I have update notification, but my port usb is brick, so i can't connect my x10 to computer and i have to charge with Micro USB Battery Charger EP900, can i update without computer ?
Pls help me
I herd OTA wasn't an option for this update.
Do it at work or on a friends Pc that has a working usb connection or two.

Hi all, I can't connect my Xperia x10 to my computer to connect to SEUS or even apply the patch for dual touch. Is there a way to do it from memory card. Please go easy I'm a bit dim when it comes to all this stuff. So step by step instructions would be much appriciated

it never works...
if your phone is rooted you can do it with xrecovery
You can only apply dualtouch with USB or OTA.
It is not possible via xRecovery sorry.

Ota never tells me when an update is available but when I plug it into seus then low and behold an update exists! Still on stock android but rooted until a stable 2.2 or even 2.3 becomes available with everything working.e.g camera and camcorder.thanks for all the help.looks like an ebay order for a data cable is needed.

Real good question. There are many more mobile phones which use the data cabel of the x10. The lg touch phone has it too. Worth a try

My usb is focked and Rogers doesn't offer ota, is there any other way to get the update ota.

Like He said. Not possible without flashing because you Mareike changing Thema Firmware and thats something YouTube cant do with xrecovery ...

Hi guys good day!!! I do have a x10i with FIRMWARE 1.6, BASEBAND 1.01.14, BUILDER NO. R1FAO14 which was working perfectly fine. Until I tried to update it using SEUS which was successful (as per the software) then I restarted my phone and saw it was updated to FIRMWARE 2.1 UPDATE1, BASEBAND 2.1.54, BUILDER NO. 2.1.a.o.435. The problem was after 5-10 mins buttons no longer work and only the touch screen works. Please if anybody has a solution please let me know.
I’m thinking of two things, FIRST is reverting it back to 1.6 if possible (I don’t know how...) SECOND is to continue using the current firmware (2.1 update1) but resolving the button issue.

You could try reinstalling the 2.1 firmware using SEUS and see if that solves your problem.

I already tried reinstalling with SEUS but unfortunately when its asking to plug in the phone (flash mode) it doesn't recognize the phone being plug. event with PC companion during flash mode it will just have a green light (upper right hand) then a sign (battery charging).
Any other solutions?

Hi I tried using Flasher by Bin4ry 0.2.6 and tried to flash it. When I tried to connect the phone (flash mode) it gives me a ERROR: Please Plug Your Device In Flash Mode. But when you check the phone it has a Green light but its just showing a charging indicator.

YUP! That's what I normally do... Unless there is a different way?
i hate to say this but you still could be doing something wrong or your phone is messed up. lets just hope your phone isn't messed up. keep asking questions and updating us here on your post wat things ur trying and lets see what we can do for u.

Nope. when I go to flash mode the light turns green but SEUS doesnt detect it being conected. im thinking of repairing my firmware or returning to 1.6, but since SEUS doesnt see the phone and SE COMPANION doesnt have the USB Connected option on the drop down when ive connected the phone.

hi everyone ... i have really serious problem with my gt-i9100g in usb connection mode when i try to connect to my pc its not showing any thing (just charging) am try all the ways before i post the thread (factory rest ..install and reinstall the kies and driver,format my laptop,, use another pc...*#7284#,,,usb debugging mode,,,usb storage mode ) i have done every thing and i am still stuck??????? am using GB 2.3.6 stock rom and i used another rom like superatom rom and kernel's (using mobile odin) flash it with stock rom's via(mobile odin) ???any ideas

but one thing can you access your usb through cwm.i am sorry i am trying to help i once had the same issue but i just rebooted the device and it worked fine.try this if it doesn't work uninstall the drivers and every trace of them and unistall kies and dont install it again then reinstall the drivers when you connect your phone.but i dont understand one thing why do you have kies installed anyway i never installed yet my phone works fine with my computer.last thing if nothing works then try changing your usb cable.

I think its hardware problem in the usb it self .....i used the kies o.e time on my life and thien the problem is starred ...i dont need kies the mobile odin do all job ..perfectly ...but some times u need the ****in kies ....thank u bro

Yes man i try 4-5 usb cables nothing happin....but somtimes when convert the pda ----->to modem the pc start to load some drivers but all of thiem unkown for the pc (thats only in modem mode )by hitting *#7284#..

i think it will be best if you go to samsung center.if you cant fix the problem on your own then ask samsung center to identify the problem.one thing i want to ask when did this problem start and how.also do you pull the usb cable carelessly because it could have damaged the port.

I had this problem when i had upgraded to 2.3.6
You can solve this, first go to downloading mode and reboot by long pressing power button then go to recovery mode and reboot.
for me it solved usb connection problem.

what a serious problem you have i mean most of our suggestions would fix your problem but one thing i want to ask you were able to flash? then that rules out damage usb port.but if i find a fix i will tell you,see if you can identify the problem.but if you were able to flash then it is either bad drivers or damaged usb cable.
When th GB 2.3.6released its was working very good i used 1clickroot app to root my phone and start using the mobile odin app to flash Rom and kernels (from the phone itself )i think u know this app and it can root any Rom without need to any pc to do it ...am starting to think to send it to the Samsung care center ....this phone will made me crazy bro ....and thank very much man to try to helps in this phone issue .

hi my mini usb on my s3 has stopped working both for charging and for connecting to the computer, is there anyway i can flash a stock rom, so i can send it away under the warranty?
