[Q] Error 7 when installing O2 1.6 (build 4399) - Streak 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=698
This is where I am currently following instructions from. I have gotten to #13 under going from AT&T 1.6 (build 6601) to O2 1.6 (build 4399) then upgrading to O2 2.1 (build 8105). I am not doing anything wrong, I have tried multiple times and each time I get the error below and the Streak reboots and is still on the same build. I have tried using the search function but its not very helpful.
I get an error 7 assert failed write_raw_image issue

[Q] Build 8023 to Build 8105 or Froyo

Can someone point me in the right thread to find out how I can update my AT&T Streak from build 8023 to either build 8105 or Steve's Froyo 2.2?

what is the latest UK build ?

hi
what is the latest UK build ?
thanks
6267 on 1.6
I don't think we should count the **** up 2.1 that o2 pushed out
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
I'm using Streak in Thailand and wondering that 2.1 in UK by O2 is the official rom or not?
8105 is the latest build. its released, official, and for o2 uk streaks or any others that had been flashed with the o2 recovery rom. theres nothing wrong with 2.1, its quite good. if you refer to the 6993 (or something) beta build of 2.1, that was very buggy.

[Q] How do I get to 2.3.3? (resolved)

Resolved: the link in the Edit worked (the 2nd time, first time it just kept looping the Sony Ericson logo over and over so I reflashed).
Edit: Maybe nevermind, trying http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192152 now.
Just picked up this phone from a friend. It had some unknown custom rom of 2.1 on it.
I followed the guide in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
Downloaded and installed Flash Tool
Downloaded and put X10a_GB2.3.3_AT&T_USA.ftf in the firmwares folder and followed the instructions and flashed the phone.
Upon restart I noticed I had 1.6 and not 2.3.3
I ran the official update from the PC Companion and it put it up to 2.1 and is now showing No Update Available.
Can anybody tell me what I did wrong? the 2.3.3 rom is the only rom i downloaded so i know i didn't just flash the wrong one.
I'm showing
Model number: X10a
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version 2.1.65
Kernel version: 2.6.29 [email protected] #1
Build number: 2.1.A.0.492
The reason I'm wanting to upgrade is to meet the requirements to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238402
Any help?
1st step
download rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238402
7.03 baseband 2.1.67 or less
7.10 baseband 2.1.71 or more
download flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
if 2.1/2.2
1) help > check driver
2) [Root] then rebot
3) [ask root prems]
4) [xRecovery]
after that rebot, press the back bottom, enjoi it

[Q] Rogers Restore for SE X10

Hi Everyone,
I want to restore my phone back to Rogers default. When I bought it it had 1.6. They upgraded to 2.1 with no update to 2.3 in sight. That's when I flashed it. Now there are a lot of things that aren't working properly on it. But I'm over the curiosity and just want to restore it. Not to 1.6 but to Rogers 2.3.
I did several searches and the only relevant post was 1 1/2 years old and referenced things that no longer work.
I did to a factory reset from the phone then hooked it up to PC Companion, but it just says I have the most up to date software. But I know what a Rogers SE x10 ships with and I don't have any of it.
Here are the settings from "Settings > About Phone";
Model Number: X10i
Android Version 2.3.3
Baseband Number: 2.1.7.1
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-0054-g5f01537 [email protected] #1
Build number: 3.0.1.G.0.75
Thanx in advance.

[Q] Downgrade to Android 2.1 from Froyo on Samsung Galaxy 5 i5503

Hi all,
I have Samsung Galaxy 5 i5503 with Android 2.1 Eclair vesion as OS, and the mobile was bought in India. So, there was no update to Froyo from Samsung.
Recently I have upgraded it to Froyo on my own using ODIN Multi Downloader.
Details:
Model number: GT-I5500L
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: I5500LUYJP2
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected] #2
Build Number: FROYO.UYJP2
I have completed the process, but have some issues like too much usage of battery (hardly stays for 1 day), bluetooth file transfer not working, some applications are not even showing but are installed and can open only through the below process
Market->My Apps->[open Application]->[click on Open]
Now, i want to downgrade ti back to Android 2.1, but could not find a way after searching in google for sometime (May be I was a bit stressed out about thinking of this issue and could concentrate on it).
I need help (steps) on downgrading or doing a fresh copy installation of Eclair on my Samsung Galaxy 5 i5503. I also need the links for downloading the original version which was given to me by Samsung earlier. I am from India.
So, please help me out. Let me know if you need any further information
Thank you,
Vamsi
