I flashed my HD 2 with Chukky and android 2.2 yesterday. Now the phone goes off and I cannot restart. I ll have to reflash. So, is there a better more stable android flash that is less problematic. I do not need it to be supper fast just stable.
Thanks

Hello!
Been using MIUI , but suddently i wanted to start taking some nice photos, and since the MIUI/CM Based roms have a terrible camera quality the only option is to flash a stock based rom.
Tried a couple last night (Revolution and Simply Stock) and both didn't work. (had bootloop when the phone was trying to do something with a partition and, aparently, i had not enough space on the partition). So i'm now looking for a stable one. Would love if there was a GB stable one, but can't seem to find any :\
Also tried to flash back to the stock (eclair i suppose), but couldn't connect to my wifi spot neither update it using kies :S
Any help here would be great
im using project. very stable. try it...
zendroid is very stable. Has best battery life, stability, and working features out there imo. No need for eclair(2.1!?), just find a 2.2 rom.(bionic, bi-winning, project).
Look around, as there are MANY users like you who have no need to put up with unpredictable and battery draining 2.3 roms.
you couldn't flash another rom because you HAVE to flash back to stock jfd when coming back from cm7 or miui
I don't think ROMS have such an effect on Camera Quality. Most of them will be cool. Go for Bionix thats good.
Ultimate rom is nuts.

Anyone can help?i would like to post at the westcrip's thread, but my point not enough
well the ics is still in beta stage till samsung launches new official firmware ...
i have tryed a lot of ICS roms, but i'm stil on GB because i need a stable phone for daily use.
I had this problem you just need to wipe the caches partition and dalvic. Then fix permissions.

It's great to read this, inthe future with this situations follow the advice of chr15j it's good to!
i did a few ICS roms as well but went back to GB, am now on >> PhonandroidRom v1.0- Siyah Kernel -Based MIUI. Pretty stable for me...
this is completely unrelated and i'm an absolute nooblet but I just need a quick answer. I have this rom on my phone but I want to unroot and go back to stock. Am I right in thinking I can just flash a stock samsung gingerbread rom onto the device just using odin and it will unroot it and be fine? Just want to check before I steam ahead and because this is an ICS rom.
Thanks guys.

Yes, you may need to go back to a suitable kernel also. Using Odin should be very easy.
hello
I tried all the roms remis since 8.5
i find remix 9.4 verry good .the main problem is about chainfire kernel which has to be more developped
for ICS roms, I don't find kernels like Siyah or nymphetamine which are good with GB
now we must wait a new version of XXLPH rom
I tried yesterday Remix 9.5 but too much bugs with CWM and I went back to R 9.4
I tried others roms than Remix (omega,Criskelo,CM9,Foxhound) ,I found Foxhound 0.3 good but still more buggy than R9.4 ( cannot synchronize contacts with outlook)
br46
SGS2 with remix 9.4
Well, not only the chainfire kernel has to be more developed, but also all the custom ones...
i especially miss a perfect working siyah and neak one on ics!
hoping the devs are on it already! ^^
Try :Resurrection Remix ics v1.0, it should be out any moment now.....
I have flashed the Resurrection Remix ROM ics and i have the latest siyah kernel. Well , when i want to play Temple Run it just freeze , and i have to take off the battery to restart the phone...
Any solution??
If you have moved it to sd card then try and reinstall it to device memory..probably that can help..

This should be a known problem for ICS. I do believe I read somewhere its due to the fact that the game isnt optimized for ICS. (Unity 3D engine doesnt support ICS yet)
Hmm kk , i hope it get fixed soon ):
Runs just fine on stock ics, but freezes on cm9. If that helps

Same here, running fine on Samsung Stock Rom LP7 (4.0.3), but often freezes with the curretly installed ICS 4.0.4. "Clean Blank ROM"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604366
I can play for a few minutes, then suddenly the screen freezes, sound is repeating and stuttering, then only a reset helps.
Annoying
Hope an update comes out soon.

Hi,
For the past while i was getting the SOD only using Siyah based kernels and Phenomenal was working fine for me, but after updating to version 6.1 my phone has started to switch off again. Is this a problem with hardware and do i need to send the phone away for repair or can it be fixed by myself some other way?
I have went back to Phenomenal 5,5 kernel and am waiting to see if i still get the problem.
Cheers.

Hello,
I have tried just about all the latest ICS and JB roms......
The make of your phone. There are many different variants of your device. I9100 G/M/P/T
Are you rooted/unrooted?
What rom you are using? -and- What kernel are you using?
Have you flashed any mods/scripts/themes?
Have you changed DPI? If yes, to what?
I have a UK T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II I9100XXLQ6
I am rooted
I was Dual Booting with SuperNexus JB Build 2 and Portal Rom 2.4 using the latest siyah kernel and i got the SOD using SuperNexus, i then removed The second rom and used the ultimate kernel cleaning script to remove Siyah and installed Phenomenal 6.1 with Portal Rom and i got the SOD a day later.
I am not using any mods or extra scripts
I have not changed the dpi
I noticed this problem when i first tried a dual boot a few months ago but has been stable until now only with Phenomenal 5.5. i have tried the other siyah based kernels and i still got the SOD.
Yesterday i flashed the Phenomenal 5.5 along with Portal rom and it's been fine so far but i can get 2-4 days before it happens then it happens a few times daily after the first SOD.
EDIT: Thats it switched off again. Think i will need to send it in for repair?
I've tried so many roms but none i've tried had better game performance than the old snow jb rom. Is there a kernal out there that will make the gameplay even smoother on snow jb 1.1? And is there a kitkat rom as smooth and solid as snow jb, but faster of course? Thanks.
I doubt any rom will ever be as stable and solid as stock. But most 4.4.2 roms outperform stock in many other ways. I'll take that back. When I was on stock I had sleep of death a few time a week. So yes I think some of the 4.4.2s are just as stable
I'm running houstonns pa 4.0 4.4.2 rom , pretty good on Dalvik , battery life not as good on ART
