Hi
Please excuse me being a newbie with a slightly odd question
Someone recently gave me an old HTC Himalaya to play with (O2 XDA II). The 'phone had been dropped and wouldn't charge up. Taking the battery out and charging it separately I was able to get the 'phone working fine.
I dismantled it to find that the 22-pin connector for power and data had completely detached itself and it fell out of the case. The pins were badly bent so I soldered power lines directly to the main board and it charges fine.
Now... what I really want to use this 'phone for is the heart of a vehicle diagnostics system (written in Pocket Zeus) so I need a working RS232 connection. I used Bluetooth to transfer a couple of test programs to the 'phone and they are showing that Com 1 won't open, but Com 2 and 3 will.
Can anyone tell me which ports the RS232 connections on the Himalaya match up to? In particular the port on the 22-pin connector. I can hardwire a 9-PIN D serial plug to this connection if I can get the port open.
Many thanks in advance and all help greatly received.

Hey guys I have burned my mUSB port by connecting some chinese charger. I have read the forums but found nothing that could help me.
Symptoms: no reaction from pc and phone when I plug in the cable, charging is too slow.
How to fix:
1. Take a multimeter and check whether there is a short circuit between all contacts in USB cable.
2. If there is a short circuit beetwen data+/- and ground you have to remove the folowing IC
this IC is burned when +5V are connected to data+/- contact and give the symptoms not connected to PC.
This solution only worked for me, do at your own risk!
UP! This is usefull
Isn`t it IC PM7250?
Remember time, when I was forced to resolder it
Its fsusb30

Hi All,
So I've spend the best part of the weekend trying to find a wiring diagram for the cable for the TF101.. one of my delightful kids pulled on the wire to disconnect it from the adapter, and left the actual usb plug behind - so I now have a cable with 6 wires exposed, and a seperate (and mangled) usb plug.
I've ordered a new cable - but urgently need to charge my TF101 today... does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram so I can connect the wires direct to a 12v adapter - or know which of the wires in the cable are + and - ?
many thanks in advance
Nick
Hi, is there any way to diagnose and fix USB connector problem?
It stops recognizing external connected devises and when charging you need to find a certain position of the charging cable connector to start charging.
Not a cable or charger issue, also cleaned it up with air and using youtube recommendations for cleaning USB type C.
Sometimes the dust are gathering in the connector. The compressed air could be not enough. Try to use not iron needle if you see something inside.
Hello guys, I want to short test points in LG D320N, I know where are the test points are (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lg-d320-l70-testpoint-location.3422105/), but I have no idea how to do it. Should I just took copper cable and short them? And should I do it with battery plugged or I should take out battery and plug in USB cable? Can someone tell me what should I do?
Thx.
