I am trying to do a radio only upgrade using the trinity 1.27 rom on my hermes 100. I have followed all the steps to the letter and have got to the point of modifying the nbhgen.txt file completed. On running the upgrade It is fine up to the updating of the rom @ 0%. I am confronted with an "Error 260". The txt file that came with this rom suggested a computer and pda reboot. which i have done several times. (still unsuccesful ).
Any help would be greatfully appreciated and thanks in advance.
Hi guys, i have little/big problem. I have bricked hermes, SPL 2.03, before with no radio message... when i try to flash some rom, it stucks and restart at 1%, when i try sd card flash, i get red 00062008 error, or 00028002 error. when i was trying official shipped rom, it seems good, until it was flashing radio part, then it stucks... so.. is possible to help? and, is possible to find some shipped rom without radio? KITL is not supported by the phone now... any solution please? even it i can use it as a pda only... thanks very much for quick replies
Do a search on here for a program called Rom Koch. You can pull the radio out of your stock rom. Then reflash and use as a PDA.

Yes, i tried it before, but without success, because if i modify original rom this way, herm doesn't recognize it as a stock rom, but as a cooked rom (even if i set the same cid as stock rom), and i get red error again... this does't work..

I am in desperate need of some help from you all, and the great rom chefs here.
What exactly happened:
From past 2-3 roms (pandora 1.0, 1.1, PDAVIET-v6,v7) i have been having regular MANILA freezes. it would freeze within 12 hours of flashing, and in the last 2 flashes, it froze within 1 hour, without me installing anything.
Titanium worked fine. untill that started hanging too.
So i tried reflashing the 1.6 official rom, thinking that might clear up some bugs as its the official rom.
while trying to flash it (from my sd card directly) it gave up an error - Invalid DEVICE.
I restarted and went into bootloader again, and then i started getting this error :
UPGRADE ROM CODE ERROR
PLEASE TRY AGAIN
Now i have tried reflashing from the computer, and also from the sd card directly, 1.6 official , pandora 1.1, pdaviet v7, but to no success.
All the time it still gets stuck on that screen.
I have tried hspl'ing it again, it was successful - the hspl procedure, but then still no rom loads onto it.
Even tried using the sspl, but still nothing happens. With SSPL, it shows flashing as 0%, and stays there forever!
PLEASE HELP guys!

so what is the device status currently?
can u boot into a main manilla or titanium screen?
Can you get to bootloader? Were you flahsing ROMs using SSPL or HSPL?

i dont know if this might work, try to get stock rom, xxx.exe, rename xxx.exe to xxx.rar and unpack it. you should see RUU_signed.nbh and rename to leoimg.nbh. put leoimg.nbh in the root of your sd card. and flash use vol down+power button.
oh, there was a mistake!
When you firstly flashed your device with 1.6 official from sd card, this removed hspl and the device checked your rom's region id. I guess you have used offical roms from other areas. So the process stopped when the device checked the cid.
At this stage, you should find out the offical rom from your area, and re-flash it from sd card, then everything will be fine.
But you didn't, you tried re-hspl and sspl...and i don't know what the consequence will be.
So? Did you get it fixed mate?
Any update? if you haven't fixed it yet PM me.
If it is de wrong region rom you tried to flash do you might need to flash it with a goldcard?

Just flash your original rom using htc ruu will do. been there, done that
yeah flash the 142 or 148 rom that is appropriate for your device.. and use teh exe/ruu that came with it rather than sdcard.
what's the betting you needed the goldcard to flash 161? which is why you're having issues trying to reflash it ?

Hi,
You could try this,
1) flash HSPL first.
2) flash the stockrom one more time from storage card.
This will erase hardspl so if you want to flash custom roms again you need to flash HSPL one more time after you flashed the stockrom.

at this point You've got to flash HTC official ROM with a Golcard.
Or your operator's rom directly from bootloader.

Did you try flashing thru boatloader official Rom (from your region) ?
I tried to install the latest HTC official rom but the setup stops at 9%
"Error [290]: invalid command"
It seems a problem of Radio... not rom...

You have to flash 1.43 of your Region thru boatloader. If boatloader does not work thru goldcard.
I tried with italian 1.43 official rom also but the setup keeps stopping... Tried also using a goldcard, created using qmat
Okay, so I was trying to install the recently released gingerbread onto my Eris. For some reason it didnt work, but i had already deleted my system and cache and now I am left with a phone with absolutely no software on it.
I can't boot into bootloader, fastboot, hboot, or anything.
I'm not worried about the gingerbread now. Now my main goal is to just get back to my stock 2.1 or hell, stock 1.5. Anyways, I am trying to use an RUU and it keeps failing. The error message I am receiving is...
"The ROM Update Utility cannot open the requested files or the files are damaged. The RUU cannot continue with the update.
Please get a complete RUU package and try again."
I have tried several different RUU downloads and it's just been a total fail. If anyone can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you got a bad download. Always check the 5sum and perform a nand backup before making any big changes.
That being said, is there anyway to sideload a new ROM onto your SD? The usual way is to plug in the USB and use your phone like a thumb drive.

(Note: this is pretty extreme and can leave you with a bricked Eris anyway. I'd still start trying to install the PB00IMG.zip file from the leak V3 ROM, to see if that works.)
I have an XT912 flashed to PagePlus. I want to update it to .165 but it's not letting me.
First, the OTA nags stopped the second I connected to PP so I found an update zip to manually flash it over at Droidrazr.com. From Howardforums, people said they were able to do the OTA by reverting a setting in the buildprop that was changed during the flashing and temp unrooted with Voodoo. Then just put everything back when it was done.
I went into recovery and attempted to flash it. There were errors about Acousticwarning.apk. After some reading, it seems there was a conflict that the update couldn't find the bloatware that I removed. One thread said to copy/paste the apks from the system/app file in the stock rom elsewhere to my phone (I took them from the stock rom in Matt's utility). Didn't work. So, I used Matt's utility to flash stock (without data wipe) and tried again. No dice. The phone started downloading the OTA and then aborted the install. Twice. During all of this, I had lost the settings for the PP flash. I reflashed for PP and got everything working, but I still can't get the .165 update to install.
Any ideas?
