here if you give them your defective motherboard you can have a 50$ discount so theoretically you canbuy a new motherboard for 139$
Bummer, you can buy a used s2 for a little more than this.
8000 INR , but i had mine replaced for 5000 INR (without bill) from a sammy service centre
need shop location

i actually did it in cochin..visit a couple of service centres around your area n tell them you are short on cash and if there is any way to do it for a lesser amount
but BEWARE:: if you do it without a bill you get no warranty !!!

I live in jeddah, can I ship it to cochin and ask them to repair it at the same cost, no service centers here that might assist with the low cost replacement. Do you have their address and number?
I have a fried motherboard too, gave it to the service center guys here in Jeddah and they say that it will cost me more than what it would to buy a used S2
Probable cause (cause and effect, not necessarily correct from a technical perspective)
I think it could have been my car charger that might have fried it... assuming that i did see once that the battery dropped from 70% to 40% after i connected the charger and I was foolish enough to connect it when the phone was completely out of battery... yeah tell me about it. I purchased another battery too.. original with the hologram and everything but after a week or so the phone would just not boot up.
hi
if you ask me!!! your galay s2 its useless so you gona start thinking to buy an galaxy s3!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol

Can u tell me how much time is required to replace the MOTHERBOARD of Samsung Galaxy S2 ...and what's the waiting time to get the delivery of the phone ..coz i also faced the problem with my GS2 a week ago and it's been a week till now still not received the phone from service center.........and they updated my delivery status after installing a motherboard ........ a phone require overwrite...does it require a overwrite or not?.......... and if require how much time it takes.....This problem all happens only when I was updating my phone to official jellybean update and while rebooting the phone stucked on Welcome Screen the one with(SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-I9100G)........Pls.HELP !!!!...The Service Centre also took a time of 3-4 days to get the part from it's office....
You have two choices re: motherboard replacement -
1) Samsung/service centre - New motherboard, retain original IMEI in most cases/dependant on country (Most expensive option).
2) Search eBay/elsewhere online for a 2nd hand motherboard (you do see them on their own occasionally), or more likely look for a broken phone (screen broken but otherwise OK, for example) you can take the motherboard from. You can either replace this yourself if you feel confident enough, or you can pay a local mobile repair shop to swap this motherboard for the dead one on your phone (Cheapest option). With this option your IMEI will change to that of the phone the board came from, which is no big deal normally (Do not try to restore your old IMEI via an EFS backup restore, fair chance you'll bork your phone if you do).
Samsung will not sell you a new motherboard on it's own. If an authorised service centre sells you a new one without them doing the labor of replacing the old one, you're very very lucky & Samsung would probably chuck a fit if they found out.
Costs will obviously vary widely whichever option you chose, dependent on country normally.
Hey guys,
My cousin bought an xperia s for me from US with US warranty from amazon(it was 4k less dan d price in Indian Markets).
Is there any way the warranty can be made applicable in India?
Can the ownership of the device warranty be transfered to India in my name?
Or Can we buy a separate warranty for the device in India?
Please help!!!
Thanx ppl in advance
You should contact Sony in your region and find out from them. If such a thing is not possible, you should consider taking out an insurance plan for your phone from a third party, or if you have Home Insurance you should check to see if such things as Mobile Phones are covered under your policy.

Hello all,
I want to change an imei, here is a background :
- one of my teammate bought a new in box used s3, with invoice and letter from the seller
- the seller declared it stolen to the carrier to get insurance money refund
- the carrier blacklist it on all network
- phone imei became 004, that means my friend won't be able to connect on any network
My friend claimed to the police, which recognised the illegal action of the seller, but now the carrier tells the S3 is lifetime blacklisted..
As a long procedure is initiated, my friend wants a new imei to use his phone until the lawsuit ends.
I trust my friend and want to help him, I've gave him my /efs folder but it doesn't help (or maybe we don't do that right)
Any advice would be great!
After my friend recover usability of its phone, we will start MyUI development for i9300 (already thousands user on i9000).
Please help!
Regards

Firstly this is not development!
more importantly it is illegal what you are doing. I've read numerous other threads regarding other samsung galaxy products which got deleted due to being illegal.
If there's a lawsuit, why wasn't the phone taken as evidence?
Irregardless if it was purchased and your mate had a receipt the police would confiscate the item as it is now evidence in a criminal matter...
Changing IMEI is ILLEGAL.
Wrong forum anyway.

This exact same thing happened to me after I bought my first GS3 from Gumtree, brand new in box but a month later it was blacklisted
Only way you can change the IMEI is through software that costs over £100 and its illegal so I wouldnt reccomend doing that
I had to take the hit and buy another S3 but this time from Carphonewarehouse as I learned a valuable lesson never to buy a phone from an unauthorized dealer, it is not worth the risk!

Yep, better buy phone from legal store. If I would suggest don't buy second handed two, because first owner can track you by knowing your phone detail (specially the IMEI). So buy legal and official guarantee will make your sleep tight at night and not worry next morning your phone is blacklisted
But if you purchase from a store in brand new box then next morning it blacklisted. Just get axe and go to that shop
Closed, IMEI changing is illegal, and as such we don't allow the discussion of it on the site.
does anybody willing to accept a new mobile phone parts supplier, when you choose the supplier, what may be your first consideration issue? price or quality? as a new brand , 3cline want to get more suggestion from you, thank you
It has been the 4 month that i bought the s6 edge (gold color 64gb international version)
However, almost the whole phone was CHANGED!!!!! And now it still has lot of problems
First i went to the repair centre they changed the main board, then they changed my camera!!!!
The quality control of samsung is insane they almost sold me a broken phone
S6 edge is not a cheap phone and they said as i am a owner of it so now i am their premium customer,
but all i got from them is a broken phone
now my phone cant even run graphic games smoothly but a LOT CHEAPER PHONE FROM SAMSUNG CAN!!!!
problems are keep popping out from my s6 edge T.T
Please help me to make this loud make a lot of people know it :crying::crying::crying:
i really dont wanna go to the repair centre again and again ;....................;
i used that much money but bought a premium repair service instead of a premium phone
its really a fraud :crying::crying::crying::crying:
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASEEEEE HELP ME OR SAMSUNG WONT GIVE ME BACK WHAT THEY SHOULD
PLEASE HELP ME TO SHOW HOW HONEST AND GREAT THEY ARE BY SELLING ME A BROKEN PHONE :crying::crying::crying::crying:
I don't know what the law is in whatever country you live in. But here in New Zealand, if you have returned the phone to the manufacturer and had it "repaired" and it is still not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a full refund under the consumers guarantee act.
I implore you to read whatever legislation covers your interaction with manufacturers (or importers) in your country and cite these specific clauses when you contact Samsung support, that may help you to get their notice.
Stirring up a social media ****storm will not get your phone fixed/replaced/refunded. Using your rights within the laws of your country will.
merely my opinion.
