I just installed nero v3, and noticed that the Gallery app by cooliris now sorts photos in chronological order. Is there a way to change it so that it sorts in reverse chronological order so that I can see the photos I've taken recently first rather than having to scroll all the way to the right to see them?
Thanks.

I have just copied a bunch of photos from a recent holiday to my tab, and when I look at them in gallery it shows the newer photos (from the end of the holiday) first (far left), and the older photos (from the beginning of the holiday) last (far right).
Is there anyway I can reverse them in the gallery?

i am having the exact same issue but also havent been able to solve this, there is no option related to sorting the images in the gallery.

I have just installed quickpic from the market. Seems to display them in the correct order!

I had a stock Evo 3D for a while, waiting till HBoot 1.50 got cracked, when my phone screen cracked. Filed an insurance claim, received a new phone with HBoot 1.30, and immediately rooted and flashed the CM7 ROM.
Before I remember there was an option in the Gallery or the Camera .apk where you could "enhance" or "auto correct" a picture, similarly to the "auto correct" feature in Windows Picture Viewer. You could select a bunch of different options, like vintage, sepia, B&W and other ways to change the pic. This was after the picture had been taken, not a setting while taking the picture.
Since I'm on CM7, I can not find that option anymore. I'd like it back, but don't know how or where to get it. Can anyone help me? I'm using it specifically to auto correct pictures taken in low light and other situations. I don't really care about the other stuff that you can do, like most gallery apps in the market offer. I just want to be able to enhance the picture like auto correct.
Can anyone help me? Thanks.
I think that was part of the sense camera. Since cm7 is aosp it won't have it.

Yea, off the top of my head, two routes come to mind in order resolve this issue. Neither of them are easy or simple and personally I probably wouldn't take either, but perhaps somebody else will. Both routes require a bit of time and effort.
1) Port the feature over to the CM gallery. The CM code is all open source and they will accept code from anybody who can meet basic coding standards and has a workable patch, i.e. adding a patch for auto correct into the CM gallery. I'm sure they would accept this additional feature if it was coded properly.
2) Reverse the HTC feature and port over the apk over to CM. I see a few issues with this as most of the HTC apps use their framework, these frameworks would also have to be reversed out and/or ported over along with the application.
Hope the more technical details behind some possible routes to accomplish the goal help provide a better understanding of the process!
you could try a different camera app. zoom fx was 10 cents today, not sure if it does it, but my guess is a market camera app would have this feature.

Tried the Zoom FX, returned it. I've tried many camera apps and gallery apps. None of them have what I'm looking for. They all have settings/modes that are neat; but none of them enhance/auto correct for photos.
Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks guys!
I found this on the Android Market online and installed it from there since I can't find it on the app store. It has the auto enhance feature and kind of the 2d Gallery. It does have ads though.
I can't paste the link since I'm a new user. Google "Photo & Picture Gallery market.android" and you will find it.
Hope this helps you find what you are looking for - sort of
Why not try little photo? It has a ton of editing options

When I took some pictures and opened my gallery I noticed a "Blinkfeed" style gallery with "Friends" etc.....Here's the thing...I don't want that crap in my gallery...I actually like Blinkfeed in that it is basically a nicer looking widget for my social apps...but I don't care to see that **** in my gallery when it's already on my homescreen.....I've tried to find ways to disable it on facebook...but to no avail....I'm kind of confused as to why it's even on there and not just the pictures I took or downloaded....Not sure I described exactly what I mean....I'm coming from a Samsung Infuse and never saw that...although it's gallery file manager was crazy enough.

Click the menu button in the top right (The three dots) then select ADD ONLINE SERVICE and just unselect the ones you don't want to see
Yeah, I'm kind of annoyed with that as well. I don't have Facebook, and I also turned off syncing with Google Photos, DropBox, Flickr and Picasa. Yet, I still have a blank "friends" block in my gallery. I'm not sure how to get rid of that. Went into "apps" and tried the method of deleting the cache and data and starting over, but it's still there. Oh well.

I'm about to smash my Photon and I need some help. I recently upgraded to peetr's custom 2.3.5 hybrid ROM so I could use TMobil. The only camera app I can get to work with photobucket uploading is the stock camera. I've tried 3 other camera apps, and every time I select "photobucket" as the "Share this photo" destination, I get the "Media added to photobucket queue" message....and that's it. No uploading. No errors, nothing. If I use the stock camera to take a pic and select photobucket, it uploads just fine.
The problem is, the stock camera is tied into "Gallery ICS" and I can't separate them. In my previous setup, when I took a pic with the stock camera, then clicked on that pic in the bottom left corner, the pic would pop up full screen and I could check it out and upload or delete it.
In peetrs ROM, when I take a pic and then click on it, it opens Gallery ICS, which then shows me a thumbnail of every fricking folder anywhere on my camera I have a photo saved. WTF? I don't understand why anyone could possibly want that behavior from a camera app, but whatever. I've scoured the settings and I can't find any way to stop Gallery ICS from popping up when I want to view a pic in the camera.
Does anyone know how to fix the photobucket uploading issue or force the camera to just let me view a pic when I click on it?

Just a thought that you could try actually searching the the first post of this ROMS thread. The answer is right there under the optional APKs.
BlurCamera with gallery choice - mainly for Quickpic (pictures must be on internal SD)
That should hopefully fix your issue. I'll test with my photobucket to see if I can make it upload.

I have the new camera working, but when I click on a pic to view it, I get "Media Gallery not installed". This happens regardless of which storage location is selected (internal or SD). Am I supposed to install something else?

QuickPic was already installed before I "upgraded" the camera. I can launch QuickPic fine, but this new camera app doesn't give me the option to select a gallery, just an error when I click on a pic. Any other ideas?

If you can't set the photo gallery that launches, I would just move on to trying a different/previous camera. Can you go to manage apps and clear any defaults that would be causing it to only use that gallery?
Sorry, wish I could be more help.

Yes, I've cleared data, it did nothing. I really don't understand how this replacement camera is supposed to work, if it even does. Has anyone here successfully swapped out their stock camera with the one linked in the first post and have it working? If so, could you please respond?
This is the most frustrated I've been in 3 years, 2 cameras and a dozen roms. The stock camera and Camera ICS on this rom blinds everything with the flash making them unusable. This replacement camera doesn't blind everything with the flash, but it throws this damn "Media Gallery not installed" error. I just want crap back like it was, where I had a stock camera with a flash that didn't blind everything and let me open pics to view them without showing me every picture gallery on the camera. Of course I can't go back to that rom since I flashed the KDDI radio.
This should probably go in like a "general Android" forum, but since I don't really stray from the Note 2 forum, I figured I'd ask here.
Is there a way to keep photos from showing up in the Photos/Gallery apps? I have some special pictures () of my wife on my phone that I don't want showing up when I let someone see my phone to show them a random pic. I mean, yeah, I could take them off the phone, but I don't want to lmao.
Or maybe a setting somewhere? I didn't see anything in the Photos app...

I'd just move them to a subfolder and create a .nomedia file in it. This lets the scanner know to skip that folder and it won't show up in gallery.
Ha, works perfectly, thanks! :highfive:
Now, is there an easier way to view them other than removing the file? Are there apps that can view pictures even with that file?
Try Quickpic from play store. You can hide and show folders quickly from the menu button. Also an option to exclude folders. Way better than stock gallery imo.
