2.1 Charger VS Battery LAG. - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Quick remark I've made.
It seems that my phone is extremely smooth while running on charger, yet very very laggy once it's back on battery, worse than the 1.6 build I was on.
I'm running a X10a from rogers, flashed to the X10i 2.0.A.0.504 build.
Could anyone confirm/go against it?
Thanks.

I have the same fw and sw as you and I go against it... Reboot your phone...

Thanks for the testing guys. My phone seems to have calmed down somehow. I don't understand it really.

[Q] Low quadrant score on Jerpelea CM7

I just flashed Jerpelea's CM7 v006. It is very stable i haven't had any FC or reboots. Everything is working smooth, however i noticed that the quadrant score is really low like 850 something. Does anyone have any idea why i'm getting such a low score.
I checked in the CM settings and JIT is enabled.
Good job Jerpelea
Sometimes you might have to wait for the system to settle to get good scores.

It also does not have full function of codecs yet..

Thx for ur replies guys. I checked it today and the score got upto 1000 now. Anyways I haven't gotten any reboots yet, so the rom is functioning excellent.

Just wait, IT will bei Thema beste ROM ever,

For me it's the best ROM on this moment! Stabill, fast, almost everything works perfectly!!
If someone does not care about a camera i can easily recommend this rom. So just wait for future fix. 36,5 k on Linpack, and 1100 on Quadrant... its really enought for me.
Regards.
V 006
I've been running this version since yesterday. My first problem was flashing the baseband, I could not flash the included baseband due to problems with my 64 bits os. I used binary's flashtool and rendeiro's basebands compilation. At the beginning I had several reboots, almost at every attempt to open a new application, especially if the app tryed to access the internet. However little by little I had fewer fc/white-led. Now the room feels very responsive and solid. I'll be using it as my daily room.
Thanks J for all the time and dedication to this almost-perfect room and to this comunity. Keep the great work!!!!!

@tremeree: you can flash the included baseband using bin4ry's flashtool. Anyways let me know if u still get reboots, I'll help u out flashing the included baseband.
Enjoy

[Q] CM7 Gingerbread Vibrant bugs

What are the known bugs with the CM7 Gingerbread ROM for the Vibrant?
I'm considering rooting and flashing my Vibrant to get better speed, but I don't know which ROM is the best for me. I've read that CM7 is popular.
Currently only one. Battery. Batter life will be around 30-40% shorter than on Froyo ROMs. Except...if you were getting 23 hours on a charge to be getting around 16.
He's right. Just battery. I used to have all sorts of problems with ginger, but it was either user error or I was using very beta-builds. Now 2.3.4 is incredibly stable with just a lil bit more battery drain than you are used to. My suggestion: try out trigger redux. Its a fantastic daily driver.

Where did you get the 2.3.4? I have the same phone as you with Firmware version 2.2, baseband version T959UVKA6, Kernel version 2.2.32.9 and Build number Froyo.UVKA6. A friend of mine put this on my phone and I don't really understand how it all works. Will 2.3.4 give me anything more?

Yeh but what more will this give me than what I have now?
For one. Snappier browser. Secondly, I was able to install the nvidia tegra drivers to be able to play games like samurai 2 vengeance. Oh, and you get the useless, yet sought out tv off animation. And until today, netflix [its available for froyo now]. You can google the rest. Seriously, the whole UI is snappier than bionix or trigger ever was. Its awesome how quick it really is.

I'd suggest the CM7 nightly builds. Cyanogenmod 7 is about as good as it gets which is why it is on so many devices.
The only bug your going to notice is that on some of the Gingerbread roms the GPS may not be working, although there is a fix which allows you to lock GPS everytime within 30 seconds literally...
As far as battery life, with CM7 I was lucky to get about 8-10 hours on medium usage, but after I switched out the stock kernel for Glitch's kernel i'm doing a full day, overclocked to 1300mhz undervolted daily.... and it runs beautifully.

hi,can you post a link,i don`t know how to change kernel for Cyanogenmod 7(for vibrant please),for a while i used this rom,and abandoned it because of poor battery life(i have flashed bionix 1.3.1)
Thanks
a couple of bugs i personally had when I was on the latest nightly build were:
Random Reboots: the phone just randomly rebooted when it felt like it wanted to :/ then I saw one of the specific reboots it happened when i tried to put the phone to sleep while entering text it rebooted for no reason i was able to succesfully duplicate this bug many times
Horrible performace: i wasn't every able to play this 720p mkv file i had on the CM7 rom apparently because gingerbread doesn't have hardware acceleration :/ or CM7 for vibrant didn't at least.
Now im testing froyo roms like the bionix 1.31 and the project V and they don't have any of those bugs

How were you able to install those drivers? How did the phone handle?
Sent from my T959 using XDA Premium App
Running CM7 Trigger Redux build 14 and I've only run into two bugs that could be my device, and one that's a known CM7 issue:
Low 3D framerate issues
Text written in landscape dissapears from fields when the phone is rotated to portait mode (May be limited to the Wells Fargo app)
SD cards do not re-mount in Android after being mounted to a PC unless the USB cable is disconnected and reconnected after turning off USB mounting
Battery is fixed, see sig.

[Q] Does everyones atrix lag when plugged in?

Like slowness overall and 'phantom touches'. I have experienced this since I bought my atrix and was wondering if there has been a solution or if there is one at all. Thanks
What are you running on your phone at the moment? That info will help me better understand your problem. I don't have that issue.

No lag here.
Im running Home Base 2.1 + 4.6 (w/ faux's 1.3gz kernel) but this happened before with Greyblur as well

I would try one more ROM like alien or cm7 the make sure your phone doesn't have a hardware issue. I love the cm7. Best performing ROM I ever used.

I had this problem while using a cheap charger. My phone would lag and I would get phantom touches. When it unplugged it was fine. I switched to a better quality charger and it works fine.

[Q] phone version differentiation

hey geniuses
we all know that there are 2 versions of xperia x10. one is x10a and other is x10i. i used the x10i before. while using x10i i found that that phone is much faster and smooth. i am currently using x10a. but i got that x10a is very slow than x10i. and it is also not as smooth as x10i. i also noticed this in someone other;s phone also. his phone was also x10a that was slow too.
so i just wanna know is it because of the different versions or my current phone(xperia x10a) has any problem. is there any solution or way to make it as faster and smooth as xperia x10i...???
thank u

hardware wise x10a and x10i are the same. x10a originally for at&t may have bloatware which causes slowness. install another rom like gingerbread: fxp130-cm7.2 or ics: fxp137-cm9.1 located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410219
good luck!
