[Q] Microsoft MyPhone not syncing on WiFi - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Fellas'
I have HD2, and Microsoft MyPhone is a great application
However, whenever I try to synchronize it after connecting to my home wireless, it still tries to connect it through the mobile operator's network (very expensive).
Is there a setting that I am overlooking?

nPOP mail checks

I have my cabel modem provider inbox setup on my SX56 currently though nPOP. The thing I do not know how to figure out is how the bugger is connecting to the mail server without prompting or indicating its connected via GPRS. I know the SX56 does not have bluetooth, but does it connect perhaps to my wireless network to get the mail?? Is there a way that if this is how its connecting, to surf the internet while in my house using that wireless networking interface??
ANYTHING would be appreciated.
CALEB
Maybe I don't understand the question clearly. If your PDA is connected to your desktop PC via ActiveSync, your PDA "can see" the Internet.
No, i mean, when i have it disconnected from the internet, nPOP can actually connect to the email server without a connection to the GPRS line. Im just stumped as to how that is possible. I dont know if it already grabs the mail from when i hot sync, or it actually connects to the net through a wireless connection to the network....does the SX56 have 802.11b connection??
stumped still

If nPOP runs at the background, while you connected with activesync, and your desktop PC connected to the internet, it is possible to nPOP downloads e-mails.
SX56 is a Wallaby, that has not got a WLAN interface.

Windows live messenger connection

Hello!
I just installed my WM6 and i so happy everything works!!!
i want to know if some have the solution when for that
Windows live messenger en sign in, try to conect over GPRS, and i want to connect over wifi, the tip is turn off mobile and conect wifi and then sign in and conect the mobile
Any one have the solution for that?
Thanks
Nicolas
Regards
First turn on the WiFi, get it connected to an Access Point. Next start Windows Life Messager, it will turn on GPRS, while it is connecting to GPRS, select Cancel, Windows Life Message will continue and loggon with the WiFi connection.
I rather it does that instead of telling me that it couldn't find internect connection and stuck.

[Q] Some programs does not connect to internet

Hello, can you help me with following issue ? I have some kind of internet connection issue. Im still connect to 3G network. Internet is working great in Opera, IE, weather update.
But I cannot connect via my programs in start menu, for example Omarket, Marketplace, resco contact manager, even My Phone. I still get the message check your internet connection. Any idea ? Thank you very much.

Cannot connect to SkyDrive

Hi all!
My Titan cannot connect to SkyDrive from the Office hub, unless connected via USB to a PC, with Zune running on it.
I have tried resetting the phone, using different combinations of wired and wireless interfaces, settings, etc. I have even created a brand new Live ID and set my phone up with that. Nothing works. My device keeps telling me that it cannot connect, and that I need to check my Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. As for these, both Wi-Fi and cellular data are otherwise working fine, just as the other online services.
Notably, I am also unable use the "open in browser" option when trying to refresh the SkyDrive location in the office hub. The docs.live.com address keeps returning a connection error. This is ridiculous, as I can log into Hotmal and access my SkyDrive folders from there.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Virtual wifi hotspot stalls when using Titan

I have two laptops and one LAN connection. Say I connect the LAN to laptop-1. Then I use Mhotspot software to turn that laptop into a virtual wifi hotspot and connect laptop-2 to that hotspot. This way I have internet on both laptops without any additional router. I'm using this method for 7/8 months now.
The problems starts when I connect my HTC Titan to that hotspot. I can't access internet on Titan or Laptop-2, even though they're connected. As soon as I disable wifi on my Titan, internet on laptop-2 starts to work again. But it doesn't work the otherway, means if I disable wifi on laptop-2, Titan still doesn't work. Wifi signal from Titan somehow stalls the network. I'm almost certain because I have an android phone too (Galaxy S). I can connect the galaxy and laptop-2 at the same time and both works flawlessly. But whenever I start Titan, the virtual network stalls. Galaxy shows its connected but can't browse, Laptop-2 shows its connected but can't browse, Titan shows its connected but can't browse. Is it something to do with windows phone? Or I'm doing something wrong.
Note, the Titan is new but the Galaxy is old and the galaxy never created this problem. I tried to connect the Titan alone to the network, but obviously it also didn't work.
Thanks for any help. I don't want to buy a new router just for Titan :crying: :crying:
Update
I have somewhat narrowed down the problem. The networks actually stalls soon after I open the the marketplace or resume any app download. If I browse through mobile IE or use the facebook/email app it seems to work fine. But after opening Marketplace, the network stalls within minutes.
And another clarification, I do not use any sim with my phone yet. I'm still not sure I want to use Windows phone as my primary device yet. So 2G/3G + Wifi issues, pointed in other threads is not an issue here. I don't have sim, so no chance of cellular data to conflict with wifi. I would really appreciate some help here!
