ok, don't lose it just yet.
first thing to try is the "vulcan death grip" on the pda; simultaneously press the power button, soft-reset button, and middle button on the scroller on the front of the PDA to enter bootloader mode, if you do it right, then the version number will appear at the bottom of the screen (i.e v1.06) and you will thus be in bootloader mode.
failing that, remove the battery from the PDA, and leave it like that for about an hour so the backup battery can die, then put the battery back in and pray it enters bootloader mode.
Hi dear freinds I upgrade my phone edition ppc to wm5 successfully after finishing and hard reseting my device this message raise(("Device authentication")) so I can't do anything with my ppc and I try using camera button and power for gettin into bootloader but it does't work can somebody help me How can I get into bootloader mode for upgrading again thanks
Push and hold the DPad(the button between the RED and GREEN buttons) and the power button and put the stick(stylus) in the hole(there is one near the chharge/USB plug) to resset your device.
Dont release the power and DPad buttons until in the screen you read SERIAL.
Uala you're in bootloader mode
Put the device in the cradle and it should change tio USB
Do the upgrade/downgrade ............. as you want

i tried to install wm6 on my hermes via sd card when i pushed the power button
the device won't turn on i tried charging it but it won't charge

MY HP6815 IS DIED.
I was flashing with the good wm5 rom of NHOCBANME when the phone fell to the ground and has detached the battery!!!
My hp 6815 is off and doesn't turn on.
I tried to flash by ordinary mode but the phone is always off.
Only battery led is on if the phone is charging.
I think it is permanently damaged.
Can someone help me?
Test:
1 - Remove the batery...wait some secounds
2 - Put the batery back on it
3 - Press POWER
4 - Press RESET with stylus and press the 2 softkeys (the keys that are on top of the red and green buttons)
5 - The phone will enter flash mode
6 - Use software to re-flash or use SD card to do it(SD card option: card must be inside when you do this!)
The same thing happened to me... but i lifted the cell and there was no cover in the battery...

I have a same problem after flashing. No life in my 6815.
The LED used to blink orange when charging or usb connected but now it flashes orange-green. Does anyone know how i need to fix my boot with jtag or other fix?

" How to recover from semi-brick state:
1. Prepare a sd card with proper diskimg.nb0.
2. Pull out the batter for a few minutes.
3. Press and hold two "-" button and at the same time, put the battery in.
4. Wait a few second and release the button, then after a while, the device will be in bootloader mode. "

Hello, I'm new to this forum I have problem with 6815, it's completly dead after trying to put wm 6.5 on it. I have tried to pull out battery, to put it back, to press "-" keys, to reset... but no succes. It's dead. Battery is fully charged. It's showing charging status when I conect it to the charger or USB PC port. Anyone, please help, doing it for a 2 days, my head and stomach are ruin...

I have upgrade the atom with the atom rom WM6.5 21500. The rom was successfully upgraded but i don't like it. And when i tried to downgrade it to WM6.1, it didn't work. I have tried to enter bootloader but i can't, when the atom restart, they will not boot and restarting again and again. .
Please help in this matter..

1. If your atom can goes into windows u can downgrade to 6.1 or 6.5 from my signature by using RUU from PDA viet.
2. If your atom can't goes into windows as well as boot loader, First you have to take out the battery for one or two minutes then put it back then try to enter boot loader again, if still not try the Second step by taking out the battery again then press and hold Reset + Camera button for one or two minutes then put battery back (keep pressing that button till u can see boot loader).

ur device is bricked, if and only if, ur device won't start normally... even if u press soft-reset, hard-reset, or even bootloader mode buttons. Before panicking, do da following:
Brick Test:
1. Make sure ur device has ample battery charge. If u're not sure plug it in with da wall charger for at least 10min
2. Remove ur battery for at least 1 minute
3. Replace ur battery while observing da LED lights
4. If da LED blinks once upon battery insertion, u might have hope yet
Da only way to upgrade on a semi-brick device, is to upgrade through bootloader mode. No bootloader mode, No upgrade possible - period.
Entering Bootloader Mode on Semi-Brick Atom:
1. Remove battery for for at least 1 minute
2. Press CAMERA+RESET(stylus) simultaneously
3. Insert battery while still holding da buttons
4. Release da buttons at da same time(u should see bootloader screen)
Note: Failure to hold the buttons at da same time during battery insertion will cause it not to work.
