Since the official 2.1 update came out I'm having a problem with mobile tv provided by T-Mobile Netherlands. They just don't buffer also our public broadcaster's streams don't work either over 3G, with wifi activated I can stream everything but with 3G activated it doesn't work at all.
Does anybody knows why this is happening and what can I do about it, (I dont like stock roms because I just can't get used to the ugly homescreens, I just love sense).

Stock radio which is provided with the OTA update, my 3G connection is good (all bars are full), youtube streaming works, it has something to do with RTSP, with my N97 at the same location I can use streaming (the stream shows up after just a few seconds) with 1.5 I never had problems

Hi,
I'm trying to use Skype on GTablet (CM7 RC1 ROM).
Over WiFi I'm having no problems, Skype is working. But over 3G, using Huawei 3G modem, I can't connect at all (small correction - once I was able to login, but wasn't able to make any calls, only receive. After disconnecting I'm no longer able to login.)
Error (immediately after clicking on Sing In) - "Cannot connect to Skype. You cannot be signed at this time. Please check your mobile network settings and try again"
Browser, Market, Firefox, YouTube, PocketCloud (RDP), Google Maps are working over 3G without any problems.
Anybody know how to use Skype over 3G on GTablet ?
Nobody have Huawei 3G USB modem and Skype ? :-(
No 3G modem here
I do not have a 3G modem, but I tried Skype on the gtablet when they announced video support for Android. No go on the video yet, but audio worked over wifi.
Anybody gotten Skype with video running on the gtablet?
I'm running into the same problem with no video as well. I'm so ready for a patch or something that will fix this.
So far I wasn't been able to find working version of video Skype app for gtablet. And I tested 5-6 different versions from different sites.
I installed this app on my Sony Tablet S but everytime i try to run it it tells me that the network is not available even tho my wifi works just fine.
As a side note i have the same problem with my Xperia Arc when trying to use the app on my wifi. It works well on my 3g, but who in their right mind would stream music on 3g when wifi is available . Beside, theres not even an option of 3g for my tablet.
Anyone else having this problem? Am i doing something wrong?
My Tablet S and Arc both connect without any issues. Verizon FIOS WIFI-Texas
ok, so i went and connected to another wifi and on that one it worked.
what could be the settings that prevents me from connecting to music unlimited but lets me have access to anything else?
EDIT
I can load the app, loads the songs, lists, sense me , everything.. onbly when i press play it tells me there is no network. Very frustrating.
Another thing, i did a factory reset.. that didnt help . And also something weird, my PS3 and Bravia TV can connect to Music Unlimited through the same WiFi with no problems.
Is just the tablet and the Xperia Arc that dont want to go.

Try to open TCP ports 554 and 8554 in your router to see if it makes any difference.
I think that the RTSP could be blocked in the router.
Same problem here.
I can't play any song on Music Unlimited with the Tablet connected to my home wifi.
I've tried it with another wifi and it works as expected.
I like streaming TV (ES7005) to my SGS2 inside my home network but I'd love to be able to do it elsewhere too, for example with 3g connection or friend's wifi.
With OS Monitor (from market) I managed to find out that at least while streaming the connection is made to ports 55000 and 55001, but even if I portforward these to my TV I can't make a connectiong with 3g.
Is there any network wizard here that could make it work or at least explain why it wouldn't work without wifi connection?
Hi guys,
So I just picked up my Galaxy S3 on an Optus contract. I noticed if I am in a call with my Bluetooth headset while my wifi is on and my wifi will constantly disconnect. It wont disconnect if I am not in a call but as soon as i go into a call with the Bluetooth my wifi goes crazy.
Does anyone else have these issues?
Edit: I am on the latest software update and I have tried turning off the power saving mode and resetting the phone. None of which has worked.
Does anyone have any advice?

I had similar Wi-Fi issue with my brand new galaxy s3. A factory reset fixed it.

This has not fixed it for me. I have even flashed custom roms and still having the same issue. I am not back on my stock rom and thinking about returning for warranty.
Yeah I have the same issue, bluetooth can be on and not connected with no problem, but once connected to something the the wifi will drop randomly.
There seems to be no pattern sometimes it will drop in a few seconds to 30mins very random.
Old topic, but I've found that if Bluetooth is working hard then the wi-fi throughput drops to almost nothing and also keeps droppping the connection.
I found this when streaming with Apt-X from online services such as Spotify, Rdio and Napster (I've tried them all). I've also streamed from my NAS over wi-fi.
To confirm this I've run the SpeedTest app when streaming Apt-X and when not. With no streaming I get excellent speeds, when streaming (from an mp3 stored on the phone) the test either fails due to a failed connection or it hobbles along and gives very poor results.
I suspect the same aerial is being used for both wi-fi and Bluetooth.
I'm using 2.4GHz wi-fi; it's possible that 5GHz wi-fi may not have this issue.
Hello!
I'm very close to buying this phone (assuming availability...) but have one major concern: my current LG p880 has a serious issue of WiFi and Bluetooth conflict. This means that I cannot use them at the same time (e.g. stream music and listen through Bluetooth speakers).
My girlfriend's iPhone does this with no problem.
For those who already have the device: did you encounter any such problems?
Thanks!

Thread's a bit old but I'm having the problem he's trying to avoid.
When connected to my Sony SRS-BTX500 bluetooth speaker (is it really aptX capable because my phone says so but couldn't find info about it online) while streaming music over WiFi or surfing the net the music drops out for half a second and then plays again normally every now and then but the more serious problem is that sometimes I can't even surf the net while being connected to bluetooth because it simply isn't able to load the page.
It just happend to me minutes ago on facebook. I was surfing completely normal then decided to listen to music on the bluetooth speaker by streaming music from Spotify over WiFi and when I wanted to continue surfing facebook it couldn't load the next page.
After switching bluetooth off and reloading the page everything worked normal.
After reconnectiong both worked together but the sound droped out every now and then.
I'm on stock Sony firmware and ROM 17.1.A.2.55 bought in Germany.
Kind regards

That's interesting (and annoying). By now I have the phone (bought on eBay Germany) running the same firmware and I have no such problems. I stream music over Wifi, play it with a Bluetooth system and surf the web without delays or breaks in the music.
Maybe Spotify streams in a very high quality that you can reduce?
With my previous phone I partly solved the wifi/BT conflict with an app called Bluetooth Keepalive. It was working quite well. Maybe you could give it a try.
I already lowered the streaming quality of Spotify to normal because with extreme I didn't could think about surfing the net.
As far as I remember the WiFi even dropped out several times on extreme quality.
I just looked in the Playstore and I will sure as hell not pay money for an app which maybe solves a problem which shouldn't even exist in the first place and especially not on a high-end smartphone for 600€!
WiFi too slow when Bluetooth active. Sony Xperia z2
Hello, it has been a while since the last post here. I have a Sony Xperia z2 phone and I realized that the WiFi connection was too slow. I have also an iPad air and a Samsung galaxy 10.1 2014 that are connected to the same router and that were really fast. They were at 10Mbps while the phone was under 1 Mbps and very unstable. The tests I have done were made with ookla speed test. I tried restarting both the router and the phone but the prone was still there, so I tried to change battery settings and WiFi settings with all the possible mix. But the speed didn't went up. So I started killing some connections like NFC, GPS, but nothing changed, so when the moment arrived for testing turning off the Bluetooth connection, everything changed. The speed was over 6Mbps for the first time and after that test all the tests were over 5 Mbps.
Everything showed that the problem was the Bluetooth, but not being so easy to believe, I started one test and while the download test was showing speed over 6 Mbps, I turned on the Bluetooth and instantly the speed went under 1 Mbps.
With this experiment I have demonstrated myself that the problem was the Bluetooth connection.
I would want that this post change the focus of this problem and lead to a solution different than turning off the Bluetooth while using WiFi.
Thanks for your support...
I can confirm that turning Bluetooth on and off during a speed test definitely interferes with the connection. It slows or stops the test when you turn Bluetooth on or off. Interesting!
