I found this file running on residence after every reboot. It is in ROM so cannot be deleted but I absolutely have no idea what it is for. It bears the O2 logo as well. Does anyone have a clue?

Sorry for annoying every one here. The problem with phone is this.
I have a O2 XDA Mini S which I recently bought. The person I bought it off had removed the O2 stuff with some other ROM. There was a few niggly problems mainly the symbol keys were assigned to the wrong keys etc.
I followed a link on the O2 website which said it was an upgrade. I installed this and it appears to actually have "downgraded" the phone. Now my phone once again has all the O2 branded stuff, I'm not an O2 customer. I'm on Meteor in Ireland.
I've tried downloading almost every file I could find related to this. New ROMs etc but once I try to install them the screen goes RGB and I get Error 300 invalid update tool
As I said I've try almost all links I can find to rectify this with no joy.
Could some very nice person out there, talk me through the steps to get my phone back running with an up to date ROM?
I'd greatly appreciate it guys. I'm a total newbie at this so I hope you'll take it easy on me
you need to use shelltool.
you will find it at the top of the G4 forum.
hope this helps.
Thanks Stabloid.
I'll give that a try when I get home. Do I just run the shell tool and then install the ROM?
Hey Stabloid,
I downloaded Shelltool. Unfortunately there was no instructions with it.
From what I could figure out I put the two cab files on the xda/ wizard and installed them there. I rebooted the xda then tried running the shell tool.
I've tried it a few times. I let the program run for an hour last night and nothing happend it just kept saying "Do not disconnect..."
The other error I kept getting was "please make hard reset" followed by a list of instructions which I followed and yet still got the same results.
Can someone please help me out with this or supply full instructions for the shell tool?
Thanks.
I posted this in the Titan forum by mistake. Sorry for the duplication
I need some help...I'm freaking out...
I cooked a ROM with dcd's version 1.6.9 for BELL a few days ago and it was wonderful and worked great.
Today, I tried to upgrade to version 1.6.10 and I f___ed something up.
It starts the htc boot up screen as usual, then the Bell screen comes up as usual, then a Sprint screen comes up briefly and then the Windows Mobile screen comes on and HANGS........
I have tried cold reboots, and nothing. I cant connect to it with USB.
I can kick myself for making an error because I was rushing......
Can anyone please help............................

Try the hard reset.
If that doesn't work then try the bootloader mode and reflash it.
Hard reset
Hard reset did not help, it hangs on windows mobile screen.
Can u give me a bit more detail on how to get into the bootloader mode?
I figured it out. You have to but it into bootloader mode by pressing the POWER and CAMERA buttons at the same time and then reboot.
Then load ROM as usual'
Thankyou
You are the fing master. OMG mine was in the EXACT situation and i was freaking out. its currently reloading the ROM back on. Thank you soooooo much.
it probably happenned because modules overlapped, run g'reloc before building to avoid this.
After trying out a couple of Roms, amongst which was the orange Rom, I am now stuck with the silly Orange boot splash. Anybody know of a way to get back to to the original one? I suppose it should be possible, at least it is for other devices, but I've tried it and that file won't work for the S740.
Help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,

Dis you try this one, the first one is the original one.
I know this is a wide issue on many devices, but i could not find one for the Galaxy Note.
So here it is (and sorry if the answer is allready out there):
i roomed my phone, before i even knew what i was doing. I started the phone, and everything went nice. And then i tried to update the OS without using rooting, which appairently did not work. So i factory reset my Note, and it got stuck on bootscreen (the samsung logo). I have figured out (or atleast i thing) that the OS is missing, or something like that. So i downloaded it from a forum page here on XDA. The thing is i can't figure out how to put it on the phone. I tryed using ODIN. Any clue of an easy way to do this?
Thanks in advance

So, I have this Coolpad Catalyst 3622A LTE Running MetroPCS carrier With android 5.1.1 and something weird has happened. The phone happened to be rooted at the time.
I used the app called "Boot Animations" ya'know everything nornal just like all my other devices... and I was trying to change the boot animation it had with one of the ones in the app.... Then i don't know how, or exactly the cause, But now the phone doesn't load as normal.
The Android OS loads correctly and responds I can confirm it, But there is just now a Black Screen.
Recovery mode doesn't seem to be affected.
I've basically tried all I could to fix this..
Anyone know how I can fix this?
Have you tried replacing the changed bootscreen with the stock one? Also, I would suggest not using apps to change the bootscreen. Do it manually.

i can't. the phone is working, but blank. i need to get a active adb shell connection to fix this.
I'm having the same issue.....I think.
My phone still boots properly, connects to WiFi, and I can even boot to the recovery menu. The phone just boots to a blank screen and the only thing I can access is the pulldown menu. From there I've been able to confirm there are still apps on the phone and have even managed to use a couple of them. I'm actually using the phone now to write this. The rooting was successful Ive been using the phone for several weeks without an issue. At some point the phone started saying "invalid sim" in the notification bar but since I didn't have service I ignored it. Yesterday I went to MetroPCS to activate it. They told me that they reset it and ever since then I've had this problem. I'm pretty new to all this which is why I'm looking for guidance. If I had to guess it would be a problem with the app launcher and the fix is to wipe and install the stock everything. I do have access to a PC and will need instructions for a noob please. Thank you.
I have a coolpad cell that's been checked into do anyone knows how I can fix this problem I can't get in to reset my phone
