Does anyone know of a Windows Mobile software that Prevents unauthorized software installations. The reason for this software is to prevent people from installing software such as spyware like flexspy onto your mobile without your permission. It would be nice to have a password protection prompt when you try to install software on your mobile. I don't want to password protect my entire phone for several reasons. Just want to password protect the software installation process.
If anyone knows of such a tool or can create one, please let me know. I'm running Windows Mobile 6.1
Thanks,
AJ

I installed embroidery software for my Bernina. I immediately received a message stating I had to update the drivers in WMDC before the software could finish installing to 6.1. Since that time, my device goes through the motions of syncing. I can look at the files on my device. eWallet syncs, but nothing else. On the device, I have the following message:
Result: There has been a change made on your server that requires you to resynchronize al items on your device. Please perform a manual sync.
Please tell me a work around other than rewriting the entire device!
whoa
Amazing the problem is mentioned on at&t board, but no one here has ever had it happen. The at&t fixes have not worked. The fix in the guide to updating the device has not worked. Sigh.
I have a 8525 and sometimes would like to think myself as somewhat dangerous with my knowlege of WM software and flashing, but I have no clue!!
I am assuming that you are talking about syncing to a PC with XP. If that assumption is correct, try deleting and recreating the partnership with your device.
With the device disconnected, in Activesync:
File > Delete Mobile device.
Also be sure you have the latest AS client on your PC.

I tried running viperMOD PrimeTime v4.1 (viperMOD PrimeTime v4.1.exe) on my Win7 and my Comodo Firewall reports that it detected a malicious file "[email protected]". I assume it blocks the execution, because nothing happens even if let it run. Can anybody confirm this is a false report? I'd like to have a confirmation before I disable Comodo and run the rooting tool again.
Edit: Scanning the files with MSE, and doing a computer full scan, reveals nothing.
Downloaded & executed on my win7 pc. Avira antivirus didn't mind. Think you're safe, probably.

All those rooting apps use non standard procedures that can be considered by some antivirus apps as dangerous. But no problem here.
Installed successfully, after telling Comodo the file was a false alarm.
One note for detail freaks like me that I wanted to post in the main dev thread but cannot due to not having 10 post (perhaps somebody can transfer it there): for step "9) If you see MTP USB Device on the next screen under ASUS Android MTP Device...", I did not see "ASUS Android MTP Device" anywhere, my system was identifying the device already as Transformer TF-201. Clicked next and everything went just fine, RootKeeper confirms root.
I am using windows phone 8.1 (lumia 535) . i have just tried to install haret following the exact instructions from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=648045 but when i am trying to install on my 16 GB sd card using sd reader on my pc it showing that haret is naot a valid win 32 file to run.

please can anyone tell me??
No Android on windows phone 8.x.
I'm going to give you the benefit of a doubt that you simply don't know anything at all about wither Haret or Windows Phone, and advise you to take a long, step beck from whatever you were trying to do. There are so many problems...
1) Those steps are for Windows Mobile. Windows Phone is *NOT* Windows Mobile. WP7 had a lot in common (though also a lot different) with WinMo, but WP8.x has almost nothing in common with WinMo.
2) That post was written before WP7 was even released, much less WP8. Expecting it to work on an OS that wasn't even released yet is... unreasonable.
3) Haret requires very deep access into the OS internals. WinMo had a very minimal security system that basically allowed apps to run as root without any restriction. WP (even WP7, much less 8.x) is much more restrictive.
4) Those steps explicitly say they require running unsigned code. While technically that's possible on WP8 via sideloaded apps, anything that isn't signed and isn't installed via .APPX or .XAP isn't going to run.
I could go on...
Hi, I need to download a mobile app (x86 compatible) to be sideloaded on W10 pc.
The app is released for mobile only so I cannot install it from microsoft store, but I need it and I want to try to sideload it on pc.
The question is:
how to download appx bundle of mobile only apps?
will it work on pc?
Thanks!
You can download appx via this site: https://store.rg-adguard.net/
how i know you can`t install mobile appx on pc.
My reply
Gone are the days when Windows Store users were allowed to download XAP or APPX files manually for offline installations. With the introduction of Microsoft Store, Microsoft discontinued the option. Now, users are only allowed to install applications from the Store itself. This does not mean that you cannot install APPX files on your Windows 10 machine. But the main thing is getting an APPX file. For this, you can use a tool called Fiddler.
If you want to work with the source code of the program for a mobile phone, you can ask the developers or try to open it through the program.
It seems to me if you search you can find some kind of emulator that will display on the computer, but this is not accurate
EdbMails Office 365 migration tool is one of the most effective ways to migrate Office 365 tenants. I've used this software before, and it can easily move a huge number of mailboxes. I was able to contact their excellent 24/7 personal support at one point, and they were able to walk me through the procedure and requirements. If you're having trouble migrating to Office 365, I highly recommend EdbMails Office 365 migration tool.
i got this message after successfully download it once.then i want to redownload the apps

Your IP or your compunter name or browser ID has been blocked or whatever they use to identify your computer has been blocked by microsoft server. It's also maybe limited to the number of time you can download a specific package that way.
I try to understand the way they decide to allow or forbid to download a package. I succeded to download 2 paid packaged app, one of them running just fine once unzipped (but could not install it as a UWP package because lack of certificate), the second one, still unzipped, missing shared dll to start, so downloaded successfully VCLibs.140 package but it refuse to install because to other insalled package has to be stopped first before that.
As the pace of the world picked up, professional workers began working remotely on a daily basis. This is because multiple companies have adopted new guidelines for working remotely with Microsoft Teams, making it important for companies to ensure their virtual teams have access to tools and technology to work on the go. I'm here. Because Microsoft 365 is completely cloud-based, users can work effectively anywhere, anytime, as long as they have an internet connection. Which makes many users and enterprises to adopt Office 365 Migration Services.

I used this software to change CSC in my phone. I installed the software on my windows. After CSC was successful changed I decided to uninstall the SamKEy software from my PC. And than I got an alert from windows that there is a virus (Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.G!ml). Have to notice the virus was found in uninstall programme and not in SamKEY programme itself.
Now, I want to know if my phone is still safe and secured. What can I do to insure that my phone is clear from viruses and malicious software.
@Offengenden
Look inside here if you suspect your Windows computer got infected.
I more worried about my new phone rather about my windows.

How should the mentioned trojan ( Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.G!ml) written to run on Windows OS and detected by Windows Defender act on a phone's Android OS?
BTW: A trojan isn't a virus. Trojans are designed to stealthily infiltrate the victim's computer and remain silent, and thus no particular symptoms are clearly visible on an infected machine.
Hi! I have been trying to find any info regarding Samkey recently, but no result. People seem to use it without concidering any risk. I asked Samkey via live chat on their website regarding antivirus warning when they app is run, they just advised to turn it off. Very assuring answer)))
Is there any way to check what they do while changing CSC on your phone or unlocking it? They use ADB for this and theoretically, they can inject anything into your phone compromising its security.

If there is a Trojan in windows app, then that app might inject via ADB anything into your Android and you will never know that
