I have the new Windows Mobile 6.1 Rom from the Hermes. So i was wondering if someone that is good at rom editing could convert it to a Sprint version for the Mogul.

I've been running the build that bepe released since yesterday, it runs well minus some issues i've been having with exchange activesync. I've been trying to port the XIP over but I get the white screen of death or black screen of death ... even with just coredll, it runs fine with xip from 3.16 though.
I would say it runs a bit more smoothly, but without benchmarks anything I say is moot.

Although, I will say drag-and-drop of sys folder is enough if you merge it back into a os.nb with 3.16's XIP on it.

i cant get buildxip to work for titan but it has to be something small im overlooking... trying to compare hex of an out.bin and xip_out.bin now

i sucesfully ported using the old manual method. seems like buildxip doesn't like the titan's format.

btw, i recommend a 6mb pagepool for wm6.1 based on some posts about wm6.1 not liking 4mb pagepools on the hermes forum.

I have installed your italian rom with chinese language package, and found it very effective. For instance, I used other rom to open e-sword, a freeware bible, if i opened one long chapter, other rom will eventually become sluggish. But this rom can go to the very end of the chapater without sluggish. Your touchflo is also very responsive, but it will conflict with Chinese handwriting input like other roms except ap4. Looking forward to your English rom eagerly. Brovo!

Nice to hear a good testimony on MiChY's ROM. I suspect that it would be good. BTW, if you replace your HTC TouchFLO with FtouchSL, I think you should be able to use hand writing without problem. Anyway, I find FtouchSL to be much better than HTC TouchFlo. FtouchSL works with many more applications, such as excel, whereas HTC TouchFlo does not. Hope this helps.

Resco explorer 2008 or Total Commander let you see this.
But I don't think this ROM has placed any cab there though.

if your wondering how this happen, i was and idiot and was not paying attion to my os.nb file size, luckly i only went over enough to corrupt the SecondarySplash Screen, but thanks to super cmonex i was able to fix it.

Ouch. I know I've gone over before, but I don't think I've ever corrupted anything before. I didn't know that it's possible to actually get things that bad.

With all the modifying I will make, How would I know if I'm under or over the file size?
Second, what is that a measure of? ie. the numbers for spl 1.2 and 3.5 stated in the first post......is that ROM size? Just need a lil clarification!!!!

well when you cook a rom you will get a os.nb or windows.nb file the numbers in the first post are the respected files sizes for spl 1.2 and spl 3.5.
All i did was but the files size in bytes / Kilobytes / Megabytes
Oh...I think I get it. So what you posted up top is the maximum file size for that specific spl? And, if you go over that amount (depending on spl using) than you can possibly create what you posted in the image. Is that correct?

well it depends on how much you went over if its not that much then you should flash the htc wm6 rom so it will write over the splash screen and ext rom if it give you a corrupt model ID or your wifi does not work then you will need to use cmonex model ID and Wifi fixer app but first download the htc wm6 rom and see if it works

Thanks Irus for the helpfull information...Yes I'm getting the model ID error when I'm trying to flash it again...Before it happen, It flash just fine but when I started installing my softwares and reboot, that is when I got the pixel screen...
I'm currently searching and downloading the apps you have stayed above...I will let you know what happen...Again Thank You for the help...D

Irus, Thank you so much for the information...I downloaded the apps you stated...After a hours of frustration , I had to take a break from it (WOOSAAAA) before I through the HTC against the wall..After an hour break, I realize want a idoit I am...When I type in at the cmd prompt "lnb filename 7650800", I suppose to put the actional filename with extension...Duh ...
All in all, it worked and I got my HTC happy again...

i've tried every single one of your ROM's/Kitchens and i've always reported that EPST did not work. well i'm with cricKet, and i decided to try the sprint carrier cab instead, and BAM!!! EPST works. all along, the issues were the cricKet carrier cabs. this ROM is wicked fast!!!
edit: if you install the sprint carrier cab first and then the cricKet carrier cab, everything works including EPST!!!

Now I have something to do during biology tomorrow. I almost had to pay attention
Downloading Kitchen now! I have to start clearing out some of these older kitchens! Thank you much dcd... Have been a loyal fan since I got my Mogul in February... The recent Official Sprint ROM totally screwed up my data and I had to get a new phone from Sprint... am putting everything on the new phone before I activate...
This is probably the fastest rom I've loaded to date. With others I wasn't sure if It was placebo or if I was indeed noticing a SLIGHT increase in speed, but with this I can say I certainly see a notable improvement.
GPS works like a charm.
As a note: I'm seeing big bars for signal strength on Sprint. I know several will be happy about this.

Lol thats why i was not intrested in doing it, i confirmed from a friend at Microsoft, it is a pre-pre beta build that they developed in the mid of last year. Its a very old build and its in very early development stage. The Base CE OS is also 6.1 although it shows 6.5
Anyways, good job bro. In the end, what you used for porting XIP?

old gene user if u flash this rom and gene freeze at splash screen do thish
1. hold camera button
2. keep holding camera button and symaltaniously reset gene with stylus
3. u get tri color screen
3. plug usb cable
4 u see usb on left bottom corner
5. rum ruu and flash with different rom

What i wanted to ask is with manilla running, how much free RAM and Userspace are you getting, and currently what packages are you using in this ROM, can you give a detailed list of them. Maybe this ROM is not very usable as it is, but it can be used as base for creating a good one. What do you say?
@blueangel180: CHome is the new Today Screen that is debuting in Wm 6.5. Its similar to the Homescreen of WM 6.1 Smartphone Edition. Look at the video of WM 6.5 port on HTC BlueAngel for more details. Search on the net, its very was to find these days.

this is like base rom contain nothing only htc task manager and camera
i post fully loaded rom contain m2d, htc audio manager, htc album .....

DOWNLOAD KITCHEN
This is a completely new kitchen format that I have been wanting to do for a long time now. It will help make updates alot easier as well as make build comparison alot easier.
If you get an error or wierd prompts after making the OS choice. Close Kitchen and delete the SYS and ROM folder from the main directory.
At first I will just upload the kitchen in its entirity. Future updates will be simply packages that need added to the kitchen CEOS folder.
I'm going to consider this beta at the present time so I would really like some feedback on the functions.
One last thing..... a huge thanks goes out to Juicy47 for giving me the missing link to my code and Indagroove for teaching me what I was missing about XIP's. Please visit thier thread either for some thanks or donations. If it wasnt for guys like those, guys like me would be nothing more than a typical user.

I'm not finding any nbh file or something similar- How do I use the ROM updater without an nbh file? Is this for manual update? I thought even manual via sd-card required an nbh file?...

after you cook your rom the nbh file will be in **kitchen directory**/Tools/RUU

If I used your V2 fix / ppst 1.46 prior to VZW's new MR1 release, upon flashing MR1, will I brick or lose anything? Do I even need it? Some say there's improvement especially with AGPS/acquisition...
Do I have to re-lock before MR1?

Any particular reason that Titanium Weather would break as soon as I go through the setup and full update? I've tried both cooking it in and installing it afterwards..... same results. It checks the internet for the update and then all the icons disappear except for a red X on the left. I've also tried to add additional icon packs and install MortScript separately but no luck....

bored, for some reason after loading your rom(from the kitchen) i had no access to the start button and any time i touched the screen to go to another tab it gave me some message about nothing running or something like that. i loved that it was only running around 50% but i could not fix the problem even after remaking the rom. this forced me to go back to SSK's rom. im not sure what the issue was.
