is there a cab or something to remove the voice dialer altogether?
Before I switched to a custom rom that didnt have it installed, I removed the shortcuts (.ink files) and deleted all the registry values that related to it. Unfortunately, the Cyberon Voice Dialer .exe file is in the rom and cannot be removed. But if you remove the fore mentioned, then it will be rendered useless although it just takes up space in the rom.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a registry edit to get the voicemail option to work. I press the record button and nothing happens. I have VITO'S Audio Touch Notes if maybe that is the problem I will delete it from my phone.
Thank You,
Jraygoza
Add something like Cyberon voice speed dial, or Microsoft voice command, and HTC voice recorder.
That is how I got it to work on MY ROM's I use Cyberon. Just watch out for the AP enable and the sddaemon shortcut I had problems with those so I edited the OEM package. I uploaded MY edited cyberon OEM package for you to use. I Cabbed it also.
Thank You, Sir! I will try it out in a few.
Jorge
Ryan,
I installed what you put up, but voice dialing works fine. The problem still is that Im not able to send a voicemail text or add audio from the phone. I can add audio using the notes program we have on the phone. I found something in the registry where there is a path for audio but couldn't figure it out.
thanks
jorge
For example:
Rhodium's SMS tab has it so if you tap the message itself, you go to the contact SMS log within Rhodium. However, in previous version, and if you use the softkey menu to reply, it would go to the WinMo SMS section. Anyone know if you can change this, and if so, which manila file to edit (and how, etc?)
Would be sweet.. searched around for this, can't find it.
Well here's a cab to disable the rhodium sms app, and take you directly to winmo's sms instead. I don't know of any other ways to change any other tabs
i'm running one of the 2.2.1 roms [Juwe's Smart Edition v1.9 XWJS8]
and i've noticed something-
It seems the alphanumeric dialer is there when you first dial a number, but after that, when you access the dialer the alphabet part of the dialer has disappeared, which makes it kind of hard to search names etc in a company directory.
Do you guys know any fixes for this?
hello,
I am a SCH-I535 (verizon) owner. Unfortunately, our version of the touchwiz dialer application lacks the "internet call settings" heading within call settings, which effectively blocks us from utilizing the android native SIP stack (for VoIP calls and such) requiring you to use 3rd party apps like sipdroid etc. which is undesirable for me. (please don't lecture me about better codecs in the 3rd party apps - im not that concerned).
I have placed the xml permissions file for SIP in /system/etc/permissions and double checked the values of bools.xml in framework-res.apk as mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109962
and everything checks out. If I use Anycut, i can get a widget shortcut to the SIP menu where I can add sip accounts and what not and it says they register but I cant receive calls and furthermore, without the submenu in dialer settings, I can't choose to dial out using it.
I am hoping that I can swap out SecPhone.apk and whatever other files are used for the dialer, with ones from the I9300, and maybe I can get it to work. OR it could be something way more.. maybe they check build.prop to see what model of phone I have.. idk
anyway, if anyone knows what files I should swap out, and could help me out, i would greatly appreciate it. Im also not sure if having different radios will make those apks any different.. that seems like it would be a more low level thing.
here's my thread in the Verizon galaxy s III dev forum if youre interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1807560
Hi,
does anyone know a dialer app, that has a stock Samsung Dialer functionality to mark calls in call log and then delete them? I was searching all over the net and forums, but with no luck. All they offer is "remove all calls from call log" or single call delete within menu.
Or even better, if someone could tell me, if there is a possibility to install Samsung stock dialer (4.x) to custom AOSP/AOKP/CM ROM. Because as far as I know, you cannot.
Thanks!
