am kinda of a rookie on diz... my vibrant stays stuck on the " samsung vibrant screen...it goes in to download made and recovery as well... and have the correct drivers and odin and the files that i need.... the only problem is my stupid ass computer wont recognize my phone... can some one help plz
Odin wont recognize it even in download mode? Once you put it in download mode have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in while Odin is on? It should say com6 in yellow in the box on the top left
Also, what were you doing when it bricked? What mods have you done?

Install Kies Mini on your PC that should install the correct drivers, then use the latest version of ODIN.

hey guys...i have a samsung vibrant .. i got it like 3 weeks ago ...and i did the one click room...so this week tmobile sends me a OTA update... so i update...then out of nowhere my phone stay stuck in the "samsung vibrant" screen .. i can hear it booting up but it wont go pass the samsung screen... i try to restore it with ODIN but my stupid ass computer wont recognize my phone and i already download both drivers 64 and 32... idk what else to do can sumbody help?
While its in download mode try unpluging it from the USB port and plugging it back in...Works sometimes. Or power down the phone, plug in the usb cable..start up ODin then power the phone on into Download mode...should recognize it.
Or you need the current Samsung Driver for your PC. OR...just or you can search the Vibrant bible.

I was having problems with my Vibrant t959, so I formatted my main SD card in my phone, and now I Get The black Vibrant screen, or a black screen with the rotating clock thing but it freezes. My Vibrant won't connect to my pc (Win7 64 bit) for Kies or ODIN. I am new to SGS phones. If anyone can halp me to get my phone working again please help! Thanks! You shouldn't have any problem getting your computer to detect it in download mode through Odin. Try installing the drivers again. If it's bricked after you try to Odin back to stock then you should try using Eugene's unbrickable froyo rom

But I have never been able to get my phone to be recognized on my pc, always did my stuff w/o my PC. I just have it stuck on the black screen and nothing will happen. I'm lost... any more suggestions?

Hello friends,am in serious need of help,i plug in my ace to my computer using the cable and kies detected a new firmware which i tried to update to,after downloading finish to 100%,my phone restarted and shows downloading on the screen,for like 1hr it didnt change to any other thing and kies couldnt detect the phone,so i disconnected it from the cable,i removed the battery and inserted it again,now the phone can start up but all i can see on the screen is a computer icon with a phone icon,i dont know what to do,pls help...anybody with useful information or solution should post it here thanks.l
Remove then insert battery. Then try holding volume down and home button while holding power button. Will it go to download mode? If yes, read hubix's tutorial in the development subforum it's a sticky thread.

Next time , use ODIN for flashing firmware . Kies was NEVER EVER reliable .
go to recovery mode perform a factory reset/data wipe that should fix it
Please use ODIN and flash with the one-package file from samfirmware. I did the same when Kies bricked my phone too while upgrading to Gingerbread. It works!

Nope, there is no recovery mode accessible either when Kies bricks your phone. Happened to me so. Just a stupid screen with a computer and phone icon with <!> in between them. But anyway my suggestion above of using ODIN should help him out. =)

I had bricked my phone once where I could just see black screen and after some tries white screen and nothing. I removed SD Card and SIM Card and kept it aside. I then removed battery and tried putting phone in download mode. It still did not work then I waited 4-5 min and then inserted battery again. Then I tried putting phone in download mode and it successfully gone in download mode. Then my phone was not getting recognized thru USB cable for ODIN. I changed USB port still same issue then restarted my PC and then I connected phone to USB port and finally got Froyo installed again on my Galaxy Ace thru ODIN.

i had samsung galaxy ace gt-s5830 i've rooted my phone and install the super one click to unlock my phone when i restarted the phone its just wont boot the screen goes black and white but i can still access to my download mode i tried to install a new frimware to bring it back to life using odin but is till have the same problem please help and when i flash it using odin it gave me the blue screen that the phone flash pass but it just not booting all what give the screen goes white and black thats it can anyone help me pleasde and i woulf be so thanfulllll please help

Long story short. Was on a custom rom. Factory Reset. Buggered everything up.
I can't get into recovery mode. And my download mode isn't working.
The original boot logo doesn't appear (with the triangle) -- it just goes STRAIGHT into download mode -- and Odin isn't recognizing the phone.
Would love for you guys to try and figure this one out lol
Have you used odin before perhaps the pc is missing the drivers?

Yes. My buddy beside me has Odin on his computer working -- tested it on his SGS and it works fine.
When mine is in download mode, it doesn't recognize it. Nothing happens. The initial boot logo doesn't even appear -- which is incredibly strange. It just goes STRAIGHT into download mode and ODIN doesn't recognize the phone (no "added" thing appears)
I do believe this is bricked. Recovery doesn't work at all either. And if I turn the phone on and press the home button a few times -- the entire screen flashes white and black over and over.
I guess last resort is a USB jig ?

u need to download the lastest KIES version then plug your phone to your PC/LAPTOP, then update DRIVERS and KIES FIRMWARE to the latest version, before u open ODIN u need to close KIES, then disable temporary anti-virus/anti-malware and run ODIN with ADMIN previledge, and your phone will detect ODIN, as long as you can go to DOWNLOAD MODE or RECOVERY MODE

I am not sure it's the drivers. Why? Because my friend who works beside me has the drivers installed. He put his phone (exact same phone) into download mode and it connected fine. This means his drivers work.
It would do nothing when i connected while in download mode.
the jig is the last resort.
If the jig doesn't work, is it possible I am the first ever to brick a phone galaxy phone?

You're not the first nor the last to brick this phone.
USB jig isn't likely to help since it's used to force the device into download mode. Try to find a JTAG service in your area.

Try Odin v3.07
I was in download mode and attempted to odin back to stock and it failed. see screenshot attached. Now my phone is stuck on the little cell phone and computer symbol connected by a triangle in between. its the same as shown in this video.. .Now I cant get it to download mode...
Any help would be appreciated... .

Had this same problem recently. What I did was try to put it in download mode again by holding the up and down volume keys and plugging in the cable, it would show up as the icon as you mentioned but the computer would recognize it to be in download mode. I would then use odin like normal. Are you sure you are using the correct .pit and .pda file just in case?

So I used another computer this time....still had that computer and cell phone icons on the screen...but as you said ...i just opened AIO tool and used odin to flash it to stock..it worked this time...and once done... i checked the phone which was working and quickly rooted and installed a FROYO custom rom.
