Sprint Mogul on Verizon - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

I need a little help with this phone. I have a AT&T Tilt that I've unlocked and flashed at least a dozen ROMs and it's no trouble at all to use it on my T-Mobile account. My co-worker here has a Sprint Mogul that he wants to use on his Verizon account and I'm having trouble doing it.
I have installed Hard-SPL 2.40-olipro, Radio 3.42.50, and DCD 3.2.6. I also have a guy Verizon that will enter my ESN in their system. My question is How do I get to the provisioning menu and what are the Verizon settings?

I think it best to relock the phone by the following instructions. This should install a Verizon PRI and PRL. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=21161
After you have the stock rom on and working flash the custom rom and the dcd carrier cab. Then add the esn or even add the esn while using the stock rom. Also update using *228.

After relocking the Sprint Mogul it woun't allow a Verizon ROM to be flashed.

Did you follow the instructions in my link I provided?

Ok I have SPL 1.20 loaded the verizon rom but I have no radio. I need 1.30.60. Looking for it now

The link I provided has the rom and radio included together. No searching needed.

splash screen says no radio.

reflash then because it is included.

Problems after flashing new sprint 3.35 rom on alltel 6800

I have a HTC 6800 on the alltel network. I flashed the new sprint rom 3.35 and did not stop at the calibration screen ( I know). Now I can not get a data connection or get off the sprint network. I have looked through ppcgeeks forums and here with little results. I did see something about reprovisioning the phone, how does one go about doing this, manually or by sucking it up and contacting alltel? Thanks
I tried to flash a stock wm 6.0 alltel rom (2.14) over the sprint rom but would get an error when the RUU would start.
Assuming you have Olipro 2.40 installed you need to flash dcd's 3.01 rom for Alltel
I do have Olipro 2.40 installed. I installed no2chem's 2.0 rom after i installed the sprint rom and I still have the sprint settings. Will dcd's 3.01 rom (alltel) reset my settings bac kto alltel? thanks
I personally have an Alltel and never had this issue on it but my buddy who is on Verizon did have this very issue where he let the Sprint Customizations run. I think you're missing the step to relock your device before flashing the stock rom. Flashing DCD's rom will not reset the Sprint settings without first going back to stock.... Here's more info on going back to stock:

I have googled the alltel stock rom and can not find it. HTC has a link that is down. I have contacted them through email and am waiting to hear back from them. Any other suggestions on where I can find the alltel stock rom?

Need either the Qwest 1.39 radio or assistance with Data and IOTA issues

Hello all, i have Qwest service
i recently attempted a Rom upgrade to dcd 3.0.1.
I unlocked with olipro 2.40
then i ran the sprint 3.35 rom upgrade
and lastly tried to load dcd's Rom
all went fine (thanks to the tireless efforts of xda and ppc geeks contributors) until i tried to load dcd's rom.
my download of dcd 3.0.1 was corrupt ( i have since figured out that if you improperly input the download letters, your download will be corrupted without letting you know- always verify the file size when complete)
Because of this i ended up letting the sprint customizations run.
I have since made the change from the sprint rom 3.25 to dcd's rom but apparently, the sprint customizations, that i let run have hosed my data ability.
searching leads me to believe the best/easiest way to fix my data problem- (no data at all) is to relock my phone and load the original radio and rom
thanks to Bunvilla at PPCGeeks, i have the rom (2.13) but no one seems to have the radio (1.39)
any assistance would be appreciated- all of us Qwest subscribers (which piggy backs on Sprints network) are having a very difficult time finding any help for our phones
Does anyone have a copy of the radio or know where to find one?
Does anyone know how to make a copy of the radio and/or rom from a non-upgraded phone?
Does anyone have any other ideas how to get my data working again?
I have searched and read nearly every post on both xda and ppc site, so thanks in advance to anyone who can assist me/us

so you know this is an issue it seems with all new roms with the new sprint radio. i don't have any Data connection on mine as of this point and even after re locking and unlocking again (5 times) i still don't have data. i game from 2.40 oli , Nexvison 2.3.1.02. VZW and 3.27 Radio. i get authentication problems when trying to access the National Data Network. "user name and password incorrect.
you do need to go back to a stock rom and compatible radio to get your data working before attempting the upgrade again.
however, this doesnt have to be radio 1.39.
either relock or change to olipro-1.20, flash your original stock rom, and flash radio 2.17. then you should be able to get your data working, although it may take a call to qwest.
i saw iota mentioned in the topic but not the post... qwest does not include IOTA in their ROM. sprint IOTA will only work for sprint.
Thanks for the reply DCD- and thanks again for all your hard work.
You mentioned to downgrade to my original ROM and load the compatible RADIO from 2.17.
-Does this mean the complete sprint RADIO and ROM 2.17 or just the RADIO portion?
- if it's just the radio portion, where would i find that ( i have searched endlessly, hence the delay in posting a reply) ?
-if it is the complete radio and ROM, am i supposed to flash my oem ROM 1st or flash it after the 2.17 radio and ROM (like we do to upgrade thru 3.35 to DCD 3.0.1) ?
- good to know qwest doesn't use IOTA, although i am curious what IOTA actually is
Obviously, anyone's help here is appreciated
well i might be able to come to your rescue again. I believe if u can load a ROM that lets u have access to the extrom, (read and write to it) i have the original content that came in the extrom for qwest. the sprint upgrade rewrites over the qwest stuff and puts in the sprint stuff. i know i have the contents of the extrom for qwest but im gonna look here in my computer because i just might have the iota for qwest. otherwise i dont know why im hanging on to this 1 IOTA in my "qwest phone folder"
ill post the contents in a second post have to upload to rapidshare
ok i hope these work for u;
http://rapidshare.com/files/104457472/QWEST_2.13_extrom.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/104457828/qwest_IOTA.rar
u can use 1.47 radio instead of 1.39, it doesnt matter which radio u use between the 2, 1.47 is better anyways.
u just have to load a rom that allows u to unhide and write to the extrom/ dcd 3.01 and his other version can be done but u have to know how to manipulate it, otherwise DCD roms have the extrom hidden and he removed some reg entries
and stuff so u probably want to use no2chem rom or something/ then dump the qwest2.13 extrom into the extrom and see what happens/ but this is what was in my qwest rom extrom before i cleared it.
good luck
Well , i'm not exactly sure what to do with this information you have given me, but i will root around these forums so more and see if i can't make sense of it.
unless someone else decides to chime in
thanks again, Bunvilla
i came home for lunch and my buddy just bought a qwest mogul/ i loaded the unlocker 240 / next and it is where i think u went wrong is that u need to load the radio 3.35 FIRST then the rom/ cause i next loaded radio 3.35 and then a DCD custom 3.01 Rom with a whoppin 29mbs of memory free after installation/
i was done in 30min/ I did however have to get the SPC code to get into the NAM settings because it changed his MIN to something else/ it took 5min to get spc code and then a few min to correctly add his MIN and the right security format for the data connection/ everything went smooth and i made back to work with almost 10 min left on my lunch hour/
by the way i would get a message saying that" the account was not authorized to call that number" and then quote off some code/ but when i changed the NAM settings back it was good to go

noob upgrading question: what's the right order?

I'd like to upgrade my VZW XV6800 to DCD's Titan 3.1.2 with radio 3.39.10, but have some questions. I've read the Wiki and FAQ several times through, but am having a hard time understanding the correct order of upgrading the radio and ROM.
I've successfully upgraded bootloader to 2.40 using Hard-SPL-MFG.exe
Do I next upgrade the radio? Or do I load DCD's 3.1.2 and then upgrade the radio? (After writing that out I think I would upgrade the radio...looking for confirmation.)
Radio or you will be screwed. I speak from experience. Get a SD card and use that method.
good advice on both accounts.
did the radio first, but was then unable to get past the bootloader and unable to connect w/ ActiveSync. followed the SD directions and now i'm running everything i wanted!
I Flashed ROM Then Radio
Tonight I just finished successfully flashing my phone for the first time. I updated the boot loader using titan_SPL_2.40-olipro.exe, then I attempted to update the radio but actually did not due to a mistake on my part, then I successfully updated the ROM to dcd_titan_3.1.2.exe. Upon a restart, I realized the radio was not updated based upon the Verizon splash screen so I re-entered the bootloader and eventually flashed the radio. Once I finished flashing the radio I restarted and was presented with WM 6.1 and a usable phone.
Easy Way
The easiest way i found was after the new bootloader to go and use the Alltel Stock ROM with the 3.39 radio. This will upgrade your radio without you having to call Verizon. Then load DCD's ROM. Again you should not have to call Verizon or mess with SD cards or anything.

The Alltel rom has Radio 3.37.20, not 3.39.10.

Also not everyone has to call Verizon. I have flashed once to stock, DCD 3.0.4 and DCD 3.1.20 and have yet to call or reenter anything.

Telus P4000

Hello,
Just wondering which rom and radio to enable GPS would be the most reliable and compatible with the Telus service.
As well, does anyone know when Telus will release the official rom update? They recently released the one for the Touch , but I haven't come across any info on the P4000 version.
Hi. I am running 3.42 with DCD 3.2.5 and have had great results. DCD's Roms/kitchen are the best so far. I wouldn't hold your breath for Telus to release a ROM update for the P4000.
Choose the ROM/Kitchen that is best for you. There is nothing special about the Telus CDMA network that will cause it to perform differently than others with the available radios and ROMs. To choose, the forum already has most of the info that you are in search for.
...Only Telus knows when and if they choose to release their second update -- the first and only being for original WM 5 Titans to upgrade to one of the earliest WM 6 builds for a Titan in July 2007.

Alright, I was reading that when you flash, sometimes you have to write down the ESN and some numbers incase it gets reprogrammed. If i use these current DCD roms, will I have to mess with that or should it be work once i'm done flashing?
Also is 3.42 the bootloader or the radio? Which radiodo you use?
careful! there are two 3.42 roms. (3.42.02 and 3.42.30). the second one is far better for GPS than the first. Remember, you need to first install the olipro 2.40 unlocker, then run the Sprint 3.56/3.42.02 rom/radio combo (comes in one installer package). Then run the hard spl 1.20 unlocker to install 3.42.30. Once that is done, install the 2.40 olipro again. and you're all set

And it is simple, unspecific instructions like this that cause people to install Sprint Customizations and then moan and ***** about their phone converting to Sprint Service..
Just to clarify for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about...
If you are installing a Sprint ROM on your non-Sprint Titan, RESET the phone before customizations run (it will be like "Running customizations in 3..2...1..." then it will do it, and it will convert your phone's settings to Sprint, which can be a nightmare)
I'm not trying to be a hardass or anything, but I just don't want another person making the same mistake that so many have made for stupid reasons in the past.
Besides, you can install the radio w/o flashing Sprint's firmware, as long as you've never flashed the radio before.
