Sound program not working on 2.1 - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

I am using a very complex program for guitar tuning as well as other sounds and it is not starting in 2.1 as it did with VZW stock rom; it is truly an indispensable program for a musician and would hate to lose it. As I click on the prog, it looks like it will work going black then goes back to today.
Could this be an issue with the sound issues had with other users? Could this be repaired in 2.2?

Any 6.5 ROMs with BT controls working?

I've looked through several of the 6.5 rom threads and flashed a few, but haven't found one where the BT headphone controls work. I know MS made changes in 6.5 (thanks B4PJ), but was wondering if any of the 6.5 chefs had overcome the problem. thanks for any tips!
are you talking about audio controls? like next/previous/play+pause?
If so, ive got mine working with the newest energy rom and mortplayer
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Mortscript, huh? Could you point me to a thread to learn more about how that works?
I'm using a Jabra 3030 stereo bt headset and it works great with arrup's ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=521007 . his even comes with a real nice interface s2p found in the multimedia folder that has built in support for bt. I'd try his out. Also Nrg's ROM seemed pretty nice I just think arrup's is a little more stable, but Nrg's is probably a little faster. hard to tell though. Nrg's is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517296 . Both are really great chefs. and BT worked with both for me. definetly try arrup's first though if you're having BT trouble, like I said the S2P app. has support built in. it's basically a really nice skin for WMP, but seems to work a lot smoother, and actually allows what you were listening to when you turned it off to come back up.

Appreciate the assist - BT is working, I can hear music and make phone calls, etc. I just can pause/FF/RW music, or answer or hang up calls because the BT controls don't work... I think I'm headed back to 6.1.

Mortplayer. not mortscript. its a completely different audio program. i havent tested avcrp controls on any other program...
AVRCP doesn't work in the newest Manilla3D but it works in Coreplayer. It's not WM6.5
The problem lies with HTC's AudioMAnager not having been updated to the new WM6.5 API's. All WM6.5 ROMS with WMPlayer work fine with the AVRCP, and most other media players work off the WMPlayer API's. AudioManager by HTC is totally standalone and hence it does not work.
BT Controls work with ShEp's ROM as well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497699

That's what I mean. the controls all work on Arrup's ROM for me. pause/ff/rw/answer call. all work on arrup's 6.5, and most others from what I've seen and heard..

Equalizer

I searched through here and google, and couldn't find an answer.
Does anyone know if the 2.0 update will have an equalizer? Is it really that hard?
I don't think it have equalizer, they work only for: Contacts and accounts
Email
Messaging
Camera
Android virtual keyboard
Browser
Calendar
Media Framework
Bluetooth
New Framework APIs
I'm very happy that they work for bt Try to find something on the market
i have no idea what carmen2009 is getting at... but as far as I've read, no, it will not. I don't think it would be that difficult to create an app that would control the EQ.
I've been waiting for an equalizer too. I just want to tune the high end pitch note.
For me, the equaliser is probably my only fault with the phone.I've came from an N97 to a Hero, and the media player on that was amazing, drove my headphones perfectly. The Hero still sounds great and drives the phones well, its just that with no EQ, it isn't really a viable as an all in 1 phone/media player/internet device.
Maybe this will help:
The Equalizer from the 2.1 Milestone update.
Doesn't work on my 1.5 stock Hero...

Bass boost?

Is it possible to add more bass to ROM? It not so bad, but id like to have more bass, hmm?
If you use a ROM with DSPmanager (froyo only afaik, as Alankila targeted it at CM/Froyd Villain), then it has a proper graphic equaliser to boost the bass
Thanks, you know, i prefer 2.1 with sense. I used to use some players with graphic equalizer, but it gives a sh*t, not a bass;p
Can it be used in 2.1?
Moved to Q&A.
I don't think it will work as it requires compiled libs etc, though you can always try. I'm pretty sure it won't work though, as I think someone else has tried before
Firt of all, thank for nice ROM, second:
IT IS GREAT! I finally have what a always wanted, great music from Hro. Thanks again.
The only bad thing is I have to come back and covert my iMobster account, ech;(

Yes i flashed froyd I havent tryied it 2.1
I think Louder Volume Hack works on 2.1, though I'm not enirely sure if it has a graphical eq.

[Q] Alter/Disable the HTC Volume Control

I've done some searching (yes, really) and I've got a question that I can't locate an answer for, if one exists.
I'd like to be able to use the volume buttons on my HD2 to actually do just that: control the volume, but I'd like to be able to do it without that damned volume control app taking complete control of whatever is happening at the time. Primarily I do a lot of audio and video stuff on my HD2, and I have to admit I'm just sick and tired of seeing that happen.
I've used PocketPCs for years (Axims, iPAQs, etc) and I have always been able to re-assign any hardware buttons using whatever app I want (I use TCPMP for video playback, Nitrogen for audio) and it seems like the HD2 just won't do it.
I'm using the stock whatever on this device, just got it a day ago. Specs say OS version is 5.2.21892, Manila version is 2.5.20121412.2, ROM version 2.13.531.1 with a date of 4/28/10 on it. I know I can muck around with all sorts of various ROMs once I learn more about this particular device, HSPL and Android and all that fun stuff but, can anyone tell me if it's possible to control the volume in an app like TCPMP or Nitrogen with the display off without having the damned thing kick the app out to show that onscreen volume control?
And what's with the huge jumps in volume with a single press of the buttons, that seems a bit odd. If I can't get this device to do what I want then I'm going to dump it and just go back to my trusty Axim X51v that has never let me down. I don't want to do that but this is just irritating beyond belief. One press of that volume and whatever I'm playing, be it music or video, gets kicked out which is damned odd. I can't even map the volume buttons with those apps for some reason, they won't take over the mapping.
Or am I just doing something wrong someplace...
look here to remove htc volume control and get the classic wm volume control
Yah, I had tried that solution and it was a no go. The volume control popup still happens (the old WM one) and now it adds that damned "BEEP" as well. Crap. It's hard to believe that a nearly 7 year old Axim X51v is superior in that respect over such a device as this HD2, I had such high hopes but I'm starting to think maybe dumping this thing is a better idea. Can't even get proper video acceleration with a Snapdragon platform device and my X51v can do hardware decoding of most any video I have without breaking a sweat. I watch pretty much every Xvid video encoding that I've got at 208 MHz for way longer battery life and the Intel 2200 GPU handles it without a single issue - this HD2 chokes if I try to do that with the same clips, go figure.
I thought technology was supposed to get better as time went by.
Bleh, dammit. A volume control should do that and only that: adjust the volume without doing anything else, including interrupting whatever application happens to be running, especially multimedia apps. Pretty irritating that it continues to stop playback so much, and even using HTC's media player of sorts the actual volume jumps are pretty excessive, like 20% per press. Where the hell did they come up with that huge gap from?
Oh well... just relisted it on craigslist for a quick sale.
Thanks for the help.
i woukd like to change the number of "steps" of the volume control. having only 5 levels totally sucks when listenig to music -_- anyone who knows how to do this? maybe it's possible to replace that volume control with the one of the music tab?
you could use a button remapper to run a different volume app, either of the following should work:
I have one called setVolume, written by von Daniel Schumann, I found it here somewhere. It is a command line .exe with has no visual or audio nitification, and 10% increments.
The other option is use mortscript to change the volume.

Thanks for the info but the HD2 sold quick as expected. I'll most likely replace it if I get another crack at one for a decent price but it's unlikely - that one only cost me $100 by someone that was pretty desperate for some quick cash so, I made $75 off the deal by reselling it.
Just before I sold it I started finding out ways to fix a lot of the issues I was having as well as a killer simple 1-2-3 step process of using HandBrake to make nearly flawless DVD or whatever transfers to videos for the HD2 also. Almost to the minute I was about to sell it I kept telling myself I should keep it but, with the first of the month now here I needed the cash to get caught up on some bills.
But I'll most likely get another one at some point. The HD7 just doesn't appeal to me for a variety of reasons. We'll see what happens.

Sound problems with use of Equalizer

Hey guys!
Ok so heres the problem: I have rooted my Note. I attempted to use a sound enhancer to make the bass in my Beats (Dont wanna hear the hate, okay?) and for some reason I get nothing but sound problems with play back. It pops, cracks and randomly cuts off (The sound enhancement). I figured it was the Rom so I loaded up another one. Same deal. So I tried an AOSP ROM. Its works perfectly. I would use that rom but I am SEVERELY missing my S-pen functionality. So I just decided to completely unroot and go back to stock, hoping that would fix all my problems. I would get a properly working sound enhancer and S-pen functionality. Well now that im back on stock, the EQ is not working again...Is this a problem with touchwiz or the Note itself!? Im getting super frustrated. Ive wasted time and my patience is almost gone...I just cant seem to figure it out. Any ideas?
Make sure you don't have two equalizer or sound processors running simultaneously.
