I'm running cm7, lovin it, but I have a question:
are we ever going to see the video codecs from stock 2.2? I can barely play any movies on this rom...Tried the gallery video player plus a whoooole range of others and still nothing.....any fix for this?
Ive tried rockplayer, vplayer, qplayer, mvideoplayer......almost all on the market...lol
just this one thing is enough to make me go back to 2.2
its an amazing rom...a bit unfortunate that it doesnt have this support for a wide variety of video formats.
hi everyone. would be really grateful if someone could offer any advice.
when playing mp4s the video completely loses sync with the audio and video explorer bar starts at the beginning even though the video is still playing.
it only happens on video longer than 30 mins.
I've tried several converters including xillsoft video converter ultimate which has a specific setting for the hero.
I normally encode mp4 for iPod H264 as the file size is smaller but have also tried normal mp4, wmv etc but the issue still happens. a change in the resolution of video doesn't help either.
I've tried mobo player, zimly, rock player and good old stock but no avail.
I've tried several 2.1-2.3 Roms but that doesn't help.
It does work with Elelinux 2.1 stock but if i'm honest i really dont like sense roms.
does anyone know the optimal mp4 encoding settings for the hero?
is it possible its somehow kernal related e.g struggles to read larger file sizes?

try qq player...it worked for me
You might want to try this out.
I am no expert, but this seems to work for me.
I use Any Video Converter.
320 x 240
frame rate of 15
Audio codec is aac for me.
And I use Meridian to view my videos although stock works most of the time.
I am using Elelinux 2.3 (7) currently but this worked well with Stock sense ROM as well..

I have tried the solutions suggested but still doesnt work. It has left me puzzled as if works on 2.1 then why not 2.2, 2.3
are you sure there's no problem in your video coz i'm using qq player and it works gr8
anyone else having problems with video playback on youtube and stuff? for instance if i watch videos on youtube as LQ playback is normal but if i switch to HQ it just freezes but can still hear sound

Hello everyone and greetings from Peru. I wanted to see if some of you ah ah run the 10.2 or 10.3 flash player to watch videos and TV in CM7 2.1.3.
I am currently using the CM6 because with this rom I can use the flash player 95% some videos are rendered but just works better. In the case when it starts playing cm7 only hear audio but no video displayed. Is there any way that works?
