Hello guys.
I have searched all the posts talking about RDS on HTC HD2 but i can't get clear answer.
At first I found that Power Radio can not support HD2.
Searching further I found that GFMAPI for this device was under development but wasn't moving because they didn't know the hardware installed inside.
Then I found that pictures of this chip was posted and that now they know what hardware is there.
Further look for GFMAPI that it some what works.
After looking further into Driver development project - developers are now trying to activate a certain feature in it.
Does this mean that RDS now supported and that working drivers do exist?
If so, can someone tell me how to get it to work. My attemps yielded 0 results.
Or atleast cofirm that it is working?
Thanks in advance.

Newby question from someone just statring off and not brave enough to enter into registry land....yet.
I have the HTC Hermes (SPV M3100) which has been upgraded to WM6.1 Rom version TNT. 19199 and have found like may others that although i can send files via bluetooth i cannot receive any. due to the donor machine being unable to establish a connection.
I have searched countless forums and discovered that the problem lies with the installed upgrade which would appear to have had a slight error/ommission with the irda/comm manager settings. I have found over 10 similar threads on the same subject, all of which remain unresolved.
A similar problem on a HTC Prophet was answered with a registry fix titled "IRDA fix" however as i'm not ready to dive inside my machines workings just yet.... does anyone have the fix in CAB format.
Im sure that if posted the cab fix would make a lot of people a little happier.
:
Did as told to do and searched a bit more....
Found the answer here.

It was a fault highlighted in the initail build of
TNT.19199 Series UC (Vanilla/Official/Professional)HighQuality.
and as instructed i installed Dr Yar Bluetooth app and all is well.
Ill post this in the other threads i found and see if it makes people happy.
It has been quite some time since the HTC touch pro came and since the very beginning there was talk about running android on it. I mean I remember a month after the Touch Pro came out someone had Android running on it, although it was just a proof of concept and didn't have touch or anything working.
So how has is been coming? Is Android finally a viable option for the Touch Pro?
I mean I would love to try android on my phone, as long as it works with bluetooth and the hardware buttons...that's really all I need. I can manage without wifi, speaker, etc.

Sorry I didn't know about the wiki and I did do a search for android in the ROM development forum and didn't come up with much.
But I was just wondering what kind of experiences people have had with it and wether it has been working smoothly.

A) link is broken... please fix!!
link is fine, but it seems like connect utb is down. Give them until tommorow
Can somebody help me with a weird problem?
Everything boots up just fine, but when I follow the how-to for my mobile networking my hardware keys(home, back, dial & disconnect) won't work!
Does anyone have a solution for that?
edit: it seems to be that the home and dial key are also left and the back and disconnect key are acting like a right key
thx in advance!
You asked for an opinion right?
I did try the android ports, even tried the one that's more recent but I didn't find them usable. They're too complicated and things don't work as expected. Maybe in time they will create a usable port for the touch pro but by then I will want to change my phone...I'm considering that right now too...
BUT. Some quality work has been done and it is a really cool experience. I appreciate all the work that has been put into that project.
Hopefully someone can help - mods, if this is wrong place please correct, thanks.
I have just been given a streak, but cannot access the app Market . There was no app shortcut on the handset out of the box.
I have been through everything that google suggest, and there seem to be hundreds of us having the same problem right now going by the google/android help forums; but no decent ideas as to why this is.
Does anyone know what the bug is? Could you tell from any info I could supply from the handset. The streak was shipped with froyo. Other than that I am rather new to the whole android thing. Thanks in advance
Hi welcome to the streak
can you list what you have tried otherwise we would be suggesting wast less things, like i take it you have done a factory reset, delete cache from the market and the data found in the apps under settings, try that for now then report back and I'm sure others will have suggestions
PS
Q go in the Q&A so i will move this their
Thanks, and yes, I've tried those things. Also ( from google support) tried various combinations of deleting google account, logging in/out on pc etc... All with no joy.
As you can see from the google support pages- [edit - I'm too new to post links]
I'm not alone but it seems such a fundamental error that I'm surprised that google aren't replying with anything more concrete.
I tried installing SAM and installed apps from SlideMe no problem so there are no connectivity issues.
sounds to me like you need to "reflash" if you will.
head over to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000455 and read the directions.
if you still need help there are many threads that could guide you
Folow-Up
as a follow-up to this, I got nowhere with all the forum advice so eventually called Dell. They said that as the streak was running 2.2.2 it needed to roll back to 2.2 which they did, and now all seems fine.
Ive found a couple of Apps in the market that allow me to link my Wii fit balance board to my phone to use as bathroom scales. But neither will work and looking at the Apps it appears that its an issue with the Bluetooth drivers used on Later samsung phones as well as HTC sense phones.
IM not sure exactly what the problem is but i see terms like not being HID compatable. How can i find out what BT software my SGS2 is using and can i replace that without having to install a whole new rom?
noone have any ideas?
i cant be the first to have this issue and there is just so much info here its hrd to find what i would need.
I have tried searching but cant seem to find what i would need.
Hi,
As you may know Sony has not updated its bt libs even for its own bt devices such as mw600. Hence at least the device I mentioned and own does not show song name or caller ID on its screen. This problem is fixed only and only in CyanogenMod Android ROMs.
There is a bug report discussion here about one version of CyanogenMod Android ROM which did not have the proper libraries. The developer has found the file causing the issue and has posted it and everybody confirms the fix.
Well, I tested putting the file in respective place in a GB rom but it did not work. Most probably a different file is needed.
Can someone help me with it?

Well, you know I was going to add the same sentences at the end of my last post but somehow I changed my mind because I could get this simple (for devs of course) answer NOwhere. Still hopeful...
Sony's Support Reply
Well, I recommned you go to Sony support site to see the whole answer, but anyway the answer confirms what I thought:
As far as I'm aware it's due to a lack of a certain Bluetooth profile this function isn't available in some phone's.

New Discussion Found
Well, I found another thread here talking somehow about this problem. Here are some highlights of the thread;
The MW600 will not show up Track Title or for that matter any other information when used with Android. Reason being, Android uses Bluetooth profile AVRCP v1.0. However, in order to get extra information (metadata) like Track Title, Caller Name, etc. you will need AVRCP v1.3 and above; which none of the Android version has...

It works on CM7 as CM7 supports AVCRP 1.3

They've implemented it on CyanogenMod 7 (CM7) officially as of version 7.1.0, according to the changelog. Whether it actually works or not may depend on the particular phone and if it's been tested.
Also, it only works with the stock CM music player (so far). I'm currently using ThGoCm v3.0, and... it doesn't come with the stock player.
According to this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18211506&highlight=avrcp#post18211506), it's at least partially working on FreeXperia CM7.2.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=911364)! That was for version FXP030 though, and it's currently at FXP046. I'll probably try it this weekend.
AVRCP stands for "Audio/Video Remote Control Profile". To put it simply, AVRCP is the part of Bluetooth that lets you stream music. Only version 1.3 and higher can show track info, and stock Android has been using version 1.0.

So this AVRCP thing is the reason why I get no proper display of the songs' titles on my bluetooth device because the phone does not communicate with it completely.
Now please somebody find a solution to update AVRCP on all roms, as it is on CM.
