Dear mo20103
i'm sorry to tell you it was the best and my arabic favorite web site but unfortunetly it's not as good as it use to be anymore.
recently they have lost lots of good users since some of their moderators started abusing their power with no reason!
i feel sorry for them and i hope they will sort out their problems soon before it's too late cause i hate to see my Favoriate site going down and pretty fast
since they were attack by hackers group and their server was rooted few weeks a go they gone crazy and they are worst then before now specially when it comes to the way they deal with users comments on what's going on on their forum.
one thing more i notice some of their best staff step down for unkown reasons !
well, just to correct your information http://www.pocketpc4arab.com they have just started less then 3 weeks ago and before i write this i just check their forum and they have 51 users and not as you said 7 users compare to the other forum which is almost one year old.
best regards and have a great day
Othman

Hi,
I'm the proud owner of a T-Mobile MDA II with vga camera. Half an hour ago I happend to find this interesting forum.
What is this Windows Mobile 2005? I've never heard of it. I searched the Microsoft website, but I didn't find anything.
I have no idea which OS is installed on my MDA... the ROM version is 1.72.01GER (in case that helps).
So... in case I want to upgrade my MDA.... what do I have to do, where do I get the files from etc. And, what is this upgrade all about? Is it a totally new OS, or what is it? I have no idea
Thanks for your help
Bye

Hi Bauer,
I too am a newbee. Just joined this forum about a month ago. If I may give you a clue ( though I'm not an expert in it), the Windows Mobile 2005 is supposed to be the next mobile phone OS from Microsoft. It is said to have many more user-friendly features than the one you are currently using. However it has not yet been officialy released in the market (I even doubt if its ready yet). But thanks to our great Buzz Lightyear (http://buzzdev.net) we are fortunate to get the taste of the new promised features. Buzz had managed to create his own version of the said OS and named it the Magneto. Why don't you try to drill further into other area of this forum or go to http://buzzdev.net. I'm sure you'll get the idea, and as it happened to me I'm sure you'll like it too. Good Luck.
Hi again Bauer,
Regarding the question as to where to get ROM upgrade, you can try this link http://www.buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=124&Itemid=32 to get the copy of the new ROM upgrade. However you are supposed to register yourself first to be able to access the link. There (and in this forum too) you will get a clear description & instruction for the ROM upgrade.
I would also like to get this opportunity to apologize to the forum (especially to Buzz and the development team) for not being polite enough to say 'thank you' for all the work you've done. I've had no significant problem with either the upgrading process or the tweaking around with both hardware and software (incl. 3rd parties). Everything works fine with my machine since day one I did the upgrade. I love the work. Thank you all, and have a nice day.
Hi Bauer,
Spend time reading the wiki site too which will provide you with a lot of background about your new toy and the sort of things you can tweak/ develop or pick up that others have done.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
Also learn to use the search function of this website as you can find most of the answers for yourself without relying upon good folk to give the same advice to the next newbee in the queue asking the same questions ('nuff said, we've all been newbees at sometime).
Once you've read relevant parts of the wiki and are comfortable that you want to risk changing your ROM (there are numerous pitfalls you risk (e.g. warrantee invalidation) and ultimately totally killing your machine if you have two left feet/ power surge/ massive bad luck etc) search these forums will educate you to the experiences of others developing/ beta testing/ exploring. Buzz's versions of WM5 are narrated a:

Remember to pay due homage to all his hard work.
Beyond that enjoy.

Hi guys,
I just made a blog what is a list of ANY rom for ANY phone!
Hope you'll find there what you want..
Already more than 200 ROMs on this blog!
http://all-cooked.blogspot.com
Please do not forget clicking on Google Ads if you like my work and want drink a beer with me!
Nice round-up. Are you planning on including reviews for each of them?
(BTW, you might want to have a script that shows the current date next to mine as I generally update everyday )
A script that shows the current time? Is that possible?
Yeh, it could be very useful
About reviews, its not possible, i just got a HTC Kaiser..
Or maybe people would help me, making them
Code:
<? print(Date("l F d, Y")); ?>
That is the php to print todays date
Maybe if you post in the Dev and hacking (?) forum requesting reviewers that would work. You would need to make each ROM its own page though and allow people to place comments
Blogger only allows HTML code
About reviews, not a bad idea, but Blogger is a bit crappy..
I'm waiting for donations to host all this work on a real server..
Guess I didn't make the cut since my ROMs are on page 2. Oh well. Guess thats what I get for not having any bugs
I added your ROM
and athena's works? x7500, x7501, x7510
Hi Dude, good idea.
Just adding some Athena ROMs now! Thank you
Added 4 ROMs for HTC Athena, thanks
good compilation
Thanks dude! Please make this blog known !
A humble request to the uploaders
As a die hard ROM fanatic, i want to try more than one ROMs a day and the rapisdhare makes it impossible to download more than one file per day, thanks to their "pay or scoot" policy.
Do find other Sources which even pays you for every downloads of your file who wont bother us ROM fanatics with their "Your daily limit has reached" dialogue.
Regards and great work y'all.. Keep it up
I am a BIIG fan of Xda dev forum
Cheers
You could just buy a small account at rapidshare. It's cheap, and you will be thinking; why didn't I do that before...
As a ROM leecher, you should be happy that there are people who are actually cooking roms for such an old device.
There's no such thing as a free lunch...
Ok, as previous DFT work, i was authorized from DFT Admin to post here their last release, The Green mango.
Here is a description (credits goes to zjw831 from DFT site) :
Sequence: Yesterday generation WP7 native machine release upgrade WP7 mango systematic approach, many people through this method to upgrade to Microsoft beta mango System (7661), although updated, system settings can not be set Chinese language (that is, no Chinese UI) , but the new system brings a multi-task and Chinese input method, and speed improvements. Visible, Microsoft released a year later WP7 improvement is still very large.
Through the efforts of DFT, the king of generation HD2 can experience the fun of mango, and green mangoes (not ripe mango) will be held today Login DFT. HD2 machine faithful cheer it. Than the generation of this ROM to upgrade the machine native WP7 bring more surprises, including five languages ??(Traditional 0404, 0407 German, 0409 English, 0419 Russian, 0804 U.S.). The new UI brings new Chinese experience, this is the generation of native machine now does not have. Haha (happy ah). Microsoft's Chinese UI, but it seems far to the edge Yeah, he slowly and understand it (note that this is the green mango).
Official ROM is completely tested style, no escape-related operations, and there is a serious BUG, mobile phone shops get in, but putting that loud, after all, green mango, we go slowly test it.

Nice to see it 'officially' released if this is indeed 'official'?
Absolutely love it!
Why didnt DFT release this themselves?
Anyway - does anyone know if it's possible to alter the physical key mappings, id like them a little different if possible?
Cheers
Paul
It is official 100% , DFT didnt posts themself for their personal reasons that if they want will be say.
Original thread : darkforcesteam.com.cn/thread-25819-1-1.html

+1 would like to know too?
Nice! Is it possible to see a CWM version of this in the future?
hello! I installed with success and now I want to get back to wm 6.5.
How to uninstall ?
thank you.
Boot into HSPL and flash a WM6.5 ROM of your choice as per normal.
2 Questions
Question regarding the SD card.
Can it be removed before installation and then re-added after complete so that it does not partition the SD card? Or will it still partition it after its inserted? Or will it just not allow a proper installation?
Can WP7 be added with Magldr 1.11 since in the screenshot it says you need at least Magldr 1.09 to install it?
You can just re-flash a Windows Mobile 6.5 Rom and everything will go back.

No changes for me. I cannot charge when the phone is turned off..
Oh man; so what if Christmas was 3 weeks ago. Thanks to all at DFT.
Understood about Live Services and syncing of calendar/contacts. But will it still sync with (my work) exchange server? That would help in making me decide to toss out WP6.5/Adnroid.
