HI,

My HD2 doesn't comes with Navipanel or Copilot cause telstra choose to..
However, I have managed to download the Copilot 8 , in its instruction it says me to to just copy "Copilot" folder onto root of my storage, but after doing so, how do i get it work.
Also do you know any better or stable GPS for Telstra HD2 that works well offline...

Help - Calling anyone who uses a TomTom Go 910/710/510 with their Hermes

I have a TomTom Go 910 and an M3100 running WM6.
I have been using the hands-free BT connection with no problem.
However, I recently tried to set up a data connection to access TomTom Plus services through the phone over BT, and the setup routine fails every time. (I have no problem connecting to the internet over WAP from the phone in general).
Of course, TomTom support refuse to help, telling me that the phone is not supported for the 910. According to them I should not even be able to use the hands-free feature...
Before I go spending hours trying different ROMs and BT stacks etc., does anyone out there have the same setup (even with a 710 or 510) and got it to work? (No point wasting time if they are simply not compatible and no one has actually got it to work).
Thanks for your help
My very basic guess is that you need to use the Internet Connection Sharing program on windows mobile, as just paring the devices won't do anything.
So I guess I fire ICS up and and choose Bluetooth PAN and then try to see if TomTom sees it.?
I'll try tonight and report back.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Let us know how it goes. But isn't WM6 lacking either PAN or DUN that's required to establish the connection?
No luck using ICS

Well, I tried it... no luck. TomTom still insists on going through a DUN setup routine (entering access point, GPRS dial-up number, etc.) and promptly fails both with automatic and manual setup. It does not detect the PAN already running with ICS connected.
I wonder if DUN can be ported back to WM6 with CABs from WM5?
Any other ideas?

WM6 upgrade made my data connection drop... Provider: Rogers Wireless

Phone: Htc TyTN
Basically I upgraded, and everything went well, using radio 1.43 and vp3g's wm6 rom...
Phone works very well compared to the previous 1.2x radio and now it shows "Edge" in the connection instead of "G" like it did previously...
The only problem I have is my wireless data connection no longer works...
I have 3 other TyTN's that are setup with the factory default configuration, so if data is required from them in order to setup the new one, it can be attained.
I have noticed that while using vxutil on both the new rom and the factory one, the "cellular line" modem adapter entry looks fine, all ip's are good, but there is a second one on the wm6 device, it says "cellular line 2" and this does not exist on the factory unit.
Also using the vxutil "get hmtl" function on the wm6 device works fine, it will successfully retrieve html, but when I try to browse with IE it does not work and hangs on "locating...".
Any suggestions?
Possible solution
Go to Start - Settings - Click connections in Connections tab
Create a new connection under My Work network as per instructions from ur service provider
Saved Connection ? OK!
Click on Connections again - There would be 2 tabs - Tasks and Advanced
Click advanced
Click "Select Network"
Check both the network selected are "MY WORK NETWORK"
OK
Soft Reset ur device
and u r done!!
Good Luck
Jaggi
nope, still the same problem...
I tried exporting the registry settings for the connection manager from the working TyTN to mine and it wouldn't even connect to its voice service after!
;0
I'm sure there are some specific settings in there that need to be changed (hklm\comm\comnnmgr\providers ??), I noticed that alot of the settings are for cingular...
I've got the same problem. i'm with t-mobile uk. any advice welcomed.

found out what it was!!
I had used the first rom I came across, the vp3g with the cingular extended rom!! doh.
I just installed pro_black_3.0.1 and the newest radio 1.4.7, setup my connection as per my provider's suggetsion, and everything works 100%!!
i get 2900kbps when i'm on 3g and about 140kbps on edge, call quality is pristine and the time to live on a call is instant compared to my 1.3x radio!
highly recommended for anybody on rogers using a TyTN!! (rogers is starting to retail it now for 299$ with a contract!!)
[continued...]
1) back up everything using PPCPimBackup or similar
2) upgrade the bootloader to hard-spl-v7
3) upgrade your Radio ROM to 1.47.00.10
4) upgrade your System ROM to pro_Black_3.0.1
5) setup your rogers wireless internet connection:
cellular 3g, gprs
access point: internet.com
username: wapuser1
password: wap
6) re-run pimbackup and restore your contacts/schedule/emails/etc
7) laugh at others who are still using the rogers wm5 build from mid 2006 and the 1.3x radio that came with it.

lol, no everything works fine.
1.48
Actually- Radio Rom 1.48 works very well- I've been using it for a few days now. Good battery life (I recommend using a comm-manager or data app to kill HSDPA during idle standby because it does make it run out faster)
1.48 really grabs a signal and holds it- good voice quality too.
But- truth be told- 1.42 that came with it was probably just as good....
If your phone was hanging on Locating and you were using the VP3G ROM, you probably didn't disable the proxy.
VP3G cooks ROMs for AT&T use and AT&T use a proxy to connect to the internet. Rogers does not.
Theres a simple program in Programs/Proxy Manager just run it once and presto.... proxy gone and wifi as well as Rogers works fine.
Its well documented in the wiki as well.
I've used the Black ROMs and the VP3G V3 is far superior in speed and stability. Black has lots of bling but seems far to experimental for serious use.

Rogers branded Hermes200 upgrade issue...

Hello all,
Well stupid me decided to upgrade my Rogers branded Hermes200 (TtYN) to wm6 without knowing everything I needed to. Installed HardSPL and then the HK English rom.
Phone portion works great
After searching and reading, I found the settings for connecting to the Internet for Rogers. Great.
Tried setting up active synce and it gave me the certificate not vailid error.... installed the cert on the new rom and with the h200 hooked up via usb to the computer it syncs up with my exchange server perfectly.
When I disconnect from the PC, direct push stops working....
When I force a send/receive.... it sits at 'connecting...' for a few minutes and if I'm lucking enough to be watching, it comes back with a 'connection error' message on the status bar before it flips back to number of messages in the inbox display...
The one BIG thing (not sure if it is big) is with the original ROM I'd get a 3G connection with serfing the net, doing data transfers, now I get an H connection, not sure if that is the issue, but it is the only thing I can see right now....
Any suggestions?

I can't really comment on the others, but your H vs. 3G issue isn't an issue at all. The fact that your device shows H just means that you have access to Rogers' new Vision network (HSPDA). Cooked ROMs use an H to differentiate HSDPA (3.5 generations technology, faster) from the 3G for UMTS (3rd generation technology, fast but not the fastest). Because HSPDA is an enhancement of UMTS and is built on top of it, a lot of Windows Mobile 5 ROMS (like the stock Rogers ROM) don't differentiate the fact that it's an HSDPA connection, even though it is, and just show a generic "3G". So... rest assured, the H thing is not a bad thing.

Need Help with Slingplayer Mobile and X7501

My Slingplayer stopped working on my X7501 a few months back. I get an error message saying, "cannot connect, check your connection settings". All the HTC, AT&T, and Slingmedia peeps can't put my Slingplayer back together again.
I've tried reloading new and old versions to only get it to work for a few minutes. After that it's back to the same error message. The X7501 is now off Sling's compatible list too. Any advice is appreciated and by the way Slingplayer mobile is working on my other phones just fine.
Maybe the proxy?
Just a wag here, but I had a problem that recently started when connecting to Sirius through AT&T's MediaNet using Addie, my X7501. I could connect fine using my home network over wifi, so I figured it was something with AT&T. I found that the AT&T proxy was turned on, so I turned it off as a test. Whew, that allowed me to connect to Sirius fine with MediaNet, and it hasn't impacted anything else I've tried to use on the 'Net (such as Resco Radio, di.fm mobile, YouTube streaming). Maybe AT&T changed their proxy configs or something.....

Floyd --> HTC Advantage X7501 -- AP 4.0 Platinum, Radio 1.58
((WOW! What a difference from the original ROM and radio!!))
Addie's got a 16G SD card full of Rhapsody and ripped music, and a hard drive
full of movies and TV shows from my TiVos and DVD Catalyst 3 (to keep me
entertained all the time -- when I'm not doing my homework, that is!)
Thanks
I agree and this is what I did.
settings/connections/connections then edit your existing connection , then proxy settings and UNCHECK the second option that wants you to use internet via proxy server. (This should work on the HTC Fuze,Diamond, and Touch Pro/Rapheal too) Most likely a windows mobile 6 thing, IMO.
Now it works fine! Funny the people that make these products can't tell you how to fix them to work. Thanks to all the brilliant minds here, some of us can enjoy these things w/o headaches.
