HELP!! O2 XDA Stealth factory ROM needed desperately!! - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom Software Upgrading

Hi Guys,
I am in a big fix. I bought the XDA Stealth a few months back and a couple of days back performed a ROM upgrade provided by the 02 website ( Xda Stealth ROM Upgrade (ENG) WWE_RM2_061208 ). The problem is that, I like an idiot took a backup on Pocket Ghost (default program provided by phone) before upgrade. And now after ROM upgrade i am not able to restore the phone so now i need to revert back to old ROM. I tried calling O2 helpdesk but i dint get any help there. All my contacts and important messages are in that backup file. Is there anyone who has a copy of the Factory ROM? (WWE_RM060921 i think or WWE_RC061128).
Pleasssssssssse helpp meeee..

Restoring Backup Data to new ROM Version

Greetings,
I'm currently in the process of having my I-Mate rom upgraded from version 1.66 to version 1.72 (I think) prior to upgrade I made a complete backup of everything that was on my device. The I-Mate representative told me however that it would not be advisable to restore my backup data after the upgrade. He did say that restoring appointments and contacts wouldnt be a problem.
Question for you all, CAN I RESTORE ALL BACK UP DATA AFTER ROM UPGRADE?? and if i do will it screw up my machine?
Cheers!
Best way it to use Activesync for that. After upgrade your device will see seen as 'new' by activesync.
You cold havre enable Permanent Save. But big chance that does not work when up / downgrading
Be carefull, i did it yesterday and i-mate hangs up. the messaje is "there is not enought memory" but there is no program running. I tried to install others rom but it not possible because the languaage. Im dessespetate.
Vodafone gave me the rom file. Is incredible. :!:

upgrading the xda2 to wm5 questions

Hi, my brother is getting his xda 2 back and has asked me to install wm5 in it.
My questions are:
1. Do i need to simunlock his phone first, his phone is locked to smart philippines?
2. Is there anyway to backup his original rom, so i can flash it back in case he wants to downgrade back?
3. does upgrading your phone to wm5, simlock the phone again?
4 .Is it true that wm5 has problems regarding pocketie, camera button and loss of camera resolution?
Thanks in advance
1/3 roms and simlocks are never connected what so ever
changing rom will not sim lock or unlock (unless a tool to do so is autoloaded)
2 not sure what ppl mean if you have rom 1.72 and install 2005 and then install a 1.72 again you are back to your own rom not sure why one would want to backup the rom one had rather then just installing the same version again...
but if you mean your data then you can just use xbackup or spirite backup or activesync backup and restore that backup when you revert back to the rom version you had first.
4 if you read it in the 2005 forum and ppl dont have a fix you can find using search function then i guess so.
2. I wanted to restore the original rom, as in the rom itself. Just to be on the safe side.
the rom on your device is == 100% the same as the same rom version from the same operator's install files for that rom
so if you have 1.72 from tmobile and install 2005 and then get tmobiles install files for 1.72 and install that you have 100% the same device
with digital things everything is 0's and 1's
so there cant! be any difference between the rom from tmobile 1.72 you have and if you install 1.72 rom from tmobile
there is no hardcoded stuff which makes the rom of your device uniqe compared to every other device with the same rom
everything you need to know

how do I downgrade my XDA2??

I flashed the ROM with Windows Mobile 5.0 ROM Version 2.06 and now I want to put back to its factory state, so I dowloaded the original ROM on myxda.com however, I get an error something like model error.
I think the original rom is only something like Version 1.66.
Is there anything I need to modify so I can put back the original Factory ROM?

Recovering nandroid back up to different phone??

Hi,
Hope this is posted in the right section, but if not I'm sure a friendly mod can move it :good:
I did a search on the subject, but couldn't find any definitive answers to my particular problem, so here goes..
My trusty S2, (from O2 UK) hard bricked itself a few weeks ago whilst in normal usage (wasn't flashing or rooting at the time)
I sent it back to O2 who promptly identified that it needed a replacement board.
I now have my phone back :victory: and I was hoping to restore it to its former glory, but I am having issues with the CWM restoring.
My old phone was running a dual boot Siyah Kernel (5.0 - I think), with Paranoid Android 2.50 on the 1st ROM and my stock O2 Samsung (4.0.3 - I think) as the 2nd ROM - I backed these up and restored them several times using CWM with the most recent back ups being around 3 weeks before the board died.
Now I have my phone back, I am unable to restore the back ups, getting first the MD5 error, which I bypassed only to be confronted with 'could not restore /system' errors..
Will it be possible to restore these back ups or should I write them off and chalk it up to experience?
what firmware was on the phone when you got it back. It maybe a kernal issue.
