do you have the media.zip folder unzipped on your SD card? Have you gone into call settings to make sure you have a ring tone selected and that the phone is not on vibrate or silent mode?

Mabilo Ringtones...

so I used Mabilo to download ringtones and notification sounds, now mabilo has options to set such ringtones as Set As, default or contact, etc. the problem is though that I have to go through the app to do it i want to be able to do it from the settings menu. is there anything specific that I should do? so i have to make a specifi folder to deferrentiate between the notifications and actual ringtones? what do i do?
I think you can take any sound as long as its in .ogg format and push it to the system/media/audio/ringtones folder using adb. I used Android Commander to push the ringtones from Euegen's froyo rom to the Fusion rom I'm running right now.

Problem with imported Ringtones

Hi eveyone.
I've recently had a problem with the custom imported ringtones in my RAZR. I copied a .mp3 file in my sdcard and then the phone automatically indexed it in the ringtones database. (settings/sounds/phone ringtones). The ringtone was successfully changed then.
The problem is, while rebooting the phone, the selection was somehow undone; i.e. another ringtone was being played during an incoming call. A ringtone which was not even indexed in the list of ringtones!
I used root explorer to move my custom ringtone to the phone's original ringtone folder (system/media/audio/ringtones) and then rebooted my device and it works fine at the moment. But the question is, why the first approach was failed after reboots?
Does anybody else have the same problem?
I make the same as you, weeks ago,
and want to kwnow why
I found a simple answer :
The you reboot the phone, or plug it to the computer,
the SD card (internal and external) desapears, ah the boot he take a moment to initialise
The razr check FIRST time if a custom ringtone are here, but the SD are not initialised, so, he don't find the ringtone...
Sounds correct. Thank you for sharing your opinion. However, it's a little bit odd.
Interesting. You could try putting the custom ringtone on your internal memory and see if that fixes it.
Let us know if you try it.
I guess it should work, considering the explanation XtremePower gave and the fact that the original ringtone folder is located on internal memory.

where is dial tone in stock ROM ? couldn't find it anywhere...

i tried /system/media/audio/ui , listened every file in that folder , i find one "TW_Touch.ogg" , soulds very much alike , but after replacement, still same sound in the dial panel (what i am talking about is dial tone, as you can hear clearly different between AOKP ROM and Stock ROM).
then i unzip the "secphone.apk" files, not in there ...
where else could it be ?
and there is another thing strange , i couldn't find dial tone in AOKP ROM as well ... both "phone.apk" and "/system/media/audio/ui"
just strange ...
ok , what i am trying to do it replace Stock ROM's dial tone with AOKP ROM's dial tone ... mission impossible ? think not , but i just don't have any more idea ...
little help please ...
little help please
The sounds for the dial tones are kept within the SecContacts.apk in a folder called "raw"
What is it you want to do?

[Q] Phone Stuck On Silent. GB236

Im having ringtone selector issues on my wife's Samsung Infuse, GB 2.3.6 /w root.
When I go to settings/sounds/phone ringtone I get a choice of Android System or ES File Manager. If I select Android System all I get is a silent radio button thats stuck on green with no other options. If I choose ES File Manager I can point it to my ringtone folder but none of my selections stick. Its like the systems app thats used to select ringtones is gone.
Update: I did manage to get some kind of default ringtone/notification by installing, "Tone Picker." It picked an unknown ringtone/notification for me. Still, I'm unable to select the ringtone or notification I want.

Disable Camera shutter Sound

Hi,
I have a LG G4 (H815) with Android 7, TWRP Root and Xposed.
I dont want the Sound when you take a Picture. There will never be a Time when I need that fuc*** Sound.
First i tried to Rename the Files in System->Media-> Audio-> ui to Xcamera_click.ogg.bak Reboot- Sound still there
Then i changed all Files with Cam or Video in the Title the same way- Reboot- Sound still there
Then I created a new 2seconds of pure Silent .ogg File and deleted the old an placed the Silent ones of all relevant Sound Files there. Reboot
The replaced Autofocus Sound is silent. But there is still a Camera and a Video Start Sound.
The Files in System->Media-> Audio-> ui are the correct Silent ones.
Is there another Location where the Sound is stored?
Nobody Knows?
do a grep on extracted system folder with the file name , this may help you
