Hello,
i have two strange problems. There is a phonenumber on top of my dial list and it stays there. So when i recieve new phonecalls or miss them this phonenumber is allways on top of my list. Very annoying....
The same thing i have with a message. I cannot delete it and it stays on top of the list after new messages come in. I tried deleting them all and it stays where it is..

I have had problems sending SMS for a while, i will try and send them and get a message telling me that the message couldn't be sent. I can receive them though. I have worked out that it is because my XDA adds a dialling code to any phone number that I have. For some reason when I enter a phone number in my contacts a "425" prefix is automatically added, and i think this is the problem. I have already gone into settings>connections tab>connections>dialling locations tab and deleted all the "425" prefixes from all locations but it still adds the prefix when entering a number in my contacts. HELP!!! PLEASE
think that I've sorted now, just deleted all of the existing dialling locations and created a new one
Here's a very odd glitch I encountered with SMS, maybe one of you guys will know more about it.
It happens when I send a text message and it sends correctly (I get the message sent notification, message goes in my sent messages box etc) and/or I receive a text message from someone else in my text message in box, and the phone locks up shortly after.
I'm not saying the problem is the phone locking up, I'm just saying IF it locks up and I'm forced to soft reset, I found to have text messages missing that I previously had before the freeze. For example, I receive Text Message A in my inbox, and I send Text Message B and it sends fine. I also have old text messages C, D, & E in my inbox, and old sent messages, F, G, and H in my sent messages box. If my phone locks up and I soft reset, Text Message A and B will be gone, like they never existed, while C,D,E,F,G,H will remain intact.
Anyone have ANY idea what's up with that?
Just a quick one... had to reset the phone, When I used to send text messages, In the 'to' if I started typing a name there would be an option along with the '97686789' that comes up in the green suggestion box of the contact name, Now I just get the numbers that correspond to the letters that are meaningless. Is there a setting to get that back that offers me the names in that drop down?
Also, when I receive a text from someone in my phone book, it just shows their number and not their name, depsite them being on the sim, but not the phone, Is that relevant? Does it only show contacts when on phone not sim, and when I transferred sim to phone and you have the option of 'if there are duplicates only show phone' it still showed all duplicated in people and phonebook. And the sim number decreased from 197 to 123, This phone is NUTS!
P.S. Anyone else not get the weather for their area but did when they first had the phone, and now it comes up 'no data available' with just the name of your location instead.
Will this impending update be automatic?
I have a Vibrant and my buddy a Captivate. He has a contact on the sim chip and telephone memory, but not as a google contact. When he attempts to message a certain contact, (just one contact is affected and not all), the message comes up with an error "must use 10 digits". The problem is, the telephone number saved to the contact contain 10-digits. He did say when he initially saved the contact to the phone, he ommitted the area code, and tried to send a text and came up with an error. He has corrected the contact, but the error continues to pop up, despite the contact being modified.
Any idea what is wrong?
Hi. A long time ago I have sent a group message and got the feedback prompt "messages has not been sent".
I have ignored this as only two of the recipents were wrong.
Now I don't have that message anymore on my phone but I keep getting the prompt.
The phone shows it each every hour or two. What's worse it pushes it to my smatwatch which rings as if I got a real sms. It's very iritating.
I have wiped out the cache of the sms app but it didn't help.
So the question is how to fix this?
I don't want to loose all my sms messages - many of them are important to me.
You may have to delete the problem message. I have done this by long-pressing it and then selecting to delete it (I just checked that this works on Google Messages). In theory, that should stop it from trying to send it to the bad contacts... of course, it also means you'll lose the message, but it's only one, so it may be ok?
