Magic button, maybe.

x-button 1.5 doesn't solve the problem
I am now using Prophet TNT V4.0 and it also has the same so called x-button problem.
I do not think it is directly related with x-button. I do not have any problem when I use stylus. When I use my finger to click on x-button lower right edge (contacts on today screen) is clicked or my touch has no effect at all. I think it is related with touch dll's or a registry setting. When not using stylus I press OK button instead of touching x-button, or I try to use my nail
I also confirm that pdaviet 4.0.0.6 doesn't have the same problem but I prefer cubeless and faster tnt4+stylus.
I tried to use the Touch.dll from PDAVIET and same problem the it's probable a reg setting thats wrong or maybe dobled somehow

Hi gullum - did you place the touch.dll in the touch.dll folder or free in the dump - i solved the ok\close issue on my artemis by deleting touch.dll folder in the dump placing touch.dll free in the dump and then cooking rom - hope that works with your prophet.

now that intrestin I place the touch.dll inside the OEMdriver folder while Claudyfa has placed it inside the touchflo folder so it's worth a try

Yep i was getting pissed off like you before i cracked onto that - works like a charm now Let us know if it works or if you need any other help.
EDIT If you have no joy - i will take you through step by step what i did - i dont use a kitchen but cook manually on the whole.
I use htc x-button 1.51 build 30229 and have no issues - its the dll and its whereabouts - not htc x-button.
I cant say about build version but, making *.dsm file populated ( see my signature) may solve ur problem.
however what i use on my test rom flwless is here

OK. Will try to download and reflash again. Luckily after removing the battery, it loaded up again. I still got some old files from the old ROM together with the new ROM. Did a hard reset still persist.
Will tell the results after reflashing.

Anyway, congratulations for being the first one to release a manila 2D ROM onto atom exec. Thanks for the effort. Hopefully there will be updates in the future.

It isn't a bug. CF8381PN1 doesn't support WPA-PSK. It is a hardware issue.

Im using this now and really like it actually, it works great for me. Only thing I did not like is that I didn't have CoPilot Live installed like before (added it myself now), and the Showcase is a pain in the %$^^, I prefer the old task switcher. Other than that it is great, thanks for all the work!

Hi,
I am using your last revision posted and am having an email issue, not sure if it is the firmware/software or my provider, Rogers Wireless.
It will randomly not connect to 3g (presumably Rogers problem), and will not update my email count on time (I have it set to 5 min, it sometimes takes up to an hour). This worked fine with my old firmwares. I have to manually switch to the email icon for it to update, and sometimes have to manually request an update. Anyone else having that issue?

Btw, what you tweaked to increase ring volume? Iolite speaker is not so good as Polaris.

I had assumed it was built into this rom. I simply flashed the rom in the first link. To reproduce I do nothing, it just wont update my emails sporratically, and will either require a manual check, or I have to drag my finger over to the mail icon for it to check - it will not auto update mail. Other times it is fine and just terribly delayed.
I suspect some of the issues are with Rogers as they have been having problems with their data.
try this
1) open Programms -> ActiveSync
2) choose Menu -> Schedule
What settings do you have there?
If it says "manual" you should change these settings.

Flashed last night.....stable,fast,nice looking,till now found no bugs.....
waiting to see battery behaviour
two things i am missing here:
-default wm 6.5 locking screen (i like it much)
-default 3 row icons in programs tab and in all programs(i can find cab for 4 rows but cannot find cab for reverting it back to 3 rows)
...is there any cab or registry solution for these things i am missing......best regards

Amazing ! a fantastic ROM ; 28xxxx O/S is really sweet and this is a quick one...none of the usual lags that this build usually has.. Also been testing all day & not found a single bug - apart from the MS weather fast link having the wrong icon Windows live; sync; gps all work..

Lag in Typing

Found some lag in typing sms's.
Anyone else have this problem? I sms alot and typing speed is important.
Seems many of these latest WM builds have slow response keyboards.
I have disabled all 'vibrate' features but still lags occur.

What about the syntax for phone #
Well after going from swedish stock ROM to WWE ROM I have always woundered if its possible to change the "(xxx) xxx-xxxx" syntax for telephone number stred in the phone book to the scandinivian style from HTC ROM?
Hmmm.. Isn't that a setting under System->Regional Settings? But I'll have a look at it

Thanks, I will try it, cause I'm having some bad luck with roms, my menu is horribly lagging .
This is a very stock ROM so it shouldn't be any lag
I really-really likes stock like ROM, especially when Manila included, keep in going Sir..

-Start menu is SUPER tiny. Is there a way to change it with a CAB or registry key?
-Dailer is still WinMo stock, a bit hard to use. Is there a way to add the Raphael one with a CAB?
-HTC YouTube app is no longer present as it was in last version. Is there a way to add that with a CAB?

It's under "Internet" on the start menu, at least I have it there
Long time stalker, first time poster. I've flashed MANY roms since I found this place quite some time ago. And I must say that this ROM, flashed several days ago, has so far been the best fit for me and my needs. So please, if there's anyway to improve upon it w/updates post away and I'll happily update a.s.a.p.
