mediascape in xperia mini pro with instruction. - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

3. Than play with your mediascape, 1st tym run may take upto 10-15 secs to start but after that its run easily.
4. by selecting any section in mediascape on 1st run it may shows some lags due to cache creation & folder generation but it can run easily later on.
please check it out & comment if u have any problem & tell me how its run..

what i did was just copy the file from x10 mediascape.apk and webmediaprovider.apk in system/app folder and change its property to rw-r--r-- or 644. and restart.if any body help me to mod this file ?

Force close also occurs with me using 2.1
If you have seen video which badboybiky posted he is also encountering same problem. This is because of some missing files I suppose

I searched a lot and found that along with .apk files there are some odex files which I was unable to find any where. Persons after rooting big x10 found mediascape uninstalled and after reinstalling encountered some problems so they also copied .odex files after which problem was solved I could not find .odex any where have you tried it. And there is also another file named mediascape pluging manager
I also tried installing timescape of x10 which has some more features but it got hanged during opening. Have you tried it

sorry guys but not able to monitor this page. i am also not able to launch directly but able to call it through other application like file manager video player and related file.the main advantage of this as i can see is that the YouTube video within music player is good way more better then the original one . now i recently changed my phone from mini pro to x8 thats why i am unable to research or experiment with mini pro.

I guess the force close is due to the screen resolution issues or some thing like that.
It happens also with me. But I have seen that I can install the application in my mini without root. And it can be run indirectly through other programs.
I use now gallery 3d instead because it doesn't force close and is sleeker.

i have tried by alternating every file of x10 with x10 mini pro and lots of file are common and only few are different like timescape and dialer and the bigger res file is named like high res or big.. and it is nota the problem of resolution i think cauz the timescape and dialer and contact app home and so everything is working and even the mediascape being called by other app is working great then that mean there is some ineternal code which refer to the x10 in particular like cert check and wouldnot lunch like we cannot get some htc app ported in se .

thanks for suggestion i will try to find the file and as i have mentioned before i tried every single file of x10 in x10 mini pro by altering system/app and lots of things like contact timescape and other things worked but in crappy way like resolution problems but worked perfectly. i will try to look for the file which you are referring. thanks for the suggestion

hello friends im from india & im new in development
But Im getting success using mediascape on my x10 mini pro
video & music section working fine even mediascape also working fine..just the picture section creates trouble to me as it force close while using pic section...
will update all of you im working on it & after that i will post the procedure & required files..
However here is the progress details...
WORKINGS:
1. Mediascape working without force close.
2. In media scape Music Section Working Perfectly even touch forwarding also works like x10 (While we touch & slide towards left & right song fast forward & back forward along with).
3. Video Section Works Even Better, We able to saw videos in portrait & landscape mode. we can use best fit, crop & other functions like in the x10. no problem in video section at all. in video while pressing next button player automatically plays next video, unlike in our mini pro where play list is opened after every video playback.
4. mediascape starting fonts, view etc is good to view in our small screen its looks like this software is made for our phone. all music shortcuts like last played , most played etc are viewable in front screen along with thumbnails of songs videos & albums.
NOT WORKING PROPERLY:
1. In Music Section when we play song because of resolution songs names occupied most screen part & thus the controls play pause etc cuts half but works perfectly.
2. Large Home Button is shown @ while music is playing that is looked littlebit odd. nothing much.
3. & Last Picture Section is not working at all im getting force close at this section but working on this.
after that we all get mediascape working in our mini pro.

Hello Friends...
As I Said earlier only pic section is not working (force close problem)
now i confirmed you that FULL MEDIASCAPE is WORKING NOW..
WITHOUT any FORCE CLOSE in any section....
PROGRESS:
1. Full Mediascape is working, all sections including pic, music & video.
PROBLEMS:
1. Nothing as such just fonts are little bit bigger but just in music playing section. but it is bearable as this application is officialy made for x10.
2. while starting mediascape 1st tym its start delayed with 3-5 sec because its consume ram & android system free some ram for it. after that there is no problem at all. & overall this delay for 1st tym is also not a problem at all.
Next i soon uploads some screenshots of playing with mediascape on my mini pro...
after that i upload videos & than the required files & methods..
