hello
I'm having a problem of synchronization between my HD2 and my exchange server 2010.
ex 2010 also synchronizes the sms.
Unfortunately, when I use a rom that uses SMS messaging HTC, nothing syncs.
I tried the rom NRG uses Windows Mail, everything syncs without problems.
but I do not wish to use a rom WWE Daily, I'm french.
Have you:
An idea to solve the problem? or how else could deliver the mail by default WM on a rom style artemis?
thank you

Hi Folks
I have for many years been using HTC devices running WM. Currently i'm using a an Orbit running a cooked rom of WM6.1.
When every I moved between the HTC phones I always use PPC PimBackup to backups the contacts/messages on one phone and then restore to another.
I have just ordered the Hero in the UK. Is there anyway of importing my contacts/messages from a WM6.1 handset to Android?
For contact u can use activesync to sync with google. i used it for calendar and contacts. I don't know how you can sync the messages.
the settings for active sync google
Server adres: m.google.com
Username: account at google [email protected]
Password: your gmail password
IMPORTENT
Only check Contacts and calendar else the sync won't work and you will get a error.
Hi,
I want to syncronize HD2 and Diamond, both WM 6.5, with 2 WIN 7 PCs with Outlook 2010. Email-providers are gmx (priceless version) and gmail. One of these would also be fine.
My goal is the complete and clean syncronisation of mails, contacts, calendar and tasks. Inclusive categories and really all fields (f.i. notes of the each contact, contact pics etc).
I suppose I need (hosted) exchange. Do I? It's ok if it costs 5-10 Euro per month, important is it's clean and complete.
Gmail-Sync seems to do mails, contacts and calendar, what's with tasks? everything clean and complete?
Live, Live-Mesh, Skydrive, O2, MS and all the stuff I've read about but to be honest, the more I read the more I get confused.
Can somebody help me please? I suppose I'm not the only one with this scenario, 2 WM 6.5 and 2 Win 7 Outlook 2010 PCs and who wants to syncronize these, for my sake hosted and with costs.
edit: What's with this exchange active Sync by Hotmail? It's said to do mail, calendar & tasks. But what's with contacts? And tasks seem to work not fine. Oh, please help me, I'm totally confused.
Hey Community,
I have an HTC HD running WM 6.5 and a HTC Magic running froyo. The HD syncs all sms via active sync with the exchange server.
Is there an app for android that syncs SMS with my exchange server?
The latest version of touchdown does it ...
I've also suggested it as a feature for Handcent on there forums!
thanks man, works fine now
Touchdown can only sync inbox, other folders can not sync even I selected them to sync.
So I want to use Samsung email client for my other phone,
I extract email.apk from /system/app,
But it can not be installed on other phone,
Just show installation failed.
I tested on HTC, Motorola, all are rooted Android 4.0.4.
Is there any limitation from install this Samsung email client to other phone?
I was told that Android mail is not compatible with Exchange 2003 SP2 due to the luck of support for the security policies. I will not be able to synchronise i9100 mail with my office account.
Is this correct?
Can this be addressed with an other mail client?
Is this an issue that may be resolved with future updates?
Thanks
I realize this is an old thread but I figured I'd give you an answer in case you never found one.
I'm using Exchange 2003 SP2 and Active Sync with my Samsung Galaxy S II LTE (Android OS 2.3.5) and the default mail app with no problems other then massive battery drain.
It syncs my e-mail (push/pull), calendar and contacts. I think it even does lookups from our global address list.
