Try reflashing using SEUS or repair using PC Companion.

PC Companion doesn´t download firmware. And SEUS not show me option "repair"

I want to flash a 2.3.3 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1209891) and it says to install the latest kernal and baseband .71 so this is what i did..
1. first i flashed the X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_1241-1846 and it had .71 baseband but i cannot root it through flashtool therefore no xrecovery therefore i cannot install the custom rom..
2. flashed x10i_2.1.B.0.1_GENERIC (.67 baseband) and then flashed .71 and my phone keeps restarting..
WHY DO DEVELOPERS THINK THAT EVERYONE ARE AS TALENTED AS THEM!! WE'RE NOT!! please make it easier to understand!! im so confused!
restore with SEUS, root it, install xrec. copy rom (2.3.3) on sd card and enter rec and install rom. do not reboot when its done, pull the battery out. enter flashtool, flash .71 baseband.

can u tell me where i can find the generic 2.3.3 ftf file and the rooting procedure..
If you can upgrade you phone through PC Companion, do it. I will not recommend you use FlashTool to upgrade, but if you want ftf file. Here is it: http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/0OIDEZNA/
Root method and xRecovery (for stock Android 2.3.3 not Eclair): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196808

both SEUS and PC Companion are different.
try re-installing or try using flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Using SEUS, it will work perfectly. PC Companion sometimes ... (what I have to say???)
i've tried both pc companion and seus and still nothing :/ when i use seus i get to the "connect device while holding back button" screen so i do, i get a green LED which stays on for about 20 seconds then goes off and is never recognized by seus. computer recognizes it......help this is very frustrating
thanks
tyler
Did you continue to hold the BACK key when connect the USB Cabble? You must hold it until SEUS tells you release it.
yes i tried that and now i'm getting a windows bubble saying "usb device not recognized" and then after a short while green LED turns off. sorry this is being so difficult...

Ok do this,
What does the flashtool state when your phone is connected with the backlight on?
Device disconnected? in MTP mode?
Check the adb drivers and if possible reinstall them
BTW how did you get into this problem? did you try to update a firmware or kernel or what?
Then Try this trick!!!
* Remove the battery.
* Connect your phone to system with the battery still out.
* Now hold the back button and put the battery on, green led will glow.
* Now you are on flash mode and this would stay for not more than 5-10 secs, You should have quick fingers, so that you should select the firmware or any update within those ten sec's. Keep trying this will work...
Get all the necessary files in place before you try this.

[Q] Problem during update xp S

Hi everyone,
I just got my new XP S and i tryed to update it with PC Companion.
But the update fail and now my phone is shut with a green led and i can't do a **** thing.
I tryed hard reboot but didn't work, I tryed to re-instal original parameters with Update service but fail again.
Has anyone experienced the same thing ? Or got a clue to help me ?
any error messages? what did you do about resetting the device? (power on, volume up)?
Just PC Companion said fail updating nothing more...
And yes i tryed power + vol up for hard reboot but like i said didn't work.
I had no idea... the weird thing is when i connect my phone on the computer the computer detect it but i can't do things :/
Well if i were you i'd try to get it recognized by flashtool and Flash it that way...
Hope you get it fixed else return it!

That would make sense, if you are booting it into fastboot mode without drivers, it would do that.
What they are speaking about above is Flashtool
Which is a program you can use to upgrade your firmware/reflash and such. It doesn't require you going into fastboot mode or anything. You follow the same steps as you do with SEUS and PC companion, you just need to download the firmware yourself and put it into the flashtool folder .
Sorry i was thinking about fastboot when i wrote but it's flashtool who recognize it.
When i do nothing just wait the phone disconnect and reconnect. I can't install things on it cuz it always disconnect during the process...
In the end I debugged my phone.
I went to see someone who's got the constructor software and he fixed it. That was the only way :/

[Help] SEUS Not Work/ Flashtool error

I have a Mini Pro here and try flashing any firmware by FlashTool I get the following error:
ERR_SEVERITY = "MAJOR"; ERR_CLASS = "SECURITY_CLASS"; ERR_STATIC = "SIN_HEAD_VER"; ERR_DYNAMIC = "Failed to verify header sin";
And for some reason the phone will not turn over, after appearing "sony ericsson" on the screen appears the image of a triangle and an exclamation point and off.
While trying to retrieve with the Sony Update Service, the program says that the update failed and tells me to check the battery.
To try to fix, I tried flashing other kernels, but it did not work, when I flash the firmware I get the same error
Please help
Try to repair via SEUS or PC Companion, Recharge your battery to full if it says "Check the battery". If didn't work, Try to re-flash a stock firmware via Flashtool. I hope this would solve your problem.

"While trying to retrieve with the Sony Update Service (SEUS), the program says that the update failed and tells me to check the battery"
I do not think the problem is the battery, because I tried with others.
Anyway, I used this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126358
After that I could turn on the phone normally, it is at version 4.0.A.2.335 and baseband 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-20302203-30
But I still get the same error with FlashTool and repair with PC Companion or SEUS still does not work.

Try to flash your phone through Flashtool, see if that works. Uninstall Xperia Companion before doing anything. Download Flashtool, install it, and you will have there folder named Drivers, which is located in destination where you installed flashtool, usually C:/Flashtool . Run the Flashtool-drivers setup from drivers folder, and select flashmode drivers and fastboot drivers, when you finish that, restart the computer. After, while your phone is turned off, press and HOLD the VOLUME DOWN button, and while holding that connect the usb cable, keep holding, until the PC regonizes you phone, and installs the necessary drivers, and if he does, green notification light will turn on. If a green notification turns on, disconnect your phone, download the necessary firmware, and flash it through flashtool. If you dont know how to do that, just write me back, and i will explain you, detail by detail. Dont try anything with flashtool on your own, if you are not familiar what are you doing. Just ask for help. I'm will be here for a few hours.
No reaction
Followed your instructions but got no reaction from phone, it says it Needs a driver because its an unknown device.

Hmm, strange, even when you connect phone to usb while holding down the volume button, say it's unknown device? Which Windows do you use? It could be maybe something with the drivers...
Im using Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit,
Can i manually select my device via flashtool?
No, you can't. Flashtool should automatically recognize your phone, if you have the right drivers, and if your phone is "alive".
