Hi there, I think my Qtek 8500's usb slot is failed, it only charges itself. I wanna flash it back to an official rom but I can't connect with ActiveSync, so can't do that. is there any way to flash startrek without usb connection?
U can: -try factory reset (i don't think it's cable problem)
-try reinstall activesync driver(or try wm5torage to test the cable)
-or flash with mirco sd card.. search in the forum
nope usb slot is completely ****ed up, AC charger doesn't even work

I have a qtek 9100 and when i put in usb cable, nothing appears, don´t connect with my computer, still unreconized.
Maybe it is the ROM problem, my SO is wm05, i want to upgrade the ROM but i can´t stabilish connection.
Can anyone help me?

it's not a Rom problem,but other factors like,which windows is on your pc,winXP or winVista ? and which software are you using to synchronize with ?
1. if its winXp use Activesync 4.5 but if winVista download and use Windows Mobile Device.
2.Check your usb cable,it might be faulty or mini usb port of the phone is damaged.
To flash a rom,its not required to establish connection through Activesync,you can flash a rom if usb cable establishes connection with your phone and pc.
To verify the connection of usb,get your phone in bootloaders mode (tricolor screen) and connect your phone with pc via usb cable,watch small usb appear at the bottom of the bootloaders (tricolor screen),if it appears, then you're good to go and flash the Rom.But if it doesn't,then you got a connection problem,either replace the usb cable and check again or get the mini usb port repaired.

I want to know if it's possible to Flash everything without any sync (only by SD)?

settings menu all settings connections connections usb to pc, untick "faster data". restart the pc, restart the phone.
it should now sync fine.

Go into Bootloader Mode (hold Volume button down while switching on the phone). You will get a tri colour screen with the word 'Serial' at the bottom of it. Plug in the USB calbe and it should change to 'USB'. If this happens then you can run HSPL and then ROMs - just ignore the conditions about making an ActiveSync connection prior to running.

I've plug the in the USB calbe when the HD2 was Off, and after loading the bootloader.
And nothing was happen.
Juste the 3 colors and the SPL version but never "USB" or "Serials", serial appears only if I don't plug the cable.
Load it into Bootloader Mode, then connect the USB cable - and see if the 'Serial' changes to 'USB'. If it doesn't, then you have a hardware problem (phone or cable or computer).
I think it's a Phone probleme.
Cause I've a Samsung wave and I havn't any problem with the same cable and the same computer.
Also I can't flash my HD²...

got another pc to try? what windows you using? stock usb cable? tried all your different usb ports? remembering to right click and "run as administrator"? no usb hub? if its 64bit windows, definately try a different pc.

I've already Try on another computer.
I've try with my seven OS, and with XP OS.
The problem is the same.
But when I plug the USB cable, the computer says "unknown Device" and it's the same on different computer with different cable...
I think my HD2 mother card is probably broke for this.
Hi guys.
I am hoping to get some help. I flashed a custom rom about 3 weeks ago from my favourite chef as there was a newer version released. After flashing said Rom I could no longer connect my phone via USB to PC. I would get a message on PC saying USB device not recognised or failed. Tried uninstalled Device centre, different USB and PC, but nothing, still the same error. So after all that tried hard reset and Task29. I then copyied the previously used Rom to my SDcard and installed from HSPL bootloader, but still the same.
I have noticed over the last week or so, that when using WinMo instead of Android, my battery will last 3-4 hours from a full charge, with Android I get 7-8 if I am lucky.
The last problem I have is when using WinMo and I want to lock the screen, it will lock and then come back on within 1 seconds time.
Can anyone help?

2) flash 2.15.50 radio
3) Flash a ROM you KNOW works (NRG, dutty, etc...) from SD
4) Hard-reset right after flash
try to hook up your USB and see if it works.
Go into Bootloader Mode and only then connect the USB cable. Does the 'Serial' change to 'USB'?

I have tried all this Fred, to no avail. Different cable, different usb sockets, different pc. Still nothing.
Bootloader mode doesn't change connection type when connected.

Tried all this previously mate, and still nothing. Trying again with a different ROM. I'll post back results.

Still no joy, tried just about everything now.
The only way the screen will stay off is when it is plugged into charger, other than that it just dims after 10 seconds then brightens back up after 2 seconds.
Looks like the insurance will be gettinga call then.
Damn, this means I will have to use the spare Blackbery Curve we have, gutted.

X10i not getting detected via USB. I want to update my phone to GB. But neither SEUS detects, nor PCC. Also there is no pop up on phone asking me to mount SD card when I connect the USB cable to Laptop.
Have tried it on two different laptops. With two different cables. Both had SEUS and PCC installed.
factory reset didn't help.
Phone charges. So broken MircoUSB port is a unlike scenario

try some other phones usb cable like u have nexus try if that works and ur able to connect ur phone !! or else try ur cable in some other phone to find out the fault either the cable or the phone !!!

Hi, past week i have a big problem whit my Ace... From nowhere my phone stop connection to my PC. When i plug in to the cable it only charge but no data. This mean no possible connection to PC, and more important no ROM Update! So how i fix it!
After try everything you can thing about this finnaly work!
You will need ODIN 4.38, some random full package ROM
1.Remove your SIM and Memory card
2.Load ODIN in your PC, and load the ROM files
3.Connect your Phone whit the PC via data cable and enter Download mode (Volume -; Home Button; Power Button)
note: if don't work, try another USB slot, my phone don't accept back USB's and i succed to connecting to front one!
4.Now ODIN should found your phone
5.After ODIN found your phone, disconnect the phone and reset him. It must work now
