Anyone else here experience a faster drain on the battery after going to WM6?
I noticed this the other day and quickly figured out that part of the problem is that I ticked the GPS option under Weather Panel. Once I turned that off I get longer life on the battery BUT, it's still not as good as when I was running WM5.
Anyone else notice this?

Interestingly, I got home yesterday after work and noticed that I still got 60% leftover. I did find out though that if I left the wifi on it drained a lot faster.

when ever someone does and upgrade there is a bttery problem let the battery drain to 20% and then recharge it then the problem will be solved thats in almost in evry WM6 ROM and not only Athena\Ameo but also other phones. so its not something to be worred about it will solve itself automatically after a complete drainage and then recharge process.

I had noticed this, then I also noticed the unit was not powering off as instructed after the given time. A soft reset sorted that out. Battery life now seems back to normal.
hi i have been using my atom for almost 2 years now, i have an option to change it over for aTOM EXEC How is the battery life compared to the old atom, is it better or worse? shud i stay with the oldie any comments
??
None has any Ideas??
Well, battery life almost same but Exec is much faster and responsive with couple of extra software+IR KB with it. Have used both and for me Atom Exec is better as its body is also good and dont get finger smudges. Presently am using it.
My Xda Atom originally comes with an 1530mah( XP-02) battery and its performance is terribly short. I have seen some advertising for the high capacity batteries up to 3500mah. So are those batteries fraud or have anyone try them before and give me advice.
Thanks for reading anyway
Battery Preformance
i have tried the orginal battery which comes with ATOM LIFE XP-09 and its better than XP-02 but both are sucks.. i have tried many other brands and most are sucks too.. good news that am testing new battery XP-02 2100Mah and its double size the orginal battery size and until now everything works fine but still testing.. good thing its last for 2 days until now and still have 50% still testing,,bad thing ur slim nice atom will be little fater!!
enjoy my new battery pics
might cause problems due to excessive heat
i've read from one of the post that extended battery create much heat and leaves our dear love atoms into unstable state, possible permanent damage. let us know how it turns out...?
it's definitely good bye, to my metal casing/protector, if this extended battery is any good...
so did anything happen here? how did it turn out? is the battery really good? please help on this as I am also trying to get an extended battery any feedback will be appreciated

hey, i have facing same problem, but after some time i try something different, i have 1530mAh battery and its backup is so short then after buy a new battery from hong kong via internet with 2200mAh and its amazing backup and no problem to use in o2 atom.
1st time
Atom Lovers, may i ask how long or how short does your ATOM long last?
i just have mine last week as a gift from my brother (he used it 1st).
i upgraded the rom and satisfies me.. but its the battery that annoys me..
i have this XP-02 also, and i can only use it about 2hours(full charge)?
Someone could say what it has to do with upgrading?
Well, it has because I need battdrvr.dll from Atom Exec or Atom rom.
My story is like this: I bought a battery for XDA Atom Life -
Model No.: CS-XP02L, Part: AHL03715206 603FS20152, XP-02, and my device (actually it's driver) can't recognise the battery and in batt status it shows "battery status unknown".
I tried several things, but it seems that even though this batt fits my device perfectly, have the same params as my old XP-09, it's from other Atom.
I suspect it is from Atom Exec and therefore I'm searching for it's battdrvr.dll file to change it with my current.
If someone could post here a batt driver, I'd be very grateful.
I have a 2400mAh batery on my Atom Life and I'm pleased with it. 4 days in stand by, I think theat's enough. I bought it from e-bay . The original 1 it's sucks. 1 day I think.
Howdy! A few weeks ago I noticed on my phone that the battery did not last as long as before. I said it would be from the software and I decided to reinstall it. First, I switched to a custom ROM (Pixel Experience) and there the battery life was even worse. Then I went back to stock ROM and it seemed to work better, but the battery was still discharging too fast.
I put an application for measuring battery life (AccuBattery) that told me that my battery (one year old) was at 79% life (3100 mAh). I replaced the battery with a new one. Surprise! And with the new battery still at 79% life it says it is. And the same 3100 mAh maximum capacity. I tried all kinds of methods, all kinds of custom ROMs and it all works the same. What could it be? Has anyone had a similar problem?
Thanks!
Nope. No issues with mine. You said you changed the battery, so you opened the device? I'm not inclined with HW too much, but since you've tried the most drastic solution software wise (flashing custom and MIUI ROM) then it could be a hardware issue by this point.
Again, not a hardware guy, but maybe there is a loose wiring or connection (to the battery) or maybe a short-circuit. If you need further help maybe ask help from a repair guy. But that's just my take (possible hardware issue)
