Okay, so I installed Wolf's TW latest version, and made a nandroid back up of my old rom, I flashed Wolf's and flashed the kernel, and it worked just fine, but then I realized I didn't save my contacts so I tried to revert back to the rom before which was the stock 2.1-1 and it won't boot up anymore. It will get to the sony ericsson logo and then stay there, and the led would go white and reboot. I made a nandroid backup of both roms, and I can't seem to use SEUS because it says I have the latest version. The computer recognizes it, but I can't get into recovery or anything from Flash tool.

Stock 2.1 wont boot up on a 2.3 kernal
You need to flash the 2.1 stock kernal....not sure where it is but you can try some of the stickies in the dev section.
The other way is to use some of azuzu's tools to extract the nandroid backup.
Find it in the dev section...its called unyaffs (I seem to remember)...
Finally another way will be to flash a generic 2.1 firmware.
FInd some of them here

I figured out a solution!
What I did was I just downloaded a generic firmware and flashed it using flash tool and it went back to stock, and just reroot it and reinstalled a rom. Thanks for your reply!

Although I did backup everything but my market and default browser is gone, I cannot download anything at all. Epic fail ehh?
reflash firmware with flashtool?
Reboot in Bootloader and use nandroid
i faced the same problem...if u still have working xrecovery do a restore.
if u don't have root permission don't try to root....just download an original firmware and flash it with FLashtool u know how to do that eh?
Get global generic firmware and flash with flashtool.

Do you first want to go back to stock/standard rom? Or just switch to Clean?
If you want to go back, i hope you made a backup, that makes things easier
If you just want to switch to a new rom, just do it the same way as you flashed CM7. Boot into CWM/xRecovery, choose zip, flash, factoryreset and wipe.
it's not just need the PC companion?.
I have a question. I want to restock my rom from the last backup I made from xRecovery, but im now with CWMRecovery, how can I boot into old xRecovery?
with cwm you have the option to restore using xrecovery backups

Hello, i'm new here , i have already done some searching but i didnt found any direct solution for my problem.
Phone Information;
My Phone: Neo V 2.3.6 Gingerbread
*Rooted [17 months ago]
*Installed CWM (ver 5.0.XX) via flashtool [14 months ago]
*Created a full backup via CWM [6 days ago]
*Unlocked Bootloader Officially [4 days ago]
*I downloaded CM 9.1 haida.zip, copied the zip into my SD card, and copied boot.img to pc, after that i flashed the boot.img to my phone in fastboot mode.
*Plugged off the USB cable and switch on my phone, I pressed volume down to get into CWM, now it shows CWM Ver 6.XXX, I wiped all data/reset, as what i have read before installing custom rom, then i go to install zip from SD card, found the CM 9.1 haida.zip and installed it successfully. [note: I did not do backup because i remember i had done a backup before with CWM ver 5.0.XXX]
*Rebooted the phone and viola i'm now in CM 9.1
Problem;
I want to go back to previous stock rom and with the backup[2.3.6 rooted and unlocked bootloader stock rom] still in the SD card i go into CWM mode and i did reset and wipe all data, then i go to backup and restore, restored it successfully but when i boot up the phone, it shows only the Free Xperia Project at all.
I dont have idea on how to restore the backup again so that i can use previous stock rom again. This make me think if i previously make boot.img for the current stock rom with all data in zip, and save to another pc, i wouldnt be in this problem. because i can flash it at anytime i want. But now i only have the backup from previous CWM 5.0.xxx, not the current CWM 6.xx.xxx.
I have downloaded two stock rom for Neo V uploaded by some people here to mediafire but, i'm not sure if i can restore the backup to it, because the backup included my rooted settings, clockworkmod, etc.
So the question is I WANT THE BACKUP TO BE RESTORED, no matter what version 2.3.6 or 2.3.1 etc because i need some important data and contacts inside of it. Anyone willing to help me? thanks
p/s; Does the Backup contain boot.img for installation?:fingers-crossed:

Yes the issue is due to boot.img not been backed up... And the gb rom can't boot on a fxp kernel... You can try flashing a gb kernel like night elf and restore backup... Or reflash stock gb rom... Root install cwm and restore the backup...

Thanks for the reply, i will try it soon.I think stock gb rom are more safe to try, just the small work to root and cwm only. I hope the backup will be accepted by the system but i guess i will face some kind of error like MD5 mismatch error, but its okay i know how to face that problem. Will post the progress soon.
flash your Neo V and Root and Install other rom

[SOLVED]
Finally, i got it to work again!
With Trial and Error attempt because the battery charge is empty and i had to connect/disconnect the USB cable many times until the blue led [fastboot] comes out.
Flashed Night Elf kernel and installed the backup successfully
Big thanks to you guys for the help.
Try doing this use flashtool and flash stock gb ftf file you will find the link searching the forum after flashing that boot into cwm and then restore your backup on that and all done !!

by the way, how did you get the 2.3.6 version?
Hi everyone,
i have a Xperia P which was working perfectly on stock JB until yesterday... after i rebooted the phone i can't turn it on anymore, it goes past the SONY logo and after that when the boot animation starts it hangs there .... the animation is going normally but the phone wont go past that and turn on :/
I don't know what the problem might be, i just tried reflash latest stock firmware via flashtool (without wiping data and excluding kernel) and it reflashed but the phone still wont turn on :/
I can access CWM recovery normally....
Please anyone help, what can i try?
I've tried now to reflash it again but this time with stock kernel also but still the same
Do a nandroid backup and flash a full stock ftf. Try to redownload the ftf or download it from another source. (I use the official flashtool)

After doing the backup and a full wipe now the phone works again Thanks
Is there any way to take now just the data that i want from the nandroid backup like contacts, apps etc because if i do a restore with the complete backup the phone won't turn on again?
Try nandroid manager from Play Store if you want the paid version dont ask here search the web
