Hello,
I have updated recently my HTC HD2 about twice or three times with different cooked ROMs and still have the clock unstable...
Can someone point me to a fix or just explain what's going on ?
I set up the proper TimeZone and right clock time but still changing randomly...
Thanks for your help !
Sorry for posting on a topic already covered...
The answer is:
'Settings' -> 'Menu' -> 'All Settings' -> 'Personal' -> 'Phone' -> 'GSM/UMTS Services' -> 'Time Synchronization'. The select 'Get Settings'. 'Untick the Automatic change time zone and clock'.
Thanks !!

I know you can set the sound to AUTOMATIC so its on vibrate for appointments in the calendar...but I can only seem to find that setting by going to the SETTINGS tab on the TF3D screen. I was trying to cleanup the tabs I don't use often (using the TF3D Advance Config program), and I think I can do away with the SETTINGS tab completely if I can find another way to set the sounds to AUTOMATIC. I have searched almost all of the icons in the START / SETTINGS area, but all I can find there are ways to change the ringer or change the type from ring to silent etc. Is there a way to set the ring type to AUTOMATIC without going through the TF3D settings tab?
Thanks!

apologize...
I apologize for posting here...I had been up for so long, I thought I was in another Raphael forum. I did search and found nothing even close to my question, which is why I started a new thread instead of adding a reply to an existing one. I will search a lot more since I have time and try to post an appropriate reply in another thread, in another forum. Sorry for the trouble. If you are able to delete this entire thread, go ahead and do so.
Thanks, and sorry again!
In Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Wireless LAN -> Power Mode
there is a slider to select "best performance", "best battery" or between..
Does anyone know where is the corresponding registry key for that slider setting?
I ve searched a lot and haven't found anything.... Thanks
maybe kheb (search here on xda) could help - it makes registry snapshots + comparison
Thank you very much man!! I didn't know a program like this existed and yes! it did help me find it!
Thanks again!
BTW the key was (if anyone else cares)
HKLM - Comm - BCMSDDHD1 - Parms - PowerSaveMode
0 -> Best Performance
1 -> Best Batterry
2 -> Between
Hi
I think that by mistake, on first initial HD2 configuration I put time zone as Casabalnca - Morocco (cant remember if it is the case).
Now, from times to times, even changing it to correct one - London timezone, my HD2 changes the time zone to Casablanca, thus making the clock to give me wrong local time.
Tried several solutions already (changing my location, etc,) but still problem continues...
Any help ? TIA
F
first check would be settings - menu - all settings - system - regional settings
Tks for the answer. Already done that.
The problem is that in Def - watch and alarms the time is set to GMT London and with no apparent reason it changes to Casablanca - Morocco.
Weather tag location time changes also to Morocco time zone(or vice-versa)
Is there a registry key that holds the initial (wrong ) information and at a phone reset or similar changes set values to Casablanca values ? Is the only explanation I have to this strange behaviour :-(
on teh home screen, tap the clock and make sure my location is the one selected. sometimes manila doesn't seem to update itself when you edit the wm settings when it comes to time, and clocks and especially alarms and a;arm sounds and such like.
Tks for your efforts.
Done that
Some times I have in the wheather clock three times_
My location time, London time and Paris Madrid time.
There are in the clock 2 hours diference beeteewn London and Paris/Madrid....
When I go check the "old" clock/alarm settings, I see again Casablanca Time zone...
Hey all,
picked up my tab 10.1 yesterday and loving it! One niggle i'm having that cant seem to solve is that when you type a search into the address bar on the browser, it defaults to the google.com version, and therefore when im looking for some things it brings me back to dollars and US websites! (Im in the UK )
does anyone know how to change it so that it searches on google.co.uk instead?
Thanks!
I'be been wondering that myself for several months now

you can try setting the www.google.co.uk url in browser -> settings -> general -> set homepage
also try browser -> settings -> privacy & security -> enable location (check)
you can get the settings by swiping thumb from left or right edge which pops the quick controls

Hi there,
the last days I played with my motorola milestone with CM 7.1.2 (Android 2.3.7) ROM and "found" an power settings menu, where I can set such things like "enable bluetooth if device charge" and many other usefull things.
Now, I tried to access this again but I can't. Now, I found not much about it but I found here some users which also find a/this menu: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-tips-tricks/354267-hidden-power-saving-menu.html
Now, question: How this settings can reached? So far I can remember, I access this settings by "Settings -> About the phone -> Battery usage" and there was an entry which I call. Then I pressed a button for this settings and see them.
Any Idea how this menu can reached?
