I've been using the setup in my sig for the past two days with no issues. Off my stock 16GB Class 2 card mind you.
Are you running a custom ROM? What Radio are you using?
PS this should be in GENERAL.

Kumar's TMOUS C5 Premium and Radio: 2.08.50.08_2

man this is surprising that the topic hasnt been moved yet to Q and A where it belongs
and to answer the question, all of them are fairly stable, but none at 100% yet. only time will fix that

This is my setup with no freeze and about 5 to 6 hours of use:
HD2 Android: Clay's SuperHD2 V1.2
WM ROM: EneryROM (with no other setup or software install).
SD Card: Transend 4GB MicroSDHC Class 4 (with only Android stuff and my so of my music)
What I do on HD2 with Android:
-Music
-E-Mail (POP and Exchange)
-Pictures
-Internet
-YouTube
-Calls on phone and over Bluetooth
-Google Nav
-XDA App
I am happy with it, but I will be happier if I can get HTC Sense UI on my phone with the same speed and stability. I have try other Android with HTC Sense UI, but get alot of freeze coming out from sleep mode.
Hope this help and have fun.

try to change your WM ROM and Radio
my combination:
Chucky Droid ROM
Radio 2.12.50.2_2
Bangster FRG33 1.3b
run on my class 2 card but very stable and no issue yet.

I have a question:
I use mdeejay_froyo_sense_v2.1_ppp, radio 2_10_50_08_2 and stock norwegian 1.66 ROM, and everything seems to run just fine (had it for several days now)
So, then I wonder why it's recommended to use a custom rom? Do the android build have any to do with what wm rom you use? Or maybe things runs so smooth for me because i'm using a class 4 card?

Use mattc 1.7 with gscript, omg fast and stable Rom! Was more stable than bangsters on my phone.. and with sense! Been using for 1 week with no freezes AT ALL, amazing. And its really fast. I don't do set CPU or battery trick at all. And its rocking my phone

Finding the best WinMo-Droid ROM combination for your HD2 will be a process of trial and error. Personally, I'm using:
WinMo ROM: Chucky's GTX Tabtastic
Radio: 2.12.50.02_2
Android ROM: Hyperdroid 1.5 (latest)
So far, everything is perfect but this applies only to my phone. Yours could be a completely different thing

It figures a sox fan would open such an unnecessary and redundant thread in the wrong area.
And just so this post isn't completely inflammatory:
I like and use bangsters 1.3b.

LETS GO YANKEES!!!!!!!
Bangsters 1.3b all the way
Chuckydroid windows mobile Tom
2.12.50 radio
DAMN SOX FANS! LOL

Comparison of Athena Roms: Experiences

There are so many Athena roms that it can be a little daunting trying to figure out which ones to try. Although the surest way to know the rom that is best for you is to try it out, it would be helpful to the community to get some feedback on how the different roms compare from those that have tried them out.
I myself have stuck with Irus' Ultra Vanilla because of its great speed and stability but am curious if there are other roms that equal its speed and stability.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences.
Thanks,
A.
I am using sogarth base rom now, with some tweaks.
Net CF3.5 installed (modaco cab suite), Diamond tweaks for speed, disabled HTCSENSOR (ATHENA) and GSEN installed, moblue and jetware extension to solve ANY BT problem. Wtask to improve the task control, much better than HTC Xbutton
I am using it in 192 DPI, easy to use with fingers (first time in my Athena owner life I've lost my stylus, because I used somewhere, not needed for 2 days and discovered it missed too late )
Opera, IE and the VGA applications are working fine Tom Tom is fast, NO HANGUPS at all!
The fastest GPS Fix ever seen in my ATHENA. Radio 1.58 , I have to test if it works but this ROM support HSDPA AND HSUPA
I tested all the ROMs here, excepted latest Michyprima and Irus/Sogarth Vanilla.
TO me the answer is simple: I can't live without rotations sensor, FAST now, faster than Diamond and rotate only when and what needed. Face down screen off means longer battery life.
The choice is Sogarth base or Sogarth/Irus Vanilla? I am happy now with base..

you'll need a registry editor...
and do the this: This is where I went and changed from "1" to "0": HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCSensor\GSensor\DeviceAvailabi lity=0
softreset your phone then install GSen, run it and you're all good to go.
to get the screen off when you turn down your phone: in GSen CFG at the bottom line "#fdscreenoff(0)", change the "0" to "1" save it and turn your phone down and see if the screen turns off.

That is such a true statement, I reverted back to the Sogarth base too because I like the rotate and some of the other programs that were removed in the vanilla. I also installed the .net 3.5 and just like Lennie I am also using radio 1.57
The only ROM that I have not tried is the AP4, AP5, and the MiChY 1.60 ROM.
I loved the Sogarth/irus base ROM, but the vanilla is even better. Everything removed can be put back to get back the base ROM but why take in stuffs that you'll never ever use? The less bloated it is, the faster the ROM will run. Takes less time to backup and restore are among the other benefits. I'm now trying out the 0 page pool version. I love it just as much.
This is also the only ROM that let's me put in my own splash screen for the soft reset. Irus has removed the animate.gif file and the associated sound. So if I like it the way it is in the base ROM, I simply copy them back from the extra folder. If I want to change it, simply design my own and give them the same file names and copy to the windows directory.
This is letting me to be the cook without having to learn how to cook!

question about net cf 3.5. Did you successfully install it with Sogarth vanilla rom? I am getting error message of not enough storage room. When reading at Modaco site, error seems to occur when an active process blocks the installation. I am not seeing anything in Sogarth vanilla rom that is creating a blockage. Any advice? Thanks!
I just saw that net cf 3.5 is in vanilla rom. Never mind...
Eaglesteve,
I just tried the Sogarth/Irus vanilla but found that it was sluggish when compared to Irus' Ultra Vanilla and so I have now returned to that one. Is there any other reason besides the speed that I should consider giving Sogarth/Irus vanilla another run (I am not particularly interested in the auto screen rotate)?
Thanks,

I'm surprised with your finding regarding speed because I had the opposite experience. I had found the irus ultra vanilla sluggish, that's why I did'nt use it.
Besides speed, the Sogarth Vanilla is of newer built. It's not just having auto totate. Many programs look and work in improved manner. Example is the contact application. The vanilla also is the least bloated, as irus has removed almost every non core applications, but let you put them back should you choose to do so. That's why its faster I guess. Backup and restore for example is faster. Lastly, it is also more stable, with almost no bugs.
apap, I would recommend trying irus's 0MB page pool version. To me it seems quite a bit speedier than the sogarth/irus rom, right there on par with the ultra vanilla IMO.
I am currently using the sograth/irus base 6.1 rom with radio 1.58.00 and I am very happy with the performance/stability. (No tweaks currently).
Cheers

how is this rom compared to tom's 2.06 (tf3d 2.1) rom?
for me tom's 2.06 is the best from regular (not m2.5) roms, everything works good, very stable, pretty fast and no bugs at all.
the main difference is 2.06 vs 2.08, this can be felt in some way?
anyone tried them both & can compare?
10x.

I've tried both. I like Tom's ROM and used it for some time but the Facebook integration always caused Touchflo to restart for me, this doesn't happen on Dutty's.
Therefore I prefer Dutty's Had no crashes, very stable and a few other tweaks I like.
Downside is having to add a lot of CAB's to get the look that I want but this is down to a. my personal preference and b. my inability to make things myself!
Hi do anybody know how to change to 3 rows instead of 4 rows for dutty rom? Tried tom's cab but it doesn't work. Screw up the start menu display.

On the other hand, installing a new keyboard is about the easiest thing you can do. Ezinput, FingerKeyboard or others...
Well worth it if you're otherwise happy with the ROM. I've never ever had a custom ROM that's been exactly the way I like it. But I don't complain about it, I fix it.
i would like to switch off "vibrate when keys are pressed", but i can't find the setting?!
some one please explain difference between MSVC and non MSVC versions
i tried to search but found its something with linux or c++ i don't know any of them how this difference seen to user?
all previous roms are with or without MSVC?
MSVC is Microsoft Voice Command (or Control ?) which gives you the abilty to operate your phone by voice commands.

Anyway how about Page rotation on this Rom?It's just for me or there is nothing like that ever there?
I don't like the new Acrobat reader, you can't view pages completely as full screen,I'm sure Dutty will take care of these few things pretty soon.
Is this bug with weak signal indication? I can see no more than 2 bars.
I read about similar problem with udK's Leo ROM. And there was problem with icons file, as I can remember.
With udK's R6 and Shadowlines 6.5 Stable there was no signal strength problems (radio the same).
And thanks for great ROM. I think, that you must name it R1, not R0. It is solid and fast.

OK, thanks. It works.
Hope, this fix will be included into new release.
I am on Tmobile and live in Lincolnshire, so have never enjoyued great signals. However, I genuinely think that this ROM is brilliant. I have yet to come across a bug.
If I'm being a picky arse, I would like the Wireless to be on demand, but this is being picky.
I think this ROM is very fast indeed and this mythical beast, 'dutty', has got a new fan...Excellent
I have been using udK's R6 before but now tried this one.
Good experience. The hotfix fixed the signalbar thing.
Don't like the File explorer ex version though.
The wifi seems to stay on all the time and does not automatically disconnect when not in use, even tough it is set up that way. Anyone got this too? Drains the battery pretty fast....
sms notification doesn't seem to work in stand by either...

Cutting Edge: The name says it all. It will have the latest releases and can be unstable.
Android Tech with Chinese Support: Same as Android Tech but, as name says, with Chinese support.

Cutting Edge: APN configuration at run time not working. (See post 3 for T-Mobile USA APN)
All versions: Call waiting screeching noise
All versions: FM Radio not working
All versions: Bluetooth does not always detect device. (Getting better with every build but still not reliable)
All versions: If you are having problems with capacitive lights, try this.

Let me make it clear, I am not a dev in the sense of Cyanogen or Paul OBrien. I am just a ROM cook/chef. I will try my best to keep this updated and fix as many issues as I can.

Im willing to try this but might i ask why you use the 800mv, from what i know is it lowers the radio voltage and makes the phone jump from edge to hsdpa networks way to often. I think this is user problem you are going to hear about often.
Please put HTC_CIME in it.
Thank you!

I think you should pack in one of Intersect Raven's stable AVS Builds like the 925 from 04/29/10. That seems to be one the best builds. Most of the .34rc6 kernels are still pretty unstable and gives some accelerated battery drain for most. Thanks for the ROM though!!!

I'm not big on the trackball wake. My phone pocket called and I got my ass chewed for two days after they overheard my conversation!

I think you should pack in one of Intersect Raven's stable AVS Builds like the 925 from 04/29/10. That seems to be one the best builds. Most of the .34rc6 kernels are still pretty unstable and gives some accelerated battery drain for most. Thanks for the ROM though!!!

but .34rc6/rc7 are way more responsive than .33 as my own test.

ALee's 6.5.X - Light ROM for the Titan / XV6800

Alee's HTC Titan/XV6800/Mogul ROM - Build 23569
Notes: Your phone must be unlocked. I use Olipro 2.40. You also have to have a GPS radio installed. I use version 3.42.50. Please read up on flashing roms for the Titan if this is your first time. I'm not responsible for you breaking/bricking/making your phone unusable. Use at your own risk!
I will include a Verizon ROM and a Carrierless ROM. Should work with DCD's carrier cabs, but I have no way to test. Please let me know if it works!
6.5.X ROM 23569 - Verizon - Updated 5/23/10

6.5.X ROM 23569 - No Carrier - Updated 5/23/10
http://www.4shared.com/file/pxK7WmZh/ALEE23569NCV2.html
This is a WM6.5 ROM for the Titan. I've started cooking a rom for this device because it seems like other ROMs don't update with new builds too often anymore. This 6.5 ROM is designed to be light and useable everyday.
It has 23MB of free RAM in low memory mode, and about 29MB of free RAM in high memory mode(no camera) while using ActiveSync. It runs stable and has 119MB free memory for programs/files.
In order to save memory and resources, some packages have been removed. This means that not all features are available or will not work with this ROM. If it's not included in the ROM, and somebody asks for the feature, I'll do my best to provide a method to install the features in the future.
This is a work in progress, and it's not for everybody. Some things just don't work, but the things that work run well.
I'm going to try to support this ROM as best as I can, but I'm not a pro at this. Alot of my work has been trial and error and reading through the forums to fix my mistakes. I will probably try to keep up with updates until January of 2011, where I'll be able to get a Touch Pro 2 with Verizon's new every two.
The ROM generated thanks to the PPCKitchen.org project. I think it's a great utility that helps a normal person like me cook a custom ROM. Feel free to give their utility a try if you want to cook your own ROM.
Additionally, thanks to all the developers who have publicly provided fixes/patches/updates/programs to the Titan world. Most are long gone and have moved on to better phones, but I wouldn't still be using my XV6800 without their work.

hi alex,
nice to know theres any update ROM for Mogul.
I'll try it
thanks
gonna test it out. Sounds good though. Thanks
New Version
Updated the ROM today. I cleaned up the Titanium registry entries and it seems to have made the Titanium screen snappier and smoother. I also put in some reg entries that are supposed to help the 6.5 memory leak issues. Seems to work well enough for now.
Calculator Replacement
Since you're already doing a Calculator Replacement, I'd submit that you consider using the program 'Eval' ( www .dl-c.com/PPC/ )
I've been using it for many years going back to pre-phone pdas and I think it works better then the built-in, and possibly better then the HTC version (though I can't guarantee that)
check it out and let me know what you think
souns good imma try it right now. is there a way you can build one with cricket arcsoft and wap built in if possible
Can't use WiFi
thanks for this rom! i really like it!
but just one problem which it cannot use wifi as before.
would you mind telling me how to solve this?
thank you very much!
@915Tibby.
I have no idea what cricket is, but if you send me a link to a thread with the files and some sort of instructions, I'll give it try.

Wifi works for me...can you describe where you run into problems when you try to connect?
hello everybody!
Im really new here so i was wondering....
Is there a reason I should be using this ROM instead of Ryan Mogul's WM6.5 light ROM? "forum.xda-developersdotcom /showthread.php?t=496982" (without the space, hyphens and switch the 'dot' with a period .)
Is this one better? Is this one more "up to date" and does it work better than Ryan Moguls WM6.5 light ROM?
THANKX!!!
I've never used Ryan's roms so I don't know what is better or not. It seems that rom is based on an older build of windows 6.5 where mine is built on the newest 6.5.5 build. The newer build has some graphical enhancements that are designed to be more finger friendly (larger buttons, start menu on bottom.)
Based on his include list, it seems like he includes more things in his ROM. I cooked my rom based on having the bare essentials and every user can install his own extras based on their preferences.
The best way to check is to try them both out and see which one is more appropriate for you.
hey i just flashed your verizon rom to my phone, and it didn't work.
Never mind! I got it working! GREAT ROM! THANX BUNCHES!!! Oh and btw, yours is much better than Mr. Ryan Moguls!
thanks for the reply

i am in China, but 23566 rom works very well for me,i mean wifi, everything.
thank you very much!
Thank you! One thing...
Thanks so much for doing this. I really appreciate getting some new life into an old device, it feels like cheating! Anyway, I have one minor nitpick. I'm a GNU/Linux user, and had trouble opening the archive because .rar is a proprietary format. Would you consider using a zip archive next time? Thanks again!
I will upload the ROM as a zip next time.

[BUILD][DISCONTINUED][FroyoStone Sense - V3.2][Kernel: linux_on_wince_htc 2.6.32.15]

Hi everyone, I'd like to let everyone know that I will no longer be updating my builds.
This is mainly due to the lack of time and that I have a lot of work for university to do.
I'd like to thank everyone who donated to me, I have sent an email to each and every one of you
I'd like to thank everyone who supported me throughout the last few months and I'd like to thank everyone at #htc-linux & #htc-linux-chat for their help and for being awsome!
Once again, many thanks!
WELCOME! This is the FroyoStone series!
WARNING:
If you post in this thread knowing fine well that this is a HTC Sense build and you complain about sense anyway, then I will ignore your post completely.
If you want to update the kernel, I would recommend kernel builds by hastarin which has tweaks. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787588
If you have music stuttering, use this fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811248
If you have issues with data/PPP, look here for support: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794309
The problem is due to the combination of the EVO kernel and stagefright.
Readme:
HTC Desire Sense build (FroyoSense V3.2) (Based on stock, no modification apart from camera app and superusers app) for HTC HD2 by darkstone:
My goal is to make a build that is close to stock as possible, but also has everything working. I'm getting there
Everything should be working, should be fast. Very fast.
Changelog for V3.2:
Fixed PPP disconnects (updated lib_htcril_wrapper)
Added more APN's (T-Mobile users, I'm looking at you for cluttering up my thread )
Updated kernel to latest EVO commit as of 17-Oct-2010 00:44 from here: http://oe.netripper.com/files/htcleo_autobuild_evo_tree/
Re-enabled Stagefright for videos.
Some performance tweaks.
Camera flash now work correctly, this is fixed in the kernel.
If you are already using FroyoStone v3.1, you can upgrade to v3.2 easily, all you need to do is overwrite the system.ext2 and the zImage files on your SD card with the ones in this update. DO NOT REPLACE THE DATA.IMG IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING USER AND WANT TO KEEP YOUR FILES.
Included 1GB data.img by default, saves time waiting for your phone to create a 1GB data.img. Delete the included one if you want, the phone will create a new one.
If this is your first time running FroyoStone, you will need to reboot after completing setup for the first time. Users upgrading to v3.2 do not need to do this.
Notes:
A popup may show after taking a picture with the camera, this is normal. If you want to avoid seeing this, change the camera settings for Review Duration from 5seconds to off.
Cam is limited to 3mpx, partly due to the kernel and also the camera apk. I need to speak to AdamG and see how he fixed this when he ported Sense camera to Nexus One. IIRC he modified the HTCCamera.apk file.
720p video recording does not work, seems like H264 encoding is fudged. H263 seems fine, record fine at 800x480 resolution.
Wifi hotspot app is working fine
Make sure to reboot after first boot, apps needing root access won't work. Phone calls will have no audio. Make sure you reboot!
// Creates a 1GB data.img if there is no data.img present. I have included a clean 1GB data.img for a quick first boot.
// Don't worry about FB console not showing, that's normal
// Copy the Android folder and the media folder to the root of your SD card so that you have two folders on your SD card, run CLRCAD.EXE and haret.exe on your HD2
Kernel Tree: http://www.gitorious.com/linux-on-wince-htc/linux_on_wince_htc
Just want to point out that the HTC Desire is closest in terms of hardware to our HD2, that's why I prefer cooking a Desire build and that's why I will always choose Desire based builds over EVO and Desire HD builds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Changelog for V3.1:
Fixes youtube green line/video quality issue
Ringtones/alarm sounds included by default, no need to download media.zip
Theme removed, using stock rom with no customizations
GScript removed, no need for it now, no touchscreen freeze
Switched to EVO kernel tree
Dropped FroyoStone Clean, there is no need for it anymore. Just use LauncherPro if you want stock-like home screen
Speed increase
Removed powersave on screen off feature
PPP only, no RMNET for data
Changelog for V2:
- Theme changed, more transparency
- Now creates 1 GB data.img
- PPP is now being used.
- Fixed APN/Sim card changed error.
- Using interactive cpu governor
- Capped CPU scale between 768mhz at the maximum and 245mhz and the minimum by default, use SETCPU to uncap this speed if you wish to benchmark.
- Powersave governor @ 245mhz used by default when screen is turned off.
- Bluetooth Headset now fully supported in calls.
- GPU performance tweaked, games and HTC Sense now run at a higher FPS. Check in NeoCore for difference in FPS between builds.
- Added a Stop G-Sensor and Start G-Sensor to GScriptLite program. Stop G-Sensor to avoid touchscreen freeze when not using the G-Sensor. Start G-Sensor when it is needed.
