Broken market! - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My market won't install any apps, they will download but not install. I'm on JI6 with OCLF, stock rom with a few mods. I was on 2.2 market but reverted to stock to see if that would help and it didn't. Any solutions? Thanks in advance

This worked on my G1 with the same issue.
Got to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications
Now hit the menu button and filter to show all.
Find the market app (should be named Market), clear cache on the app. Exit out.
Check that you are signed into Google Talk.
Let me know if this works

Now it force closes when I start it up. Guess I'm gonna have to restore a nandroid

Under settings go to applications and clear the cache for Google maps. Go to market and uninstall/ reinstall update for maps. Worked for me when I had the same issue.

Or if that doesn't work
Download Astro file manager
Navigate to /System/Apps
Find googlemaps.apk or something along those lines and rename it to googlemaps.bak
then go back under Settings>Applications>Manage applications.
View all> uninstall com.googlemaps
once finished re download it from the market.

My market apps not showing

I flashed bionix-v and restored apps with titanium backup as usual but after a few reboots, only my purchased apps are showing in the "my apps" section of the market.
Anyone else gave this problem?
Any solutions?

Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Market>clear data Market may be under the ALL tab
^ if that doesnt work:
Go to Titanium, locate the Market App, click it, wipe data... click wipe data again for kicks and giggles.... now, while still in TB, Menu > More > Market Dr and let it repair the missing market links.
Go to the market, menu > my apps.
Good?

Marketplace Messed Up!!

Heres the problem I have currently....when I go into to market and go to "my apps" its not showing me anything I have installed...it just shows apps I have purchased...and even then it just says purchased instead of installed...meanwhile all the apps I have installed from the market are all running on my phone just fine. I can re-install all the apps again, and then the market shows them installed, but when I reboot my phone...there gone from the market, but still on my phone.
Can anyone help me pinpoint this problem...PLEASE???

Use titanium backup, select the market app, then wipe market data.
Then press menu, then more, then market doctor, and restore the links.

[Q] market problems

I've been having problems with the market recently and downloading apps. The apps start to download and just stop or they will download and not install. My signal is 3G and the strength is around 3 bars. It will eventually download and install after 4 or 5 tries. Anyone else having this problem? And if do did you managed to get fix.

Have this problem before. twice actually. Either:
-force stop market in the 'Manage Applications' in 'Settings', then wipe data and cache. Open up market and see if apps install.
-check if you deleted a Google Talk process, service or some kind (not talking about the actual app). Market fails to install if you deleted that.
If none of these is it, than I would recommend a reflash of a rom or possibly an Odin.

Thanks, its definitely not the deleted Google talk I only freeze apps and I tend to stay away from apps that say good when doing so. I will definatly try what you suggested and see if that works.

Market problem

Hi, ever since I flash wolf break 2.3.3 rom, my market is able to download apps but when it reach 100 percent, nothing happen, it's not installing or anything, when it's downloading, if you check the apps download page at the market, the download progress bar is not there, instead, the button install is still there, any solution to this?

edit: this is what i've done
clear data and cache at market application
wipe dalvik and fix permission
reboot few times already
but still, it doesnt solve the problem
I had that too, the only way to install the app is to exit market, use a task killer to kill market and then reopen it and it will finish install. I flashed the newest 'old' market, the green one, and it all works fine now. Running same rom.

I did that too, killing the market, and I use the old market too because the new one laggy, but still it doesn't solve the problem
