I had reflashed with NRG ROM a while ago, but didn't like it, so I switched to VBNROM. But my phone has their NRG logo upon bootup, rather than the "Stick Together" logo. How do I have the T-Mobile logo back again?

don't know if people have collected the tmo log for flashing...can look around.
a round about way...flash an original tmo rom. then flash vbnrom (as it seems to keep the first boot screen the same...)
Yeah I could try that, but I just got data working on VBN...and I keep reflashing the thing and having to reload apps on here...Looking for a more, direct way of doing this.
And plus, I don't know where to get the Tmo ROM at anyhow.

just look around for the splash screen. there is a thread on how to make your own.
also, all the stock roms are here on xda. you have a usa flag, so i assume you have a tmo us phone? if so, just go to the rom section for tmo us:

I have a kaiser.
my friend just got a mogul titan
I know for the kaiser you have to put a new spl to upgrade the rom
I assume it's the same process for this phone. But i dont see any files or posts on how to do it.
He tried just running custels upgrade and it doesnt get past 0%. so we assume it's a boot loader issue.
how do we do it on the titan.
thanks!

thanks! lol, figured it was in the other forum. hahah
Unlocked, now what?
Help! I'm stuck on the boot loader screen thinking that the OEM ROM would not get wiped. I see that there are some ROMs but they are on sites that don't allow but for a single download per day or something. Any other places to get these? Am I bricked?
I'm new at this so thanks in advance,
J

it doesnt wipe it. you could run titan_exitbl and get out.
i guess i can work on finding a mirror but its not gonna be tonight
Got it loaded
Thanks DCD... I actually got it loaded and realized I was trying to load an image for the wrong HTC device. DOH!
Phone has a few issues but I think it may be related to one of the apps I have loaded with your clean load/image. Is there any chance of a Verizon based image soon for the Titan? Not sure if there are many differences but I have had a few lockups and issues with calls. Goes through but can't hear each other... not sure if that's an OS issue or not. I've yet to update the Radio as well as you suggested. Thoughts?

If you have clockworkmod installed on it, boot into cwm and wipe data/cache/dalvik and flash a different showcase kernel that you know works. Do you have a functioning showcase kernel already on your sd card?
You flashed a Verizon Fascinate kernel onto a Telus Showcase. Good job.
Dude I did the same thing my advice and what worked for me is flash the cell south showcase rom. Root your phone get rid of all cell south Apps make it look stock take it back get a new one that's if your in your 60 or 90 days i forget what it is as far as I know there's no roms For are showcase yet. If they give u **** just say u talked to customer service and samsung and u told them your phone seemed really slow and u noticed a few apps always running that shouldn't be even after you killed them like screen capture service and a few others and they told u it's probably a phone defect and should take it back and pick the rep that's looks like they want to go home they only want sells and will get you out as quick as possible. I hope all works out well for you I know how it is I'm on frog and payed 450..... but it should
Got my cell south Rom from some dudes in a irc chat room #samsung-mesmerize they helped me out a lot and if your willing to dump your Rom when u get a new phone they will make you a Rom for your phone

Telus doesn't use the Showcase. They use a GSM version of the Fascinate. The Showcase is a CDMA phone that is like a twin to the Verizon Fascinate and the US Cellular Mesmerize.
Another Fascinating post by my XDA app...

Slow down there buddy I'm on a showcase sch i500 cdma right now n-telos does have it they started selling it around may 1st its not gsm n-telos is cdma a little different then the cell south found out the hard way
Same problem here. Found directions to install Cyanogen 7.1 on a Samsung Showcase as it listed it to be compatible. Downloaded ClockworkMod Recovery and installed it using Heimdall Suite 1.1.1. Used CWM to then install the Cyanogen 7.1 rom and Google apps rom as well. All seemed good except for when it booted it listed my carrier as Cellular South. My carrier is actually Ntelos.
Needless to say the only thing that initially worked were voice calls and the web for some reason. Text messaging was broken(a big one with me).
I tried to *228 to see if that would maybe program the phone for the proper settings but it did not work.
So I thought that because I had backed up my phone with CWM I could just revert back to my old image and all would be well. The restore function did not work. Rebooting into CWM from the ROM manager I was able to initiate the restore. All seemed well and it notified me it had restored. When I rebooted my phone however it was frozen at the Samsung logo. I rebooted into CWM and cleared my cache and did the factory reset only to find that after a reboot it just loads straight to CWM.
Now I basically have a useless phone. I can reinstall Cyanogen but I no longer have signal for service. It also seems hit or miss as to if it installs with no problems. Sometimes it will install and the default widgets will show errors loading. The google apps will not install sometimes even though they show confirmed through CWM. I can reboot the phone from ROM manager into CWM and it will perform the restore just the same as the first time without any problems but the phone will not boot back up to the stock ROM. If I try to boot straight to CWM using Volume+Home+Power it will not perform the restore. It goes through small part
Erasing boot before restore...
Restoring boot image...
Restoring system...
Error mounting /system
That's as far as I get.
I'm basically stuck in this vicious cycle with no end in site. I've tried researching til my eyes hurt to find a solution to my problem. I can't find a stock ROM anywhere. Obviously the combination of a small carrier and a small audience for this model phone yields little along the lines of widespread support. So I've came here to the XDA Developers board in hopes that someone will be able to help me.
I've just rooted a stock brand new Galaxy Tab 10.1 from canada (not sure if it matters). I then wanted to install Galaxytask, so I flashed CWM, wiped everything did my backups and what not. I then installed from the zip file and everything went okay but I am stuck at the android splash screen and it won't go from there. Is there a difference between the american and canadian versions? Do I need to flash something else first?
Thanks for any help.
patience?
it takes a good (felt) 10 minutes of splash screen after installation of the rom until the language menu appears. I assume that is the problem since it sounds like it is your first custom rom.
hard reset the tab.

Yea it was definitely patience. I was in a rush finishing my day at work thinking, hey I will do this now then I dont have to bring my cable home blah blah. Then it got stuck (or so I thought) and did a nandroid restore. Tried it again after posting this, waiting 15 minutes and just watched a TV show, came back and it was good!
First custom rom on the tab 10.1 yes, but been using CM on a few phones like the nexus one and atrix.
Cheers
I got myself a bricked Vibrant from someone and trying to fix it.
I'm guessing the dude tried to flash captivate stuff on it, because the boot image is AT&T.
Anyway, I was able to odin back to stock 2.1, which seemed to make the power button work again because it would start up and show the AT&T logo but that's it.
Then I tried odin'ing a vibrant bootloader, which got me to replace the AT&T logo with a green andy logo, but same thing, stuck.
So I tried reflashing 2.1 with odin again. Now the boot logo is back to the stock i9000 > Vibrant, but then it stops here. I can't seem to be able to enter the 2e(or 3e?) stock recovery.
Any idea on what else I can try flashing to it?
Update: I tried flashing the froyo bootloader, which did get me to the stock recovery, but again - i can't seem to get this phone past this stage, doesn't boot into the OS.

So what is your desired ROM after flash?
I suggest that you should flash it to LidDroid with Vibrant bootloader. From that, you can upload the phone to 2.3, 3.0 or ICS 4.0 ROM.
On mobile now so I cannot giive you the download links for needed files. If you need them, just post a reply in the thread.
Thanks, I tried LidDroid
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058802
And flashed Froyo and GB bootloaders, nothing is working. It just shows boot screen then still shuts down.
Update: Well I'm not sure what the issue is, I was able to get it to boot to the lock screen once, but then it shut down right after. Now I can only get it back to boot image before shutting down.
The thing I noticed is that the phone gets hot really fast, so maybe it's drawing too much power somewhere and its shutting down as a protection. Also the stock batteries don't seem to work for it, just this particular battery that it came with, which the contacts on the battery are flush with the edge of the battery instead of indented like the stock ones.
What you should do is take out your sim card and external sd card if you have one, use odin to flash back to stock rom (either 2.1 or 2.2), wait for it to load up as it might take a few minutes after you see the Vibrant logo (just be patient). If you get this far and you see the operating system, flash clockwork recovery on it.
If you can get this far, let us know then we'll talk about custom roms. The main purpose now is to get it running stock, we can worry about the custom stuff later.
Here's a couple of links to help:

I previously converted my M8 to the Google Edition. Now I'm trying to fully convert back to stock AT&T and already have the stock rom and stock recovery installed. While booting up my phone shows the AT&T splash screen. However before that pops up, instead of seeing the HTC Powered By Android screen, my phone shows the standard Google logo screen. Any ideas on how to fix this? Added pics for clarity.
EDIT: I managed to fix it. First time poster here and not sure how to delete this thread.
there isnt a offical RUU to flash yet for stock sense. might have to wait for it. not 100% on that though

That is not how this forum works. Post how you fixed it, so others that have the same or similar issue will read this thread and benefit.
