I think my device is completely screwed. I had to reinstall my firmware after visual task switcher wouldn't allow me to go to my home screen, however seus failed installation, and from that point, my phone has been non responsive
In flash tool i get a progress and eventually it completes and changes nothing, or it fails at a certain point
When attempting to turn the device on it gives me 3 flashing green lights, vibes and then does nothing
I can connect in flash mode, and its detected by seus but never gets past a tiny percentage complete, and will also be detected in flash tool but fails also
im running windows 7 64bit, and i have used the work around for java, but still get errors in certain places
any help will be much appreciated
In response to myself, i fixed the device by using SEUs on a 32bit computer. It ran through fine and repaired itself
I was just about to SEUS lol.
I was following the exact step-by-step guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196808
and after I flashed the kernel downgrade, unplugged USB, power up the phone and immediately plug in after the vibrate, I never got the message in the next step that says "Connected Device: X10", and the "Root" button on the flash tool never became available.
Now my phone is permanently stuck at the "Sony Ericsson" black screen, it won't even turn off. I checked device manager and there are 2 hardware without any drivers. one of them says "Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus", and the other says "SM bus controller". Does this have anything to do with my problem?
I'm running Win XP SP3, I tried to let it automatically search for drivers but it didn't find anything. I went to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193066
and downloaded those drivers, but have no idea how to use them. Tried to use device manager to look for drivers in the downloaded folder and it doesn't recognize anything.
What now? At this point I don't care if I can still root my x10 or not, I just want to fix it so I can use it again. I tried PC Companion but it won't even recognize my phone, keeps telling me to enable USB when I can't even get past the SE screen.
You should try flashing a new ftf firmware bundle, then try the steps again.
ok finally fixed... had to use a friend's computer who is running win7 and actually automatically installed the drivers. everything went as explained on the guide... I guess the guide is not win xp friendly then
I'm helping my friend here
He did a full wipe on his X10, and now, his phone cannot boot, and neither can it enter recovery. My Mac can't even detect it(adb and fastboot cannot detect it).
Help :/

Repair it using PCCompanion
Adding to that, you may also find it easier to do it on a windows-based pc.
This is caused by did the full wipe and then reboot the phone. At this time, there is no system files in the phone so it won't boot. Need to repair using PC Companion or SEUS or Flash Tool.

Hi,I am this friend who cleverly full wiped with xRecovery. However, my windows7 computer still cant detect my phone, and proves to be a problem.Anyone can help me by giving me a step by step in getting my phone back into flashable mode? or help fix this?
Same kind of problem here with a friend's phone I usualy use a htc desire.
He updated hi X10i (stock, not rooted), since then there's no boot, only exclamation mark for a few secs, and no usb.
I tried "<="+usb/power on -> exclamation mark, no recovery.
It's not detected in any way by my pc (installed sony tools etc...), windows or linux (no kernel message at all), same usb port, same cable, my htc phone works in both.
What can I do ?
Thanks !
You have to connect the phone in flashmode...

I had the same problem a while ago. Phone not detected by PCC/flashtool, SEUS, no xrecovery... started to panic
Then i read a post here somewhere about wotansever - its free but you gotta sign up.
http://www.wotanserver.com/en/
It detected my phone where all others failed and flashed it back to stock rom.
Try it - it works
Once you get it working again heres a great guide for flashtool (flashing/rooting/BL unlocking)

Hi guys, i have looked everyway but still couldnt find solution to my X10 mini 's problem. Please help me!
I managed to root and install xrecovery on my x10 mini(elcair) with flashtool. Took the next step and tried to install CWM recovery, and use it to run miniCM6.
After the white sony ericsson logo disappeared, the blue android with the spinning light appeared, but now it seems get stuck here.
I tried using PC companion to restore my phone, but when my phone go into flashmode, there's a windows pop-up saying the USB driver failed to install and USB device cannot be recognized. Tried using flashtool but it doesnt work either. When i tried charging the phone with the charger, the green LED light did not light up too. I was wondering whether its hardware or software problem. Anyone faced similar problem before or knows what can i do next?
Welcome to Xda!!
Make sure you have installed the drivers for the phone. If you are using win7 it shouldnt be a problem as it searches for the drivers and does find it.
For winXP, install flashtool; After installation, go to C:/flashtool/drivers and run the file; it will install the drivers.
Keep the forum posted
cheers
