I have downloaded nordic but I dont know what to do next.

Hi How to update from Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i firmware 1.6 to the latest firmware when the procedures to do it r absolutely STUPID I mean has any 1 got a video that May help me to update to the latest firmware .

The instructions are fine mate. I'm no developer by any means, but i'ved managed to make 3 updates following different instructions. Just follow them word for word and dont rush it.
I agree with above, the procedure is very simple and atm you cannot upgrade past 1.6
Hi, to upgrade your build (Settings > About Phone > Build Number) R2BA026 being the latest, just download SEUS and follow instructions and you will have the latest official build and then to root, download Universal AndRoot from the market, click on root and you are done....
To change from 1.6 to 2.1 you'll have to wait (hopefully) a few weeks...

Can someone please help me rooting my phone. I tried all the options (flashing, using Z4 and Superoneclick), but they don't work.
My problem:
I rooted my X10 on 1.6 because I wanted to have android 2.1. It was on nordic for a while, but I wanted the Dutch version (because of Hyves).
Problem is that the rooting and changing to nordic procedure is different in 2.1, so going back was not the same
I found a way to get my phone back to 1.6 (by flashing, see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683793). I thought I could root it and change it back to Dutch. Since the Dutch version of 2.1 (with Hyves) is out, I could download it.
Problem is that I can't root this one in some way. I did update from the version from flashing, so version number is: R2BA026. (I am stuck with a useless 1.6 X10!)
Can someone please help me?!

i know this is my first post and all, but im quite concerned as my friend got multitouch for his x10 quite some months ago, and i am yet to recieve the update as ive had no notifications of it at all. Hopefully this website can help me to resolve this issue, i know how to use the search button but ive really no idea what im looking at. All i would like is a few links to point me into the right direction as what im supposed to do to upgrade my software to atleast support multitouch. All your help would be muchly appriciated thanks for reading
Use flash tool 0.2.9.1 to flash the appropriate x10a or x10i 2.1.A.0.435 firmware. Both the flash tool and firmware can be found here....

Here is a detailed step by step guide for noobs on updating. It is based on AT&T X10a, but it will work for anyone. Just use the correct model firmware....

There are ways to implement dualtouch on your existing firmware, however if you flash the generic 2.1.A.0.435 firmware you will be certain to get the official 2.3.3 Gingerbread update directly from PC Companion or SEUS when available.
Just to add on top of the instructions provided,
You will lose your personnel data. So BACKUP before you start with this procedure.

I have been unable to determine if I even *NEED* a firmware upgrade - the support site is cryptic and none of the #'s I see match what I have other than the name of the device.
So - can anyone tell me
1)if I need a firmware update
2) what version
3) where can I d/l it
I should be able to find out what programs to use to actually do the update but any suggestions/instructions are appreciated.
Tablet is working just fine, I was just wondering if there was an update.
