I have recently acquired a Korean HD2 (carrier: SKT). I am looking to jump to a cutom, English-language ROM. Unfortunately, the current SPL on the phone is 1.66, and none of the stock ROMs that I've found will work with my carrier (SKT). Do I have any options? Preferrably any that don't involve a Gold Card...
Alternately, is there any other way to switch the phone to English?
I apologize if this has been asked, but I was unable to find anything through search, and it seemed to be a fairly idiosyncratic problem related to my carrier/region.

Hello all, please do not shoot me down, I am new to the windows phone and need a bit of advice!
I am about to take delivery of a qtek 2020i. I am somewhat concerned however how I get the updates to the rom to this phone, as most of the posts that I have read seem to mention a dutch site? - I am in the UK.
if anyone is able to spare a moment to explain how this works I would really appriciate it - would I be right in understanding that this is a alpine?
If so, can I use the WWE extended ROMS from the website to install the latest versions, or have I completely got the wrong end of the stick here?

hi guys, got a few questions on the Vario II
i've read that any ROM from the wiki page can be used on HTC Hermes of any kind (ie Herm 100/200/300)...but seeing that the Vario II lacks the video calling button by the front, will flashing a Dopod ROM onto it screw up the key layout? Has anyone on this forum actually flashed a different ROM onto a Vario 2?
Also, how risky is this flashing business? I've flashed motorolas b4, but my latest experiment - USB flashing of a Nokia BB5 - busted my phone and hence i'm kinda flash-o-phobic now
last but not least, can I still go thru T-Mobile to unlock my handset even though it was bought thru eBay?

I know the rom of samsung, I've customized one rom for my cell phone, but in HTC its diferent.
There is many roms with different name.
So,
what is :

I say that there is 3rom, nomaly, radio and extrom for use TyTn.
Can you explain me more about that.

This First one is the Radio ROM...Basically what tells the phone how to act in regards to 3g, UTMS and all those "Radio" Fucntions.
The Ext Rom is stuff installed by the careers and sometimes includes APPS and settings. Also you can load programs in it. I have some instruction on how to do this in the wizard but I am at work now. Search the wizard forums and you should be able to find it.

Could someons tell me where i can find an original rom version with SPL 1.42.00 in it.
I want to try to update my new HD2 (with SPL 1.66.000 on it) with an custom rom. Perhaps it will already asked many times, but i'm new at this forum and i don't no where to look. I have a dutch vodafone branded HD2.

I stumbled across this site while looking for some meaningful information about HD2 ROMs - I'm gobsmacked! This is a goldmine of brilliant stuff and generous attitudes - so I'm writing in the hope that someone can help me.
I had an HD2 which was without any doubt the best device I have ever had (or expect to have!) I bought it from a second-hand dealer, it was unlocked from UK Vodafone and worked just fine. It was stolen so I have sourced another which was supplied new and allegedly SIM Free. It turns out to have been destined for the Dutch market (has a Serial Number connected with Brightpoint in Holland) and the only official ROM upgrades I can get from HTC's site are on the Dutch pages which presumably means that my HD2 will then run with a Dutch language interface - not much use to me! I can't get any useful response from HTC support about whether I can use this ROM upgrade and have my phone in English.
So, can anyone enlighten me about this?
Having looked around this site for a while, I can see that there are several rather exciting looking ROMs for HD2 which might be better for me use anyway but I have no idea how to carry out all the various steps mentioned. I did a Vodafone ROM upgrade on my previous HD2 so I'm moderately familiar with the process but I can see references to "Task 29" and other items which don't mean anything to me -sorry for my ignorance, but one has to start somewhere!
If anyone has the time to help me I would be properly grateful!
