does anyone know where to find SE x10 stock rom my friend intalled a unstable rom and forgot to back up his original one any help?
Do you want 2.1 or 1.6? I can help you with 2.1 only. And these are SE firmwares.

Use SEUS Sony Ericsson Update Service), this install stock rom.
I have the same problem. I need to restore the stock rom but when I try to use SEUS or PC Companion I receive a message saying that my phone already have the latest software.
Any idea?

I did it, but didn´t work. It says I have the lastest software.
But I installed the last X10a Generic firmware from here and now at least SEUS and PC Companion works, including the repair.
Is not the same ROM I had on my phone, but I think I´m able to get the officials updates now.
Im in the same situitation, I found this convuluted way to go back to the 1.6 that involves command lines and command prompts Im a little scared to try it
Hi, I recently heard that the new update coming for the xperia x10 is only going to work for generic firmwares. Is this correct? If so, how do I install a generic firmware on my phone that would allow me to update it, and which firmware do I use? Thanks!

Okay, will this allow me to update to the official gingerbread through pc companion, or does the update come from seus too?
And would lose all my files, or would I still be able to restore with titanium backup? Thanks!

Updated right now with SEUS to 2.3.3 (had the X10i_2.1.B.0.1_CUST-DE GENERIC 1235-7836.zip)
Everything except sd card gets erased. Maybe try SE backup tools of PCC
So do i update my x10a to the same x10i generic you had? do i need to do this through seus? as long as i can get my phone updated to 2.3.3, i don't really mind losing all my apps! so after putting your generic version on my phone, i will update through pc companion, correct? is this how you updated your phone to 2.3.3???
SEUS Repair function Q
Hello!
I am new to both the XDA forums and to the Android modding in general.
A while back I did root my Generic X10i and install Xrecovery on it but now I have heard from several sources stating that I need a "clean" phone to get the 2.3.3 update from SE.
My question is: Does SEUS repair reflash the entire phone and remove all traces of modding so I can update to 2.3.3 w/o any problems?
(I have backed up my contacts and dont mind losing apps, as long as I have the 2.3.3 update)
Good question, I also don't mind losing my apps as long as I get the update!
Does anyone know if repairing you're handset removes traces of rooting?

Repairing wipes your phone and installs an official firmware, so yes. It removes all traces since it's a fresh install.
Any install using the Flash Tool (with wipe userdata checked) will install a fresh firmware.

but Repair will install based on what? the original firmware from that region or the original where the previously installed custom firmware was based on?
Thanks all. Was thinking about a repair based on the original update firmware from pc companion, do I can update once 2.3.3 hits my brand of phone

I need the Original Firmware to update over CWM.
SEUS update only the last Firmware to 2.1.1.C.0.0.
Where i can find this Firmware? Can anybody upload this?
(Sorry for my english)
I used pc companion instead to update to 2.1- update 1. 2.1.1.A.0.6 or I'm sure if you use the 'search' function itl be on xda somewhere.

The Companion app dosent list the X10 under US, but UK, and it shows two versions of it. When i try to repair my phone this way, it says there is no software avalaible for it.
I just want to return to stock 2.3.3 so i can unlock bootloader. another question would be if that the 2.3.3 Aro file would suffice for this.

You can do it with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service). You don't need to downgrade nothing. When ever I wanted to go back to stock from custom roms, I did it with SEUS, without single problem. Just download Update Service from Sony official site, run it and follow instructions.

So flashing the 2.3.3 offical Rom that started circulating when Gingerbread came out would be considered stock?

I always used SUES but it only said that the newest software is already installed and there was nothing I could do. Maybe they've changed it already, last time I used SUES was more than half year ago.
PS. And You're right. If I downgraded my baseband I didn't select repair but flash new firmware.
Hi,
So I had flashed the ST25i unbranded ICS ftf, and then rooted using the method from Binary...
But now I wanna get my carriers version of the ST25i ROM, which I saw in the SI list that has been added.
So, if I change the build.prop SI number and version to the SI number from my phone, and then hit REPAIR on the PC Companion, i'll be able to get back to unrooted rom from my carrier?
Thanks in advance
bump.
need the answer asap
