Hello guys.
I'm wondering if there is any way to play with the mapping of my keys(from the external keyboard not the sliding one).
Like the way we do for the sliding keyboard by modifying the "eT9.Rose.xxxx.kmap.txt" file.
I need it because I am using Greek language for sms messages and I just can't get used to the Rose's mapping.
Thank you
anyone?any help?
There isno way that I am aware of sorry...
so sad.....thank you for your reply frauhottelmann

i would really like to have the 1 button keyboard as my only soft keyboard for ALL applications. does anyone know a way to imply this?
thanks a lot.
Or modified keyboard
Or possibly modify the touch keyboard so that the full stop & comma are on the 1st page of symbols & the word select area is more finger friendly?
Try the keyboard TouchPal ...is free to use and is great for oane hand use of the phone. I write SMS with it even when driving...
here it is : http://www.cootek.com/
don't know if this helps and if it sets the keyboard to default, but if you press on the little "upper arrow" on the right side to the "20", you can change the kind of keyboard used by the application
I like to have this keyboard too...
I usually write texts in English on my phone. However, there are some cases that I need to write in some other languages that Hero does not support at the moment. In my Blackstone, there was a button on the keyboard to switch T9 on and off at any time. Am I missing it on Hero? Maybe some long press on a key or something?
Thanks in advance.
Maybe you could create a shortcut with "AnyCut", but I dont know another way atm.
Greetz.
Hello,
I'm trying to develop keyboard which has a voice input button like gingerbread keyboard for my language(Thai).
I can apply voicerecognizer intent to normal apps becuase they are extended from activity but keyboard extended from inputmethodservice. So i can't use startActivityForResult(intent, int) for collect result from voice recognize intent.
Any one has an idea for help me solve this problem or shown me how gingerbread keyboard implement this . Thanks in advance.
P.S. sorry for bad english.
I know, I should have searched.
But I have searched and did not find anything usable.
I have a HTC Leo with WM6.5 and Energy Sense mod.
Recently an idiot (me probably) bewitched my keyboard. Instead of my good old QWERTY traditional keyboard i get a QW ER TY keyboard with two letters per key.
Ok. let's change the input type...
Where?
On the Sense Settings menu under Locale & Text, Text input? nothing there usable.
On the start menu? Settings? Tools? I did not find anything that worked.
Could anyone give me a hint where to retreive my good old QWERTY?
Thank you
with compact qwerty open give a quick tap offset to the right half of the keyboard icon & you should get the extended menu come up with options of Qwerty including full standard qwerty.
You can also use my attached mortscript & use the .exe to launch the script which will make the input extended menu popup.
Thank you. It was too easy... I spent hours trying to find the way...
I use SwiftKey a lot and I like it
I found that a keyboard clipkey is a keyboard I would like to use sometimes when I do certain things where sending pre defined phrases to send.
Im looking for a way to quickly change between ClipKey and SwiftKey
Anyone has suggestions how to do it?
Might be a easy way to change keyboard on SwiftKey that I missed, in that case please tell me ??

Every android keyboard that you install and setup in the global input setting menu(input/language mostly) is active and you just need to use the keyboard switch on the top left of your status bar or if you have a nav bar where virtual keys appear you can set the keyboard switch button there.
That's it.
