If I follow this very COOL SD card Flash ROM trick, does that mean I can do this for any ROM without the need to SSPL, HARDSPL? And Also Radio Flashing?
Just my noob experiences on it:
1.) you do not need to SSPL and HARDSPL again any more to flash new ROMS, but you have to do it atleast once, the first time around.
2.) When you flash a new RADIO ROM from the files here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369502 Make sure to delete or rename the nikeimg.nbh on the SD card or else when the RADIO flash aps starts to flash, it will then revert to your image and reflash your phone with that ROM in your SD card instead. If you want to keep that ROM there, then remove the SD card when you flash a new RADIO.

This are just my experiences, it may not work for all. I am not responsible for whatever damages this may cause your device.

Thanks though Twolf for making my life more easier!

Would it be possible to place the nbh for Olipro 2.40, a radio of choice, and a cooked rom image onto an SD card in order to make for an easy way to recover data in the event of a handset swap?
You could put the rom and radio on the sd card, but not the bootloader. There are several steps you must follow and you MUST have an activesync connection when installing a new bootloader.
has anyone attempted to make a method that might allow the bootloader to be done via the SD card? it could be very useful...
I suppose that it is possible to have a util that's native and specific to a certain PPC to unlock/lock/change the bootloader, but as currently needing Activesynch that would require a functioning OS on the PPC to boot into.
Rather than coding the changes for that it's easier to just have a PC around to do the job.
Unfortunately, i've a brocked usb at my HTC Nike - it was burned by incompatible charger. So, is it possible to flash from SD card like another HTC phones?
Yes it is possible, though I've not been able to get it to work myself.
Process is...
1. Format SD Card to FAT32
2. Rename your rom to NIKEIMG.NBH and copy to sd card
3. boot phone in bootloader more and it should flash. (i used enterbootloader.exe, but you can also use power+camera+reset apparantly)
I think because I've upgraded my HardSPL it doesn't work for me, as I sit in bootloader screen (white with word "loading...") for ages.
Anyway, here's a link where I found the info.
Hope it works for someone else.
Yes, it works! Thank you!
okay I followed these instructions and now my phone will not go past the white verizon startup screen.

1. With a card reader on your PC, format a non-SDHC (<=2GB) microSD card into FAT32 (tested to work up to a 4KB cluster size)
(the default size for a 1 GB would not work, also if it takes only a few seconds to format
try formating with some other slot/device. A 1 GB took over a minute to format correctly)
To format your Card - Open a DOS box and type/copy and paste this: ( format ?: /FS:FAT32 /A:1024 )
Replace the ? with whatever your SD cards drive letter is... ie: f, h, I.... Mine is G....
2. Copy the ROM to flash (xxxxxxxx.nbh) to the root of the microSD
3. Rename the ROM xxxxxxx.nbh to TITAIMG.nbh
4. Insert your card.
5. Force into the boot loader with POWER-CAMERA-RESET
6. Follow the instructions and you'll quickly flash your Titan...
7. You may have to soft reset once it says the update is complete
(If you are using UC let the customizations run so it will read the SDConfig.txt file)
This will work to flash with an official ROM and radio, I think regardless of the boot loader you have installed. But ensure that you have the correct boot loader (olipro 2.40 for this GPS ROMs) installed for when you do eventually finish with your flashing and are ready to boot into the OS.

Which rom and radio where on the phone prior to flashing and what are trying to flash now? Sound like you have a rom radio mismatch.
If you are flashing one or the other from a pre GPS setup it will do as you describe. Once the phone boots put it in bootloader and flash the correct rom or radio to match what you just flashed.
I'm just taking at a guess as you have provided little to go on.
If thats all he did ,then he didnt read the WHOLE wiki..... Start over from the beginning of the wiki... Did you install the correct bootloader? Did you install the correct radio?

Extract the task 29.exe file. Find the file named "RUU_signed.nbh"
Rename it with "leoimg.nbh". Copy it to the root of SD card.
Turn off the phone. Go into bootloader (press vol down + power on buttons).
Make sure you have HSPL installed before doing it.
And keep in mind it will erase MAGLDR + ROM. You cannot reflash MAGLDR via SD Card.
Good luck
well this is what I know about Task 29. It has to have a .nbh file to flash, but Task 29 runs after the .nbh has been flashed. So I am not really sure if this is possible or not as this means the actual task 29.exe is seperate from the .nbh meaning it is not contained in the .nbh file.

I am stupid here and seeking knowledge. I thought that would just flash the radio, to actually perform the Task 29 or initiate the Task 29.exe file you would have to be using a RUU.
I mean a official ROM runs a Task 28 before flashing a ROM package when flashing via RUU. But I thought you had to have the RUU to initiate the Task 28.exe file. Like I said in my other post the Task 29.exe and Task 28.exe files are not contained in the .nbh files and that is what you are flashing when flashing via SD card. the other files that are in a rom zip file are all used by the RUU.
So I need to get my self a stock rom and grab the task.exe, I don't wanna go back to stock, I wanna re-flash this custom rom, so i can re-name it to LEOIMG.nbh whack both files on a blank formatted FAT32 sd card.
Whats the chances of this not working, will it go wrong or would it just flash the rom anyhow, like I said I have no usb at all, so i can only use my sd cards.
oh yeah I already lost magdlr as far as i no by going back to winmo, im not bothered about that if i want android again i can boot from sd
There's a 100% chance that it wont task29.
as outlined above, the nbh file is only there because ruu wont run without one, which is why you can use boot image nbh, radio nbh or even a blank nbh with task29.exe. The task29 ruu is a standard ruu hex edited to perform the task29, so flashing the nbh from SD will do just that... flash the nbh.
Putting the. Exe onto SD wont help since it isn't a winmo exe.
Thanks Sam I kinda thought that after I read through these post's again, I have changed to NRG rom and all seems fine now anyway, but like I said in the first post was worth a shot to see if it could be done,
