In Settings/System/Internal GPS, I have ticked the "automatic update GPS data every day" as I find it allows me to get a GPS fix in a couple of seconds rather than a couple of minutes.
However it annoys me that, every day, it asks me for confirmation that I want to "connect to download data". Is there a way to disable that warning and let it update silently?

My administrator has enabled automatic phone lock and set it to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes of inactivity, my phone locks and requires me to enter password before I can use my phone again. This is so annoying and I want to disable it. When I go under settings..security...the "Prompt for password" checkbox is checked and greyed out. I'm assuming this is being enforced via our exchange server.
Does anyone know if I can disable this via a registry setting or other hack? If not, does anyone know of application that will "fool" my phone into thinking I've pressed a key every 14 minutes, thus never allowing the phone to go the full 15 minutes and then lock?
Thanks.
Ok I found a little app that does the trick for all of you who have annoying rules forced upon you!
Hi
The app "social networks" (already installed as part of motoblur package) keeps "forgetting" to update from time to time. Anyone else has the same problem or knows a solution?
The app does not have a menu to manually update or change any settings.
Right!!! I have the same problem I'm not able to find setting for synchronization...I dont have understand how often the message of facebook (motoblure) are checked??
usually it must be checked every couple minutes as it always seems up to date, but now mine hasn't synced since two days ago. Restarting the phone didn't help either.
I've noticed that after the update (coincidence?) my widget fails to update. This works for me:
menu>settings>data manager>data delivery>background data (toggle the setting off then on) and escape. Seems to keep me going until the next morning. I think the smart battery saving settings that are in effect overnight (default) clog up the works so I need to repeat the process daily...
Yeah, it seems to have failed after update 2.21 > 2.51
And there is no way to manually refresh.
[Q] Android 4.4.2, the security option "verify apps" keeps toggling itself on
I don't like a scan periodically scanning my apps in the background, so I wanted to turn it off, but even after toggling it off (in the main security page in the tablet's menu), it ends up toggling itself back on a few hours later without my consent. Is that a common issue?
I went on the google settings page as well and unticked the two options to verify apps and send analysis info, and the funny thing is that merely accessing that page without changing the settings (and when they are already unticked) will automatically toggle the "verify apps" setting in the main security menu on the tablet. Although even if I dont visit that page, leave them unticked there and have it unticked in the main security menu, it will still toggle itself back on a few hours later in the main security menu.
What's going on here? Is google pushing that option to be on at all time to scan your apps regardless of users choice?
Has no one heard or experienced this issue?
To the people reading this who are using Kitkat, does your "verify apps" in the general menu remains unticked for extended periods of time without ticking itself back on? If so, do you have the latest versions of google playstore and google services? (can you even use old versions of those anyway? mine seem to auto update despite me having auto update disabled in the play store)
Anyone has any idea what is causing my issue and how I could solve it?
I just noticed this happening to me. It seems that if I uncheck it, then run the play store app, "verify apps" is checked on again. I don't know how to keep it off.
I get this daily notification to enable location services so it can update the network time even though I already have the system setting to update network time automatically.
It is coming from the phone as you can see and it still rings and vibrates even though i have them off.
I spent an hour on the phone with huawei today and they said it must be an app requesting the location which doesn't make sense to me as it says it is to update the network time (which I already have on).
I have never had a phone insist I turn on location services with a daily reminder before.
Just turn it on and leave it...it helps with many things that the phone does...maps, third party apps that find cell towers and WiFi hot spots, and of course what time zone you are in.
thanks, but I want to know how to stop the phone from asking me to turn it on every day, I don't want my gps on 24/7
Turn off automatic time and automatic timezone?

Any luck with this? I've got this damn annoying notification popping up every few hours or so too.... Have tried manual date and time adjustment. Also tried unticking all notifications managements within and it still shows up

Same here. On my mate 20 x. I googled this and found this thread.
Any luck?
I'm also experiencing this, I tried the same things as other posters here but still haven't found a way to stop this annoying daily notification. I'm on a Huawei P20 Pro.
Try turning off automatic time zone (whatever it's called in your settings)
Wrong.
I, too, am having this problem (also - as yet - without resolution) on Huawei.
I believe this problem (for me) is BECAUSE I have "automatic update" for Time/Clock turned off, and GPS turned off, BUT Google Services wants it/them turned on (by default). Indeed, I am lead to believe that you cannot remove Google Services from Android, while disabling Google Services is not effective. Love, Fred (not my real name).
Hi all,
I have just bought the amazfit pace, have to admit, am very happy, however one this is annoying me each time I connect the watch to my phone (I don't sleep with it, take it away and put it on plane mode) and is as follows:
The amazfit app is starting and showing each time this message (see attached for screenshot):
"Allow access to location" Allow Amazfit to search for and connect to devices after turning it on:
Option "Cancel" or "Go to Settings". (unfortunately since I am new I am not allowed to put links to outside webs, but if you want it, please let me know, will provide it).
When I press cancel, I am getting the same notification every time I open the app.
When I press go to settings, then I access the location menu.
This notification isn't shown as long as I have the GPS on the phone active (never).
Is there any way to erase it so that it doesn't appear anymore?
Thanks a lot!

No. Either keep GPS enabled or cancel every time you open the app (how often do you do this?!?).
