Hi everyone!
I have installed some new icons for battery, sound and signal. I need to get them back to normal...could someone tell me how?
Thank you!
Did you try to simply uninstall the cab that replaced them in the first place?

IT Crowd: Have you tried to turn it off and on again ?
This has happend to me, Have you used Zedge app or another rigntone downloader, they might give you problems with the downloaded mp3s, try using another ringtone., also check if the silent option is enabled
of course i reboot the phone. i also installed different ROM.the same thinks happen. I think all started when i installed handsend sms. but i dont think thats the cause
Well, i have handcent since months and no problems there, but sure it seems some app it´s interfering on the sound settings. Have you check if the song tones are in their proper location ?? Are they showing correctly on the phone sound picker when you try to change them ??
Yes. I can see the sounds and the mp3 but when i press Play i cant hear anything. the bad news is that i updated the ROM and there is no guarranty now.
Hey dude.. this is happen with me too.. I tried everything (reboot, install new rom and nothing)... so I opened the phone and took out the 4 screws, and hd a look at the contacts points of the speaker (p.s. I did not unplug anything) put together and ta-dah.. work again..
Try it if you have some experience or if not take for technical assistance

Ok, first of all - I'm seriously gonna buy somebody a big beer if he can tell me how to repair the stuff below without reflashing. No kidding...
- Whats the problem?

When I go to default SE massager (conversations.apk), and hit the "Settings" option from the menu I get a force close... No way I can get in to that settings, and I need them to disable the standard notifications.
- How did that happened?

Well I'm not sure, but I think I deleted some stock apk that I was just not using (ofc from system/app folder). The Conversation.apk is there obviously, but like I've said, settings in it - not reachable because of the force close.
It's hard for me to say which app is responsible for that. I am sitting, and restoring them one-by-one with no effect. Maybe I miss some... Don't really know
Ofc I've tried to delete, and restore Conversations.apk (new), I've even installed a X10i version, but still - the same problem.
Reflashing is not an option for me, so I have a big problem. Be thankful for any suggestions.
Doesn't help you, but I have the same issue, a reflash doesn't help have just got into habit of clearing notifications after every text.
@batwingnz
Thanks for replay. Hope someone can help us. The problem is really annoying, and after your post I have no clue wtf generates it... :/
Done! -Tutorial-
Wow, finally I found a way to get rid of this problem once and for all!
This took a while, but anyway...
I've installed the stock "SEMCSettings.apk" from old 1.6 (attached to post).
Simply:
- copied apk to system/app
- changed permissions
- restarted the phone
Voila! Now theres no force close when trying to get in the messages settings.
Quick Edit: The SEMSSettings.apk from 2.1 also works great on that issue
You are the MAN!!! So many thanks!!!
As the title says, I'd like the phone to not emit any sound when the charging process completes and the battery gets back to 100%.
I can't seem to find any option to disable the sound notification...
Thanks everyone,
TD
Same has been discussed more than once.
Not possible without rooting. If rooted, download and install Root Explorer or something and the path is,
system/media/audio/UI/Tw_Low_Battery.ogg, change it to Tw_low_Battery.ogg.bak. If you want it back sometime then just remove the .bak extension.
Regards.

Not quite true. As a workaround, I used EasyProfiles to create a night profile that, amongst other things, switched off all sound and vibrations for everything except phone calls and alarms. No more buzzing when the battery charge gets to 100%

Well it's certainly the best for me, couldn't suit you anyway
I really like how much my ringer volume has actually increased.
Just two qualms really;
I didn’t really want to get rid of the camera sound.
I also didn’t want to get rid of the touch sound (plays a sound when making a screen selection).
Can anyone help me get these two features back without actually removing the increased speaker volume?
I am new to Android so forgive me for being dumb.
I downloaded the 63_sound_mod_update.zip from the following website and installed it via ClockworkMod (CWM):
http://www.jayceooi.com/2012/06/24/how-to-increase-samsung-galaxy-s3-speaker-volume-to-maximum/
If anyone can help me out, I will be very grateful to you
Thank you in advance.

Thread moved to Q & A section, post in the relevant section next time.
Hi there. I am having, what seems like, loads of problems with my phone at the minute!! Now apart from my other problems which I have (in my other thread, if you can help?) I have/had a photo that was on my home & lock screen but somehow managed to delete it from my home screen?? It is however still on my lock screen! Now where is the location of this photo? I cannot find it anywhere on my phone (gallery or in files?) it is not saved on my Dropbox either? I do not know if TB as backed it up or not? I need to restore my phone because of the other problems I have but I don't want to lose this photo, so I cannot restore my phone! Can anyone help me please as it is a photo of my two little boys? Where do I need to look, for the file?
Thanks in advance
Jay
Anyone know what I can do please?
Thanks.

1. Take a screenshot in your lockscreen. ( Power Button + Home Button )
2. Cut the unwanted parts.
3. Done
:highfive:
Good News
The good news is I have managed to find my photo!!! I had backed it up via Kies quite a while back on my old computer then backed up my old pc up onto an external hard drive! So after loads of searching I managed to find the file & reinstalled Kies on to my new pc. I now have my photo back!
The moral of this story has got to be #back up your photos# you just never know what can happen? I still don't know how I managed to lose this particular photo????
A very happy
Jay
