What rom is this? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33qYvy6IRkU
I stumbled upon this video and I was wondering what kind of Rom this person is using.
anyone recognize this? I'm using stock rom and haven't tried any yet so I have no idea.

Well, this could be also simply a modded stock ROM. The icons he's using are jaguaralani's glass balls, the clock you can find also somewhere here in the app-section.

system freezes when accessing Gallery?

I've been experiencing this problem ever since I've had the phone. More often than not, accessing the Gallery will cause the system to freeze and I have to take out the battery to reboot. I applied the OCLF and it seemed to help for a little while, now this phone is back to it's old tricks. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something I can do to fix it? I'm running stock btw.
I personally have not seen anyone else post that issue. I had an issue before when pics would not show because Media Scanner was not running... the roms I am on lately seem to resolve that though (back then when I had the issue I used an app in the market to scan my media and then the pics would show).
You say stock, do you mean stock JI6... as in you have done nothing to the phone?
Maybe not an option, but why not try a custom rom and see if that fixes the issue... if it does not, unroot and tell Samsung what's wrong and get a replacement.
I usually hate when people mention getting replacements, but you sound like you have a legit problem and not trying to work the system.

yes, this is a common issue on stock 2.1.1 firmware right now, happened to me constantly, when it does this someone told me that when you open gallery, theres a memory leak bug which opens and then phone can't handle so it freezes.
Flash a custom ROM, i use axura 2.1, so far its been the fastest, most stable for me.
idk if this will work but ask for a gallery.apk from different roms where the leak has been fixed, and then try that, or just flash a new rOM.

i had this problem when i just wantes to use stock with root. this is actually common problem with ji6 roms that still use the stock gallery apk.for some reason the stock gallery in ji6 always tends to lock up.there's a fixed version of the apk floating around somewhere.
I had this same problem with JI6, but it went away when I updated to the leaked JK6. This or any recent custom rom should fix the problem for you.

As i said its a memory leak bug, which has been fixed, you should either get a different gallery.apk from newer roms, or get a new rom.
I suggest a newer rom, but its up to you.
If you are running JI6, then this is a common problem for many people.
i had the same problem with my first and second vibrant, i updated to jk6 on number 2 and it went away.
can anyone post the apk to fix this????
Also interested in a the new Gallery .apk.... probably would have to push it using adb? I'm probably just gonna jump right on JL5 tonight.

Weird colors after flashing.. 256bit ? :(

I've had alot of different roms over the past few weeks and not a single problem.. CM 7.1, Batista, etc etc.. but now after trying to flash a stock rom since I wanted to go back to normal, anything I flash from now on get's the whole phone into 256 color mode or something. It's really annoying as everything is just plain ugly, even the background/icons all over.
What could one do to fix this you think ?
Searched a while but didn't find anything about it, not even google.
Can probably add what I've tried so far..
Flashing Siyah Kernel - No success
Wiping cache/factory/data etc etc.... - No success
Flashing random roms to try and see if it works when wiped and new rom.. - No success..
Take a picture of it please.
On my way home now. Will take a pix at once I'm home.

You can see it mostly on dark surfaces, and on "transitions".. even on camera pics. Just seems to be a weird contrast or something like that, everything is like more grey then usual aswell, even the battery picture when charger is connected and you have it turned off.
Have you tried connecting with Kies for a firmware update?
I had the same problem as you I think, cant really tell from the picture but once I updated with kies and rebooted all was fine again.
Fixed it by flashing a couple of kernals and stock roms from the original roms thread by Intratech.
YAY! =)
And after a simple reboot it's back. Hmm.

Uninstall Kies, and delete the samsung folders in appdata/local and appdata/roaming in your user directory.
Reboot and install again.
I assume you use windows 7 or vista. Not sure about XP, been a while since I used it.
I have exactly the same problem on my galaxy s2.
It happened to me after I installed batista70's ROM on my phone..
Whatever I do now, I tried 4 different stock roms, there's still heavy color banding and it looks like the display has got a lower resolution...
For example in the microbes live wallpaper the microbes are bigger and the black background has got some grey tones that do not blend in very well but are like banded.
Maybe you installed chainfire3d and ticked reduce texture quality..

It happened after installing stockrom+kernel, so no.
Did anyone find a solution for this?
It seems I have the same problem and it won't go away, no matter what I flash.
Seems like it's related to Samsung's mDNIe image processing engine.
I flashed cyanogenmod and fiddled around with the mDNIe settings, a few reboots and it seems to be fixed!
Weird that these settings seem to be carried across between roms, including full factory resets, wipe everything in recovery and flashing factory roms. I wonder where they hide to avoid getting reset??
Same for me after flashing founded on internet stock Orange rom GT-I9100_IDE_I9100BVKE2_I9100BVKE2_I9100IDEKE2. After that I had MIUI ics, and now Vanila rom, but this ****ty colours remained.
Voodoo Screen Tuning app is some sort of solution, but settings are not saved in the system and after reboot they are lost. (for me native SM2 A2 line looks like originals colors)
I say poop! Seriously, it happened to me too and did exactly what you guys did with the stock rom. I guess I will fiddle around with the CM too. Do you remember which settings you changed?
Yesterday I flashed official rom DXKL3 from here and colours finally are fixed.
Same problem after screen replacement.
Fixed by flashing stock DXKL3 as stated above.

Adobe Flash issue - Saurom 3/22

I would like to pre apologize in case I failed to find the answer by searching. First post. Pretty savvy. So hello everyone.
Ok so Adobe flash does not work through either the Android browser or Dolphin browser. I have the latest Saurom with the transfusion theme. Flash didn't work before I installed the theme. Java is enabled. I suspect this is a known issue. It's not a big deal if it will be added in a future update, I just want to know if its just me. I enjoy using my mhl adapter and watching some south park...
Also, I have a white flip case. Won't it eventually get dirty? Is there a way to clean it?

No need to make a new thread, there is a thread just for Saurom in this section. But it works for me. Did you restore Flash from TiBu? If so, uninstall\reinstall from the market. Even if you didn't restore from TiBu, try uninstall\reisntall it.
Yes I did install from titanium. I won't abbreviate. Thanks! Simple fix... It worked.

Does anyone have the APP Radio 2?

This is kind of a shot in the dark but does anyone have the app radio 2 in there cars? I just flashed liquid RC2 (which is awesome) and my phone freezes when i start the arliberator app. I had to battery pull multiple times, in order to use the phone again. There wasn't issues like this with TW roms, but then this is my first aosp rom i tried to use with the app radio 2.
I would really like to move to aosp, but if my phone only works with TW roms it won't happen.
I'll try contacting the arliberator developer too.
any insight would be appreciated. thanks.

[Q] Queries regarding camera issues

Hello everyone,
I have tried looking around the XDA forums regarding my issue but my case seems a bit unique and so I haven't really seen any threads that solved my problem.
I have always stuck with AOSP and AOKP roms solely for their customisation capabilities and quick updates. Only gripe I have with these is just the poor battery life, which is why I went back to using a sammy rom.
Specifically, when I use a 4.3 stock sammy rom (i.e. I was using Indie's Omega Rom when this first happened), after I record a video in instagram and try to upload it, the app crashes. I can get to the page just before the caption page and the app crashes. This isn't just specific to the Omega Rom but all 4.3 stock roms I have tried, so I'm thinking that this isn't a rom-specific issue maybe..? But it might be something to do with the camera itself?
I have tried wiping the dalvik cache, fixing permissions, and even formatting my whole phone - both internal and external storages, so I'm not sure what might be the problem. Which is why I hope someone can help me out
I have seen some threads which have said it might be an issue with changing some camera settings but I haven't touched these so that shouldn't be an issue.
On a side note, another issue I've noticed with the 4.3 stock roms is that apps such as LMT don't work even though they are running in the background and I receive toast notifications about them having root access and all. Not sure if this is related, or something else completely.
I thank you for taking the time to read this, and really hope I can get some help regarding this isue.
Regards.
having the same issue here on s3...... on mk6 4.3 rom. has also happened to me across CM11 and cm10.2 and s4 revolution rom.
anyone know what i can try?
