Hi,
Searching for recent unlocking NAND solutions, I thought that I could create a list of Full rooted phones with guides :
-Dell Streak
- Motorola Milestone
- HTC Incredible
- HTC Evo 4G
Maybe could we try one of these solutions on our X10 ? (Noob question! )

No.
Why do you think there are 4 solutions for 4 phones?
Because each on is different

Not with HTC ? For example, a kernel exploit which worked previously could work on the X10 .
No harm in trying right?

We have already root, so we have access to the kernel via insmod by means of a selfmade module.
Ciao Angelo
we have access for recovery and boot in ro and rw
but unless bootloader is patched or we find an way to load our files
we can not use them

Ok at the end I thinked how to load alternative rom without modifying the bootloader (e.g. froyo).
1) we need to root the X10
2) we must modify init.rc to load a new kernel or enter in recovery mode
3) we install 2nboot-ng wiki.xvilka.org/index.php?title=2nboot-ng (motorola milestone has the bootloader locked as our X10)
The scripts of the recovery mode must not flash /system but they must copy the files directly onto /system.

So:
1 is done.
2 you have access read/write to recovery
Can you try to work on step 3??

If we find a way to flash it, and it goes wrong - yes.
But because it is risky, other methods are being tried out too.

We're stuck at same part. Someone tried to use method that works for legend(but changed it a little bit), but in recovery adb can't find the wildfire. It shows "Offline", so we can't push custom recovery.
/sbin is read-only while booted, so we need to push it in recovery.
Other cables, USB-ports and rebooting doesn't work

what does it mean "in recovery" ?
You all realize you are in the Dell Streak sub forums?
I was given a Legend today and found that I could have it rooted in 3 easy steps.
1. Use HTCdev to unlock bootloader.
2. Install CWM 5.0.2.8 recovery.
3. Install superuser zip via CWM.
That's it, I ve superuser permission for all the rooted apks and confirm thru terminal emulator that I ve the $ change to #.
So you didn't use tools like HTCSuperTool v3 or Unrevoked?

I put the recovery img in the same folder as the token and i used fastboot to push recovery img. It works and right after i flash superuser 3.0.7 efghi signed zip.
I am now enjoying Rom Devil 2.3.7, setcpu 760/312MHz, no lag and bootloop. Only apk on phone memory are google play and setcpu all others on sd which i did ext3 partition. I ve 175mb free. Good browsing speed, Flash 11 works and battery life good.Enjoying it
I underestimated this phone when !st saw it, must say its easier to carry around than my DHD albeit a smaller version. Good phone, tho 2 yrs plus. I think i can used it for quite a while as my friend hardly use it since he got it new.

I have been trying to root my Legend
Hi all, i recently scoured these forums searching for the most simple way to achieve recovery on the Xperia S. Of course to no avail to a newbie like myself. My device is rooted and with ICS, with an unlocked bootloader. I initially tried to achieve CWM by using the application on the market (Prior to obtaining root but with unlocked bootloader & ICS). I recently tried to achieve CWM using the CWM - Xperia on the market and success it worked! Simply click the "Reboot into recovery mode" within the application and it will install CWM into the system partition so you can use recovery! I am unsure whether this has been posted recently but i avoided posting it elsewhere due to restrictions and the like, i hope this hasn't been discovered yet and im not just being ignorant to the forum i literally could not find any news of this elsewhere!
If needs be, i will make a guide on how to achieve this including the rooting and flashing steps i took.

Download the attachment!
Unzip using WinRar
Connect your phone in normal mode
Go to the folder you extracted earlyer
Double click on "Install.bat"
Restart your phone
While turning on,at the Sony Boot Logo simply tap a few times the screen!
Now you should have CWM Recovery on your phone!
Simple as that
Hope helps you...
CWM 5 supports the touch screen buttons on the bottom of the phone also. its very easy to use!
Beats audio installed via this method.
On what firmware is that available? This is just a one click method after achieving root.

CWM is some kind like the Bios from your pc...except does not have the same functions
it`s a recovery, where you can backup your rom and restore if something goes wrong with your phone!
with it you can install some custom ROM`s
you can clear cache...dalvik cache....and a lot more to do!
but really the mos usefull function of it is the backup-restore and the flash of different modules rom`s and kernels!
it`s better to have cwn just in case

install Sony PC Comanion first
second check the usb debugging box from {}developer options
then just plug your phone into the usb
after that double click on install.bat
i am on unlocked bootloader
i don`t know if it works with locked bootloader
it should work
another way to install CWM is to flash a kernel wich already have CWM on it!
to do that you must install fastboot driver an connect your phone in fastboot mode to your pc(with the phone shut off pres and keep volume up key and plug into USB untill the blue led is on)
than go to the extracted folder(in the attachment) and pres and hold shift key + right click
select from menu open command window here
in the cmd window type " fastboot flash boot kernel.elf" without the comma`s
it will install the Xperia SSpedd OC @ 1,67 MHZ and you will get CWM olso on your device!
After installing that to enter CWM pres volume up when booting the phone while the blue led and light stripe is on!
this is olso for unlocked bootloader,i don`t know if it works for locked bootloader since my phone is with unlocked bootloader from the day 1!
Again simply installing this APK from the market seems to be less daunting.

Hello,
I am for the last days trying to root the Neffos X1 Lite no success. None of the main rooting tools worked, such Kingroot, Kingoroot, Root Genius, etc.
The rooted boot image that I've downloaded from the web left the device in a bootloop with glitchs on the screen, then I've restored the stock boot imagem.
Also no CF-Autoroot zip yet.
Any ideas?

I don't think disappearance of Developer Options means you are unlocked.
Use fastboot to check status of your bootloader.

Anyone ever wondered if you can flash the oppo a12 firmware on oppo a5s? Their hardware specs are the same.
@abia @Thago You can unlock bootloader
1) downgrade the rom to version 17
2) use mtk easy su
3) in magisk install adbandfastboot ndk (because this oppo phone doesn't have fastboot)
run these commands
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot reboot
I have successfully unlocked my bootloader

Yes it works
1) you have to unlock the bootloader first by my above method
2) patch the boot image manually with magisk ( auto patching doesn't work) or I will link one afterwards if you can't do it
the root is persistant after this, the only downside is the taskbar constanty displays "your device is rooted message" but it can also be fixed with a xposed module
