GPS not working after hard reset - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

Got phone at Verizon.
Installed youtube flash utility, works great.
Then did all installs to get GPS working, working great.
Tinkered with the wrong reg code and had to hard reset my phone. GPS was still working, called verizon for a new akey and now I can't adjust the COM port settings on the hardware tab. I change it but when I hit ok, it just resets it back to (none).
I was trying to get PIE to look like IE6 when I screwed up my reg if that helps...or if anyone knows how to do that as the 6700 reg hack didn't seem to work.
Im guessing I need to re install one of the roms or was hoping it was a reg setting I could change.

mms and 2003

well i know that xda2 have mms support
but i cant see any software in the 2003 on my xda1
so i just want to make sure that i still need to use
ezwap to use mms on xda1 ?
Yeap sorry, you'll still need to use it!
HTH
i installed the mms form o2 (xda2) on my 2003 att 2003
and it seems to work fine.
somthing in those progrms freezes my pda tho, not sure wich program.
the caller id seem to work.
Interesting, I tried that once and it didn't work!
Whats the name of the files you
used to get your working installation?
qman... i 'm having great dificulty with this upgrade!!!
i've had to hard reset more than a dozen times...
the main reason is, i cant connect to gprs.
even tho i've replaced the proxy with internet2.voicestream.com
HOWEVER, it seems to randomly successfully access my inbox and sometimes msn chat. with NO set modem! because some times the option to add a connection isnt on the list no more.
about the mms... if i install EVERYTHING in that extended rom zip.. mms works... BUT the devce freezes after any followng soft reset!
im not sure what is cozing it... im trying to redo everything right now, but go back to STARTUP and remove all from it, and also not overwrite anything this time... maybe the new .dll don work.
and another thing... while my targus wireless keyboard works with 2003,
the sipix IR printer dont! it says printer not availble BUT does show up on the auto IR receive beam.. it gives the printer name and ver # , but wont print to it. im thinking its a baud rate thing.
any input is very much appriciated.

Unable to answer the phone most of the time.

I'm on a 5060 build using the Kitchen. I have HTC Home, S2U2, and anything else that was defaulted in the settings from the basekit.
I had the same problem on DCD 3.0.1 and nue 5054 and 5059. I was told it was advanced config, so I reflashed 5059 without AC, then 5060 without it. The device worked great yesterday, but this morning I couldn't answer the phone again.
I had found something that added a change soft key setting to the systems tab, I installed that and changed the setting to messaging instead of calendar, and that's when the issue returned, so I figured it was something to do with the that. I did a hard reset but the issue still remains. My next resort is a re-flash, but I really don't want to go through all that if I can avoid it.

What do you mean you cannot answer your phone?
The calls don't go through, you cannot use the send key, what's up?
I press the answer softkey or the hardware key, and it doesn't work most of the time. It will mute the ringer, but will not answer the call.
This has been discussed elsewhere in this forum and on brand X. I also had a problem with the phone not answering. If you believe what they say....and I've tried it and it seems to be working for me now......reload a ROM without Advanced Config. This seems to be the common thread to the problem....Now my calls answer almost immediately. Try it...see if it solves the problem
I did that. My 5060 build didn't have AC in it at all.
Do you have SPB Pocket Plus installed? I had the same problems, but it hasn't returned since I uninstalled PocketPlus...
Nope. No SPB. Only default 5060 basekit and HTC home/S2U2.
I've actually gone ahead and re-flashed back to Sprint 3.35, which sucks because I really really liked the 6.1 threaded SMS, but a phone that I can't answer doesn't really do me any good.
I'll just have to wait for an official 6.1 I guess.

the new PocketCM comes with threaded text..
A little update.
The GPRS_bye_if_device_off registry hack is what was causing me not to be able to answer my phone. It was supposed to improve battery life.
I had ran no2chem 5060 for a few weeks without it happening, then went to DCD 3.0.4 and it didn't happen until last night, I tried that hack. Sure enough, after the reboot, that hack is what did it. I was doing this hack just to test that theory so had a back up. I restored it and now the phone works properly again.

GPS hardware port resetting to (none)?

Hey Guys,
as the thread title says, every time i try and assign a com port to the GPS, that setting gets erased and reset to (none).. any ideas?
Update: I tried going back to the stock bell rom, and it allows me to assign a hardware port and save it. Switched back to the DCD, and even PPC one (after re-upgrading radio/bootloader) and still not working... additionally i also noticed that the ##778# program is not working either .
Any ideas again?
Is it poosible you have a task amanager running that closes programs when you click in the top right? It may be closing the settings box instead of saving it with the ok button. I've seen others with a similar issue. Try using the hard "ok" button on the phone instead of tapping ok in the top right to see if it saves.

From what I understand, the "Hardware" port is only needed if you have an external GPS connected to the phone. Being that you have no other GPS connected, it's automatically setting itself back to none. These settings are not necessary when using the internal GPS. The port located in the Programs tab is what's critical for "Programs" to use.
Mine does the same thing, but of course I don't use my external gps because I JUST got my internal working!!!
thanks for the insight guys.
Anyone have any idea as to why the ##778# program isnt working? I need it to set up data on the phone. For some reason it's not working on DCD's, but works on the stock bell, as well as JD's (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=32990)
If you're looking for EPST, try just ##778 Send. That brings it up for me.

Voice Command activated by Bluetooth

Hi people,
I just bought myself a Prophet so now I'm putting it through the paces configuring it the way I want it.
Everything is dandy on the new ROM I flashed (Prophet ROM CE OS 5.2.20721) but I am having trouble getting MS Voice Command to activate via Bluetooth.
I did a search in the forums but could not find anything on it, my question is does anyone here use BT with MSVC and can they activate MSVC with their bluetooth? If so, what ROM are you using, and what Radio Version? I'd like to get this to work as it is the most important app for me in a phone.
Thanks
Try read this topic:

Thanks, that trick never worked for me over 5 different devices, but anyway the good news is, for some reason, it suddenly worked.
I currently have Vincent's Speedy Diamond ROM (Build 20273.1.3.3) with radio 2.69. I installed Voice Command 1.6.19209, and it did not work. Then I uninstalled it, reinstalled VC 1.6.19213, still no dice, then I uninstalled that then reinstalled VC 1.6.19209, then it *still* didn't work.
Then I did a soft reset and all of a sudden it works. =_= The world is a mysterious place.
did you check this?
This cab is good for me, but to make it work with the button on your bluetooth headset
you also need to do the following changes in the registry:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule\"Windows\OEMAGW.dll"
My headset only make the "input speech name" after this change.
regards
Thanks. I prefer MS Voice Command but I'll use that if ever the miracle that happened screws up later. For now it somehow worked so I'll just hope it stays fixed!

Won't answer incoming calls

Has anyone else had this problem and/or found a solution? I have searched the threads but haven't seen anyone mention it. I have the Sprint TP and when I have an incoming call pressing the onscreen or hardware button does nothing to answer the phone. I can press a million times, but the phone doesn't pick-up. Any help would be appreciated.
Do you have stock ROM?
Have you tried soft and hard resets?
If it is stock and have tried hard reset, time for replace.
I dont know if you posted on PPC Geeks too, but someone over there was having the same problem. I had this problem as well, and it would only happen when a data connection was established. I just had to hard reset because I couldn't find any type of fix for it.
Yeah, I also posted on ppcgeeks. I think the problem is with Diamond Tweaks. Apparently it does something that changes the amount of time it take to stop a data connection when a call is coming in. Not sure which of the "Tweaks" that I changed made that a problem. eenieMINI directed me to this post that is supposed to hold a solution:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=458469&postcount=1
This fix will make your data connection always on
^^ no it wont...but it is the fix...I had the same problem.
I tried the cab file that was part of the thread in ppc geeks mentioned above and I am still having the problem. I do not have any tweaks on my phone, just the stock ROM and emoze, so that I can have push for my gmail.
I am a complete novice and would appreciate any help that can be offered with this. Also, when I disconnect emoze my phone works perfectly, so I know that it is the problem. I have contacted emoze but they have not answered.

OK, now what is phh regedit and where do I get it? Is it a self explanatory program or is there a users guide that I can read somewhere? Sorry for the complete lack of competence
I had this problem start manifesting itself when I installed Advanced Configuration (originally made for the Diamond) and tried everthing to fix it. Even setting all the settings back to default and removing the app didn't fix it. The only true fix was to do a hard reset. I havent had the problem ever since and have been using a registry editor to make the changes I wanted to do through Advanced Configuration Tool. I think because it's not 100% made for the Raphael it's making registry changes that don't necessarily apply to our phones. I dunno, that's my speculation.
I thought the directions on ppcgeeks was
straight forward. Go back to the link posted above and follow the directions. I would suggest printing them first id you are nervous. This was my first only reg edit (so far).

I had the same problem on the Touch Pro and on my previous Touch. Once Advanced Configuration was installed, I had major problems answering phone calls. Hard reset (and not reinstalling Advanced Config) solved the problem.
