I've install PocketMusic, but the button on the headphone(play,next song, etc.) won'work on Pocket Music! It only works on Windows Media Player!
Is thete any way to make the buttons on the headphone will work on Pocket Music?(reg. edit, etc?)
Also, can i change the player(wmp) in manila to Pocket Music?

The buttons on the front of the phone (under the external screen), control Windows Media Player by default.
I'm sure many users don't like the fact that pressing the play/pause button (which happens accidentally) turns on windows Media player and its music.
My question is, is there anyway I can stop the buttons from activating windows media player when pushed, or better yet, is there a way to define what the buttons do (so I can use them to control another program) ?

I would like to bring this thread back form the dead. I would also like to know about this.. The phone keeps playing music while I have it in my pocket because of these damn little buttons.

I had this problem too, 'till I told my StrTrk to lock the buttons when closing...

I just found this solution to successfully hook into both the external buttons AND the SubDisplay using Pocket Player 3.2! Been looking for something like this for a while. I'm sure others will appreciate it as well.

So I love music. Right now I am locking for the best rom for music lovers. By that I mean its pretty smooth, as good lockscreen controls, equalizer, a nice music player, and more. Any suggestions?

My choice would be CM10, definitely. It has a great buttons support. There are controls in the lockscreen, in the notifications and it supports headset button (Play/Pause), and volume buttons commands (Long press on Up/Down to change track). There is an equalizer too but it only works with apps that use the standard sound library for music (Soundcloud doesn't support it, but Google Play Music does).

If you use Spotify, the album art doesn't work with CM10.
I'd say anything based on CM7. I hear to a lot of music, and I use Poweramp with CM7.2 That is probably the best combination for me. With Poweramp, whenever I plug in a headset it automatically starts the music and with CM7 I use the volume rocker to change songs. So I never have to see my cellphon'es screen whenever I listen to music.
I also use WidgetLocker where I put the Poweramp widget in the bottom.
How can I control the music on my Galaxy S II when it's plugged into my headunit via AUX, I can't use the lockscreen shortcuts because I have a PIN unlock code.
I was thinking I could cut the earphones off the headset and then solder these bare ends to an AUX cable so I can have music controls.
I also found PlayerPro which allows you to swipe to one side to bring up a player this works even with PIN Unlock code (Its basically two lockscreens and you change between them like you do with homescreens)
Anyone have any other ideas?

hi i was wondering if there is an app or anyway to adjust volume for apps that are on at the same time. at the moment what happens is when i use the sat nav and i have music playing it mutes the music everytime the sat nav sound comes on however what i want it to do is have the music and satnav at the same time but dim the volume down for the music while the satnav sound comes on. i am using a samsung galaxy tab pro 8.4 tablet.
