I wonder why the atom life rom should not work into atom, the hardware seems almost the same..
I dunno. I've compared both the A-Life and Atom together. Despite having the Atom name, the A-Life is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT UNIT. Heck, it doesn't even have the same size. This is a different kettle of fish, unlike the one we had with Atom Exec vs Vanilla Atom.
(You could argue that the size could come from the 3G extension board they tacked onto the Atom board, but I highly doubt that is the case.)
I wonder that too. But I don't want to brick my Atom with Atom Life WM6 ROM. I think I could try that, but I don't know how to set the Atom to tri-color screen or hardrest it.
I've checked the Atom ROM life, it has a totally different ROM structure with ATOM. So, you can not just used directly. We have to port it to our device.

Hi, pardon my ignorance, but im new in the scene. May i know if Atom ROMs are compatible with Atom exec? If not, can anyone link me to the latest rom for Atom exec. I have searched the forum, but apparently the most of the links to the latest rom are dead. I would greatly appreciate if someone can upload the the rom (preferably not on rapidshare) or link me to it. Next thing is how do I check my current rom in my Atom exec? Tks in advance for those kind replies.
To check latest rom version goto start/settings/system info and the latest official release is Xda-Atom-Exec-ENG-20060721-MOT0822, atm this is the latest.

till now I wasted 3 weeks of searching and investigating but it seems there is no direct way to do this till now , So, I decide to ask the experts here for a help .
Kindly if anyone here has an idea how to upgrade O2 XDA Exec to WM6.5, please provide me with appropriate way.
And please for those who has similar problem let’s share the ideas here.

yeah, cook new rom hehehe. you didn't actually waste 3 weeks of searching, it's just that there are no avail wm6.5 yet for the atom. it's good to know that some people are actually doing their homework before braging to xda-dev.
perhaps you can help the atom users if you can port the wm6.5 to atom
