Hello everyone, hope you're having a good Xmas.
I have the same problem but it's partly of my own making. I was upgrading my O2 XDA II to the lastest ROM (obtained from O2 website) and my laptop went into sleep mode after 46% of the upgrade was complete. Now all I have is the O2 blue screen. Soft and hard resets do nothing.
I did backup all my data (which I'm not sure includes the OS) to SDIO before starting the update and don't know if I can recover from that.
I will need to send it back to have it re-flashed if I can't find a solution but any advice you guys can give would be most welcome. At the moment my PC can't see the usb connected XDA and there's no activity on the XDA screen.

I have an T-Mobile Ameo (also known Athena X7500) and i tried the Olipro Unlocker, but the installation didnt finish, at 59% stopped. After that i turn off the device, then turn on, but my device still have a 4 colour screen,red, green, blue and white, it doesnt boot the Windows Mobile, just have the installation screen...
please help
Use olipro's tool again and then flash your final ROM
i tried it many times, but since than my Athena X7500 was dead, the Olipros unlocker doesnt work. The program said: "The Update Utility cannot connect your PDA phone"
In bootloader (coloured screen), does it say anything? if so what? when you try to flash a rom or use unlocker do you get a code? is your memory card out of the slot?

Have you tried flashing your carrier's original Rom?
i will try it, but i dont know where can i find my original rom...
and my second biggest trouble: in this mode, i cant charge my batteries. If i dont find an solution this problem soon, i think, my device will be a BIG trouble. Grrr, i hate olipros program...

leave out the sim and sd card.
Some others have reported better luck with the shipped WM6 rom if they had trouble unlocking.

the net framework should be on your computer.
what OS is on your computer ?
May be better if you use winXP
did you install an oficial wm6 rom ?

My computer also have the NET Framework 2.0 SP2. And when the flashing didn't work, i also installed the NET Framework 3.5 SP1, but, when i flashing a ROM in my decive, it also went to 100%, but the SPL is still 1.1.
I use a 32-bit Windows XP in my computer.
My T-Mobile Ameo (Athena) is a second hand device, it was used when i bought. But the first user said me, that the original OS was the Windows Mobile 5 in my Athena, but he update from Windows Mobile 5 to Windows Mobile 6.0. He said that he update with an official T-Mobile way.

hello myfrnd please help me as my phone is dead after i used ur rom upgrade 3.5, i was already using michy cooked version of window mobile 6.1 im new in this field and during upgrade process after going 92% it just stuck and and showing 3 color screen it has a msg of IPL 1.2 OLIPRO pls help me i will donate u if u could solve my problem

I saw someone with the same problem as you here awhile back and he was able to fix it. So keep your post alive or read the sticky post under the Upgrade section. I believe that was where I read it.

Hey Im also a sufferer of a dead X7500......this all happened wen I was trying to flash my ROM which was using a SPL !.20 OLIPRO
wen I try to re flash the device , it starts a stops at 1% and follows an error msg !

My mobile at&t 8525 alias HTC 8525 is stuck in windows operator logo.It would not boot further. It happened while I tried to upgrade it from Windows 5.0 to Windows 6.0.First I got a tri-colour screen,but in a hurry I tried to backgrade to windows 5.0 again.
Other problem the mobile cannot be synced. I have installed Microsoft Active sync 4.5. Even then it could not be synced.
I tried to read all the posts ,but could not understand anything.
So please help me in getting my mobile repaired
Don't worie.
I had somewhat the same issue with a bad ROM flash.
Just disconnect the USB and boot to the bootloader screen (the tricolour screen) and you should be able to reflash the phone again.
Problem in syncing the mobile
I am not able to sync the mobile to the laptop.I have installed Microsoft Active sync 4.5. Even then it is not syncing.So how could I run the hermes upgrade if the mobile is not helping.

In Activesync on PC - Untick "Allow USB Connections".
Put the Hermes into bootloader (tri-colour screen) and connect by usb. Run the RUU_Wrapper.exe file you want. Follow onscreen instructions.
You need to have installed Hard SPL V7 for this to work...

you dont need an active sync connection to flash it. Enter bootloader(tri colour screen) as you were told in the previous posts and Just click on the boxes that you do have a connection(even though you dont) and then flash the rom.
@ultramag69 i hve never had to untick allow usb connections and i have cocked up loads of rom flashes, saying that i have never had a problem flashing in vista either so maybe i am lucky
If you still cant flash doing it this way, then maybe you should try flashing from sd card instead, just make sure the battery is fully charged. Full instructions of how to do this are found in the hermes wiki, which i advise you to read anyway.
Oh and good luck anyway, you should be able to recover the phone from this ,so i wouldnt fret too much

Do you try to flash first the Stripped?
Does your batt has charge enough to boot?

there are many official roms.
I also am currently using an 8525 (Herm100). It was received from an Ebay deal with WM5. I flashed it with the ATT OEM WM6pro (aka shipped wm6). Once it hit the three color boot screen, it sat on that for a couple of minutes then started cooking. Once it showed a progress bar, it took about 3 minutes to cook the WM6 over the WM5. It also showed a popup that stated going back to WM5 was not an option.
I would suggest running the installer again and going down to 7-11 for a refreshment. You may not have let it percolate long enough to set itself up for the actual ROM overwriting.

Hello everyone,i have changed my rom several times,everything was ok but as i run task29,and then when i lunched Miri & Dinik WM6.5.x 23569 v.17.4(2),my HD2 doesn't load and the blank screen that has the htc logo doesn't disappear.i have done every thing that it was said in this site(sd flash and so on,putting leoimg.nbh in the sd card and so on...) but it didn't work!!!
I wonder what should i do now?is it a hardware problem?

can you manually get into bootloader?
yes,with soft reset and holding the vol down button.
and what does it say next to spl in bootloader?
sorry,it seems that the information that i gave,wasn't so complete to be answered,
it is SPL-1.42.000.
ok, so any spl that ends .0000 is stock so you dont have hspl installed, and so cannot flash custom roms or radios.
This no doubt happened when you tried to flash a stock rom from sd card, because even if the sd flash fails, it will have reset the spl. (Example, say you have an o2 locked phone, you try to flash a tmobile stock rom, from sd card, the first thing it does is remove hspl, and THEN it does the cid check, , finds that its a tmobile rom and an o2 phone so the flash fails, making you think it just failed, nothing more, but in reality it has already flashed the spl removing hspl)
Get hspl2
run it, choose the hspl version you want (1.42.hspl, 1.66.hspl, 2.08.hspl, it doesnt really matter)
pick any rom you want to flash and flash it from usb.
Let us know how you get on.

i tried many ways to fix it,but the rom update failed all the time.i tried to flash hd2 through micro sd,so i formatted my memory card and then i rename "ruu_signed.nbh" to "LEOIMG.nbh", and i reset hd2 while holding vol down button.then the loading screen appeared, i thought that i solved the prob but i was wrong and the loading screen was still there,i even waited for a hour!!!but nothing changed.the last option was to state my prob here,and i did,and i received a reply from you sam,i dont know how can i thank u,only i can say many thanks and you did me a very big favor!

Hi all. Just wanted to let everyone know: NEVER GIVE UP. I task2a my htc leo twice (different times) and "BRICKED" it in that I could not flash any rom back to it. It has HSPL3 and trying everything including removing HSPL and going back to SSPL (HSPL 2.08.0000) I got nowhere. NO ship/stock or custom roms would flash at all by USB and when done by LEOIMG.NBH I'd get RADIO_V2 RSA FAIL etc. I tried using the various RUU executable: Romupdateutility.exe, CustomRUU.exe, ruu.exe (dexter series), and still had problems. I never lost HSPL or bootloader however... In the end I solved it like this:
1) CRITICAL YOU HAVE A FULL BATTERY FIRST AND FOREMOST ELSE IT DOESNT WORK OR UPDATE AT ALL. USE EXTERNAL CHARGER/OTER PHONE.
2) I connected by MTTY and re-did Task 2a, and a Task 28, Task 28 55 aa, and then a task 29.
3) I kept trying various different LEOIMG.NBH files including RADIOs, Custom roms with only OS.NB inside, etc etc etc.
4) In the END:
You will have to use your LEOIMG.NBH on <4gb SD CARD from the STOCK default rom the phone came with....
But: It will probably not (for some reason) work first TEN or so times !!! (weird?)
I kept trying doing ruu.exe in between each SD card attempt and also kept removing/swapping HSPL/2.08.0000 and going in and out of MTTY doing 2a, 28, and 29 OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Ultimately I know this is confusing (my explanation) but I am simpy saying my leo was gone and I did not give up so DO NOT GIVE UP. I sat there 12 hours+ doing this over and over and GOT IT BACK TWICE NOW (yes - I did 2a task twice for certain reasons)... USEFUL ROMS/APPS:
Task29.exe (containg single checksum-ok but BLANK - ruu_signed.nbh)
Telstra Stock ROM
Telstra (HTC website) signed update ROM.
Latest LEO radio
Dexter-with CHT2 and companion ruu.exe (used with dexter and other .nbh)
Xanny-Tech-Evolution via SD Card.
HSPL3_PKG.EXE
magldr 1.11 (by RUU and SD).
In the end YOU WILL FIX IT OK. I'm pretty tired now so I will go over this and clean it up later but KEEP PERSISTING AND HAVE FAITH: if you have HSPL and MTTY and SD you can and you will fix it.

OK, after stock telstra LEOIMG.NBH ok... wanted magldr back... did hspl3... fine... then did Task29.EXE(for radio rom 2.08 576 ram ok) by the EXE/RUU: DO NOT DO THIS... it fails and you have to start again:
after task29.exe (radio 2.08 not-MTTY) with FAILURE - I put the ruu_signd.nbh for this onto SD card and flash - fine. Then did MAGLDR.NBH the same (LEOIMG.NBH) and all OK. Then clockwork and update.zip for PPC-Windows7-Android.

I got out of bricked situation by extracting only the SPL file from the stock rom using OS builder.Renamed it leoimg.nbh and flashed it using SD card 2 GB /sandisk/.It appeared stuck on the "loading" screen and I had to remove the battery not sure if I'd succeeded.The first sign that something might have gone right was the green light showing fully charged battery,cause despite "common sense" I put the battery back in and put the phone to charge.After taht I used the RUU_signed file from the same stock rom I took the SPL from.
